It is great working with Katya online; she is really helping me improve in my lifting - with a goal to participate in a powerlifting meet. When I send Katya my videos, I am often surprised at what she can see and help me correct. Sometimes they are subtle moves - hard for me to see, yet she sees them! It especially nice when she notices that I am trying to incorporate her suggestions!

I started off lifting with adjustable dumbbells at home, and today I was able to do a set of 4 deadlifts at 125 pounds. I had to take a brief rest between one rep and the next, and Katya's encouragement playing in my head got me through.

I highly recommend Katya as a coach! She is very responsive and I am comfortable asking her anything. I'm 72 years old, and loving this!!!

Katya is a no nonsense trainer with a heart of gold. I am on my 4th month training remotely. I meet with her 1x a week and do The other workouts she prescribes on my own, sending her videos of specific lifts. I am Taking ownership of my own workouts, I work out in my basement. It feels good to learn the technique, And make improvements on my own, And share them with Katya! Katya is a stickler for technique! My degree is Exercise Science, I was a personal trainer for yrs. I have been around this world a long time, over 20 yrs. I have never experienced the kind of attention to detail that Katya is able to give. And it is remote! Honestly I didn’t think that was possible. She has a keen eye for movement, she pushes me, yet knows how to customize on the fly and in the planning. I thought I needed an in person experience because I am a social person, I struggled with it in the beginning. Lifting like this is new for me and using an App was kind of a nightmare at first because I am 55 and i don’t love learning technology. Lol. But with my husband’s support, and him seeing how much improvement I had made in such a short time , he kept me going. Once I understood the App and was seeing Katya 1x a week on video calls my mindset has seriously shifted.
I am vegan , the only change in my diet was eating extra protein. My weight has stayed at 134 but my body is more compact with muscle so I went down a clothing size. There are so many improvements! Katya’s programs Have made a long lasting impact on my back strength and hip mobility. It’s literally life-changing! I am so happy I stuck it out because I now understand why power lifting is so important and lifting light to moderate weight & doing higher reps wasn’t helping me reach strength goals. My only regret is that I didn’t invest in private power lifting coaching earlier. Private is best to learn technique and not get injured. I highly recommend Katya because you will learn a ton! And see progress!

I am a newbie to personal training. After years of doing the same thing at the gym, I decided to become a client in order to learn more and ensure that I am executing moves correctly. Katya and the programs she customizes for me have exceeded my expectations. She is extremely communicative and sees her clients as full humans with lives and busy schedules. The workouts have gotten me out of my comfort zone and I can tell that I am growing in many ways, both in the gym and with my nutrition. She is quick to pick you up when you're being hard on yourself, always demonstrating a level of understanding and empathy I did not expect from a strength training coach.
Also, the app is very useful and keeps me on track with my workouts, progress photos, and nutrition goals.

I've worked with Katya for 7 weeks now, and have enjoyed the process. She is quite flexible with respect to working with client needs and amazingly tolerant. In these 7 weeks I had to travel for a few of them causing me to slow down/loose progress and she helped me work with whatever I had access to. She adapts to the equipment at hand which was cool. She was also accepting of the fact that I wanted to lift more than she prescribed, and that I engaged in activities that hinder optimal recovery. But those qualities aside, the workouts she designs are fun, the exercises change regularly, and I can feel progress, hence I would recommend working with her.

As a vegan weightlifter, it’s tough to find someone who has the same perspective on training, diet/nutrition, and self-care that I need in order to be the best version of myself. I found Katya through her work in the vegan fitness community, and was impressed immediately by her strength, values, and kindness. When I decided to set my sights on competitive powerlifting, I knew that Katya would be the best person to guide me, and she has exceeded my expectations.

Katya developed a training program that allowed me to work out at home, using the equipment I already have. She provided a diet strategy that has helped me to increase my strength and grow the muscle I need to lift heavy (yes, this is possible as a vegan!). The Total Body Lab app makes executing the workouts and diet plans super easy, and keeps me in touch with Katya on a daily basis.

Katya does a great job analyzing my lifting technique and providing recommendations on how to improve. She’s direct, but kind, which is the perfect combination to have in a coach. She also shows empathy when things come up, or I’m not at my best, understanding that we are all human. I look forward to working with Katya in the coming months as she helps me grow as an athlete and human being!

