This studio allows 24hr member access, you can bring a guest, they have foam rollers and showers, also if you show up early to your session you can use the free weight area. If you forget your mat and towel you can use the locker to rent one for that session. The staff are always friendly.

Our experience with Hotworx has been extremely disappointing. The membership contracts are rigid and deceptive, offering no flexibility even in legitimate circumstances. Despite my wife’s having underlying health issues, the staff showed no understanding or willingness to accommodate our situation. Their dismissive and unhelpful attitude only added to our frustration. For the steep price they charge, you’d expect a far higher level of customer service and compassion. My experience with Hotworx has been very disappointing. I signed up for a membership last year, but shortly afterward, I found out I was pregnant. My doctor advised that saunas were unsafe during pregnancy, so I could no longer use the facility. Unfortunately, Hotworx would not allow me to cancel my membership and only offered the option to freeze my account. I was required to call every three months to renew the freeze, and I’ve been paying for a frozen account for an entire year.

Now that I’m postpartum and adjusting to life with a newborn, I accidentally missed the deadline to refreeze my account last month. I’m still not physically ready to return to the gym, yet I was charged for a full month that I couldn’t use. I’m very disappointed with how inflexible the policies are, especially in situations like pregnancy and postpartum recovery.

I have been a member of several workout studios in the past with no real results and I must say HOTWORX was the answer for me. I have Lupus, and a number of other other auto immune diseases and a very stressful job and It is extremely difficult for me to lose weight. I have been a member since 2020 and with consistent workouts I have gone down 4 sizes, I’m much more toned, have more energy, more relaxed, my joints don’t ache like they had, I am more flexible, my skin tone has improved and my eczema has cleared. HOTWORX has been a huge plus in my life and I have never regretted becoming a member.

When I signed up for Hotworx over a year and an half ago, I was told my membership was month-to-month and that I could cancel anytime. Later, I was injured and tried to cancel by phone — they told me I had to come in person. I went in person, cancelled, and they stopped charging my card… or so I thought.

Three months later, out of nowhere, they started charging my card again. When I went back to ask why, they said I had to pay a $100 cancellation fee because of “new management” and “contracts.” I never signed any new contract, and yet this manager kept charging my card.

They tried to charge my account every single day until I finally had to close my entire bank account just to make it stop. Corporate? Completely unresponsive — no calls returned, no emails answered, nothing.

This place is a scam. They have hidden fees, hidden cancellation charges, and the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced with any gym. Do not sign up — you will regret it.

I just became a member of HOTWORX about a week ago and I'm already addicted. I've gone to atleast one session a day because of how amazing I feel post workout. I have met the kindest people Alena and Lily who have been nothing short of extremely helpful since I first walked in the door. This is a great gym because the saunas work great, there's a free-weight area, and the staff is the friendliest and truly care about the clients. Oh what an experience! The best fitness adventure that I have ever embarked upon and trust me I have tried a lot of gym in the area but this one by far has been the most rigorous, challenging yet rewarding. I'm so glad my wife convinced me to join. As a disabled vet and an amputee I find that the infrared heat helps drastically with the swelling and stiffness I get. I've been to a lot of hotworx in NC and this one seems to be the worst one. The environment is so weird, the lady at the front is just on her phone the entire time. Their isnt any music playing even though they have a speaker(btw i cant connect to it because its connected to an iphone which isnt playing music lol). I tried to bring a first time guest with me and I couldn't because no one was there even though the hours clearly say someone should have been there when we went. Its their lost she went to apex and opened her account there.. Honestly it's just weird vibes, if you go to any other hotworx you will know that the environment is usually very bubbly and welcoming. I'm giving it two stars because if you are experienced you pretty much can just help yourself and thats where I'm at right now with this location. They have a free weights section with a free bar which is awesome cause most hotworx don't but they only have enough to put 45lbs on each side which is nothing. If you really want to try hotworx because you love the concept and don't mind driving the Apex location is awesome and they go above and beyond to help you!

