HRC is a true family club! At HRC they offer many sports and exercise programs for all ages. The members are very friendly and helpful to each other. At HRC both Pickleball and tennis players enjoy tournaments, socials and classes. HRC does an angel tree every year giving presents to the Memory Care and Assisted Living. HRC is involved in planning fun creative activities such as paint and Sip, they have educational activities to keep members educated about different challenges with sports injuries and how to prepare for every day challenges. My teen son and I started playing tennis at HRC last year in Try Tennis. I continue to dabble, but my son has become a full-blown tennis fanatic, fully invested, and recently moved up to the Futures Program, where he is now conditioning and will begin competing by mid-summer. HRC provides a variety of classes and meets each player where they are. It is a joy to participate and see the sparkle in the eyes as the new skills are learned. We appreciate the dedicated and skilled coaches and staff doing what they love. We had no idea we would find so much joy and support within this welcoming tennis family.

We’ve been members there for going on 10 years. My daughter took high performance tennis classes there, and she still comes back to train to help her get ready for her college tennis seasons. I am a member at the HRC and have been taking group and private lessons for a little over a year now, and I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience! All of the coaches are incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and very supportive with adults and kids. The owners of the club and all of the employees go above and beyond to get to know each and every one of the members, making everyone feel welcome! The facilities are always top-notch and well-maintained, and the atmosphere is friendly and inviting. Whether you are a beginner who has never picked up a racquet before, an advanced player who wants to take your game to the next level, or a parent of a child who wants learn how to play, I highly recommend you join the HRC!

We are so lucky to have this gem in western North Carolina. It's owned by an awesome couple who have put their heart and soul into making this club an amazing place for its members. My husband and I have been members for about 7 years now. There are 6 outdoor clay courts that are super nice, as well as 3 indoor courts.They have new outdoor pickleball courts too. They continue to upgrade and improve whenever possible. They just recently put in all new fitness equipment in the gym, which is part of the most recent renovations. Soon, brand new locker rooms will be completed. The best part of the club is the people. The coaches are top notch! Cre, Carlista, Branson, Savannah, and Kaitlin are all fabulous. Truly the best around! I know several people who drive an hour to come to clinics and personal lessons. It's because of the awesome coaches. HRC is simply the best!

I love HRC. My husband has played tennis there for 10 years. I participate in Pickle Ball. The staff have always been very friendly, supportive and available for us. I only have high praise for the coaches and all staff. Highly recommend this club.

I had a 5th grader and a 7th grader enrolled at HRC for weekly group tennis classes with "Coach Caitlin". The group tennis classes are ironically called "Fun damentals" per the HRC website.

In my opinion, this coach does not know how to appropriately behave around people. After witnessing multiple inappropriate interactions with parents and children (including yelling matches), concerns were brought to the attention of management by multiple sets of parents. To be clear, other families have left HRC due to the behavior of this coach already.

After the most recent issue that involved the coach humiliating my 5th grader because they are shy, I was told that I would receive a call back after discussions were had internally. I never received that call.

I followed up a week later after my kids skipped the prior class due to the aforementioned issues with the coach and not having received the promised call back. The plan was to unenroll my 5th grader while keeping my 7th grader in the group class since they like the kids in the group (in spite of the coach).

I was informed that both my children had already been removed from the class. Clearly HRC felt better kicking my kids out due to Coach Caitlin's inappropriate behavior rather than fix the actual issue.

For clarification, my kids had been taking group tennis classes at HRC for about a year, with them moving to Coach Caitlin's "green" group class in September. We never had an issues with the coach in the "orange" group and have never had an issue with substitute coaches or any other facilty member at HRC.

I just finished an introduction to pickleball with Cree as the instructor. It was a great class, so much fun! Cree did a great job teaching us the rules and the ever challenging scoring of Pickleball. He also taught us great strategies! After only 4 lessons I feel confidant to play with and against more advanced players! I did not want the classes to end! I’m considering the next sessions! The club itself is very nice! Certainly thinking about being a member at some point! Thanks for the very fair pricing for this intro course for nonmembers!
