If I could give the HOTWORX in Leland, NC more than 5 stars, I would – but sadly, Google hasn’t added that feature yet. (Looking at you, Google developers – get on it, please!)

I’ve tried a couple of the Wilmington locations, and while they’re fine, the Leland studio is like the “favorite child” of the HOTWORX locations – cleaner, friendlier, and somehow just… better. Walking in, you’re greeted with smiles that feel genuine (not the “I’m-being-paid-to-smile” kind) and a space that is spotless enough to make you wonder if a secret cleaning fairy lives there full time.

The staff doesn’t just remember your name – they make you feel like part of the HOTWORX family. They’ll cheer you on if you’re dragging, celebrate your milestones, and somehow convince you that sweating in a 120-degree room is the best part of your day. (And honestly, they’re not wrong.)

The vibe here is what sets it apart. It’s welcoming, warm, and has that family-feel where you don’t just feel like another gym member – you feel like you belong.

So yes, if you’re choosing between Leland and Wilmington… go to Leland. Just don’t take my sauna spot.

The infrared workouts are intense but efficient—I always leave feeling stronger, detoxed, and energized. I am updating my review only because the owner called me.

It was very clear the management staff wasn’t trained on the proper procedures and that was explained to us after my initial review regarding predatory practices was posted.

Brandy the owner made things right and explained the mismanagement of it situation and did apologize.

I do not feel like this place deserves a full 5 stars because of the attitude and treatment by the Assistant Manager when we came into the location as well as the lack of proper communication between employees. The fact of the matter is the ball was dropped.

The gym itself was fine— but the people can definitely make it way better if the assistant manager had a change in attitude.

Love the privacy as I workout! It doesnt have the traditional gym atmosphere. I had never used a sauna or infrared before Hotworx but felt invigorated after the first time. For busy people it's great! I am participating in 3 healthy practices at once - it's a compact way to get a really good workout . A side benefit is all the water I drink before, during, and after.

I absolutely LOVE this gym! I received a call from Mady at the front desk offering me a free workout, and she was incredible—so friendly and welcoming. She really sold me on joining. The managers and staff are all so kind, always greeting you with a smile. I’ve never felt this welcomed at a gym before! The workouts are top-notch and incredibly motivating. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great fitness experience!

The benefits of going to Hotworx really stack up, I'll try to list them all, but first I want to recognize the owners and staff at the Leland location for taking such pride in what they do.
Community driven and local Chamber of Commerce members, Brandy & Brian go above and beyond to make sure their facility is clean and up to date, as well as making sure their staff is educated and friendly. These things make it easy to walk in the door and want to keep coming back!

Now the benefits:
- weight loss (I've lost over 20 lbs in 3.5 months)
- joint pain is gone
- muscle soreness after lifting weights is gone

At first, I was skeptical about the 35-40 minute workouts, but after trying it out, I realized it was exactly what I needed. I drive by HotWorx everyday and although I was a little nervous I worked up the courage to go check it out and I can confidently say that it is one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life. I love the atmosphere and the workouts are fun and enjoyable, but the one thing that really made my experience everything it was started when I walked in the door and was greeted by Ashtyn. Whoever hired her did something right. She was so friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I could have sat there and talked to her for hours she has such a grounding energy. She was able to answer every question I had (mind you I ask a lot of questions guilty of being an over thinker) without even batting an eye. She is a great employee and such an asset to the team. ASHTYN earned my membership. All around this place is awesome and I’m stoked to be apart of it.

I absolutely LOVE this place! The least intimidating gym I have ever been to. I love how private the saunas feel, the work outs are easy to follow, and I always leave feeling satisfied and proud of myself.

I won’t lie, the buy in and commitment is not cheap- after the sign up fee, monthly fee, mat and towel (that you *have* to have for the ISO workout side) you’re easily looking at over $150-250 depending. But again, to someone like me, it is worth every penny!!

Best fitness studio in town! 24/7 Access makes it easy to get to the gym on my own time. Virtually led instructors are motivating without being overbearing. I love the amount of different hot exercises, some HIIT (cycling, rowing, blast) and some isometric including hot yoga and barre!

I am thrilled to have joined Hotworx in Leland. It has been so hard for me to get back to working out because nothing interests me, so at 42 years old, I was feeling so out of shape. Well, I went for a free class, and I was hooked! Not only do I love the workouts and how well I feel and look in only 60 days, but I love the staff and the owners. They check on you and make you feel welcome and that you belong there. The facility is always super clean. The people I’ve shared the sauna with have been friendly, and it doesn’t feel awkward. I suggest you don’t waste more time and get your health and body back on track. Hotworx Leland is the place to do it.

As a traditional gym rat, I would've NEVER thought that I would enjoy this style of exercise, but it's so unique and beneficial that I'm addicted! Do your homework on infrared from places such as The Cleveland Clinic to learn about the health benefits!! Before entering, I was worried about being sweaty in a sauna with others and it feeling odd but that's not the case at all! First, the entire facility is kept very clean and you're only sweating on your large mat and towel so that eased my concern instantly. The other part I wasn't sure about was working out with two other people in the sauna. It wasn't what I thought and actually enhanced my workout as we were all pushing each other. The classes are easy to follow with the virtual instructor. If you can't see the tv during a move, they provide verbal instructions that allow you to understand the move. Bottom line, the infrared workouts are so unique that I will forever incorporate into my fitness plan and this location is awesome.

Like the heated rooms, but the rooms are very small. Three people cannot workout in there without touching eachother. The room is built for 2 people comfortably. Hard to follow instructor because the TV is too high to see when you're doing floor exercises. Exercises need to change more often. Overall it's ok.