Katya's Total Body Lab along with Alexei is an indeed unique experience. They will adjust their coaching to your lifestyle for the most optimal experience and success. Their communication is flawless and they will not skip a beat. Started working with Katya about 2 months ago. She’s very good at figuring out the client’s strengths and weaknesses and ensuring that we stay balanced. It’s very easy to focus on what you are good at and what you like when you train without a coach. That won’t happen if you work with Katya.

If you want to make some changes/ improvements in your life, give her a try. Remember that means you are going to have to make some changes in your life! If you keep doing the same thing you’ll keep getting the same results. Change isn’t easy, but Katya will meet you where you are and support you and guide you.

I approached Katya with a very specific lifting goal in mind and she put together a literally world-class team with expertise specific to my goal to help coach me. Reduced cholesterol numbers by 17% in 2 months!

I’m a working father in his 40s with high cholesterol who only wanted to do home workouts. I chose Katya because of her previous experience lowering her patients’ cholesterol. It wasn’t easy, but after 2 months, I lowered my total cholesterol from 230 to 190 mg/dL (also, unintentionally lost 7 pounds in the process too)!

I’ve been working with Katya since July 2021. My initial goal was to improve my overall health, while constantly working at the front of computer. Another reason was to restore physical strength after two pregnancies and increase my energy level after COVID.
So far, just for 3 months of working with Katya once a week personally and via app at home/gym, I feel myself as before pregnancy mode - high level of energy, more strength and lost 8lb, and NO back/shoulders pain…
My VO2max after COVID dropped down significantly from 38 to 30, with Katya I was able to move it up to 36 and moving toward.
I enjoy working with Katya, as she is very professional, flexible with nutrition preferences, the routine of doing exercise is not boring, as she always can adjust it based on your lifestyle.

I would highly recommend Katya to everyone who is looking to improve their eating habits, overall health and appearance, crash that “plateaus effect” and stress in everyday life, to find that “balance” between work/family responsibilities and doing something for yourself! I've started powerlifting roughly 3 years ago and unfortunately went through a phase for over a year in which I couldn't escape from plateaus without proper guidance. I've tried researching on my own, imitated what other elite-level lifters were presenting, and despite all my efforts found myself reverting back to my old habits. And at the end of 2020, after failing to lift what I've wanted for all of my lifts during my self-planned attempts to hit my PRs, I've finally decided to give it a go with Katya and Alexei to discover my true potential in hopes of being slightly better at what I truly love to do.

What I didn't expect was how I was able to not only gain strength but also drop a few pounds throughout my first 3 months of training. For strength training, Alexei has been providing me with strength training programs which at first looked quite challenging but turned out to be not only very engaging and motivating but also very helpful in correcting form. The programs are by no means easy because each workout really makes me push my limits slowly and gradually while making me stick to the very core stuff. For nutrition, Katya has introduced me to her nutrition program that was not only easy to follow but also very effective - I have found out and learned a lot of knowledge regarding eating and experience weight loss / gain, along with recipes and macro plans that are quite easy and affordable to follow.

Also worth mentioning is that both Alexei and Katya constantly cares for you to prevent injury while guiding through your fitness plan, whether it be losing weight, gaining muscle, increasing strength, or even simply having a healthier life. All I did was follow programs and nutritional plans and they showed results (which is still ongoing) I've hardly expected before - they really work not only because they're solid with "sticking to the basics and core stuff" but also because both Alexei and Katya really care for you.

The app and website are also pretty useful for keeping track of your fitness plans. Overall - highly recommend, and I mean really highly recommend.

Both Katya and Angela are phenomenal trainers. I was a complete newbie. I had not the first clue as to what I was doing. They listened to my goals, wrote customized plans that worked for me, and answered the many many questions I had. If you are not local to the Durham area, don't worry. Neither am I, but I did this all virtually and it is super effective!! I videoed myself lifting and they were able to correct my form. And the beauty of this is that you can train on your own schedule as opposed to trying to match schedules with your trainer. There are so many more great things I could say about them, but I will end with this. They are really fun people to get to know, and they will make it like you are working out with a friend -but a friend who happens to know a whole lot about fitness, lifting, and nutrition!