I wanted to add something extra to my workout routine and figured I would give hotworx a try after hearing about it. I did the free class and immediately wanted to sign up. I had issues with my card saving (which was my problem with my bank, not hotworx problem) so I started off a bit rough. I wish I could remember her name who initially helped me, she was so kind and honestly was at least 60% of the reason I felt inclined to join. I came back that following monday to finish signing up and ended up with someone else helping me who honestly wasn't much help at all. She went against a lot of what the first girl said and kind of ran through everything leaving me with so many questions. A totally different vibe than the first girl.
I now have everything settled though and have thoroughly enjoyed the classes I have taken and HIGHLY recommend hotworx to everyone. I was also notified that the second lady I had dealt with is no longer there which was nice to hear. Taylor and Tatiana (if I spelled their names wrong I am so sorry) were absolutely amazing, I typically come early in the morning before employees were there so it was the first time I've seen them. They helped answer my questions from sign up and handle everything to where I am again loving it.

Zero stars. Kristen the GM is terrible and is not willing to solve any issues. My granddaughter and I joined in 9/21 and canceled in 12/21. all was fine with no billings then in 10/22 they charged my account $590 for my account and $390 for my granddaughters. Past dues???
I was told there was no cancelation letter in my file. Seriously I was not billed for months because I canceled. The letter which is not in my file is between them and who has access to their system.
I filed a complaint with BBB.

I would give zero stars if I could. Without going into too much detail, I’ll just say the only thing I’ve gotten out of this gym is uncomfortable experiences. They let me try a class for free and it went well so I got a membership. All down hill from there. 9/10 whoever is working is on a cell phone acting like me simply being there is an annoyance. Most of the time one or two of the saunas aren’t working. While packing my gym bag I overheard the girls at the front desk saying incredibly disrespectful things about our military and that was enough for me. I don’t usually leave reviews but I just couldn’t leave this unsaid. I made an appointment to go in and try the facility before signing up for a membership. The appointment was at 1, and I was told to arrive early so I got there 10 minutes before. The door was locked and I waited outside for about 5 minutes calling to let them know I was there, I was about to just leave but someone who was already a member let me inside. Then I sat in the front area for about another 5 minutes and a lady finally came to check me in. It was well past 1 at this point and I tried to sign everything fast so I could get started and she insisted on showing me everything in the building before I started the workout, even after I asked if I could do that after the class, and the lady (name was Kristen I believe) says she’ll just “put me in the next class”, without even asking me. I was on a schedule and did not have time to wait for the next class, I showed up early and everything and I’m extremely annoyed that she wasted my time like that.

I absolutely love the variety of classes, flexibility of time, and how clean the facility is. The workers are all friendly and helpful too. The only thing I would change is the size of the saunas. I’m 5’11” and have a hard time comfortably doing simple poses such as a sun salutation when standing or a cobra when laying down. Everything else about Hotworx is wonderful.

Wasn't greeted upon entry.worked out w/friend but space is extremely tight for 2 and best if shorter than 5'5 as I'm 5'6 & didn't have room to fully extend for exercise

I absolutely loveeee going to hotworx. I just recently got my membership, and have been going every single day. Before COVID I was going to a regular gym that offered fitness classes, and they were fun to go to but I didn’t see the results as much as I do at this fitness center. Combing the infrared heat with a workout truly leaves your body feeling rejuvenated. I always leave feeling so good about myself from the accomplishment of getting my workout in for the day. I highly recommend going to this fitness center, it’s definitely worth the money!!

HOTWORX is a unique fitness experience that is exactly what this area needed. The staff is friendly and the facility as always clean. Working out in heat might not seem appealing to some but once you try it, you’re hooked. The isometric classes offer great diversity for toning your whole body or focusing on some problem areas. The HIIT bikes and weight zone are a great addition that gives you easy ways to cross train your workout and reach goals. I love the scheduling app and virtual instructor aspect of the studio most of all plus the fact that they are open 24 hours! Definitely give it a try - first class is free!
