Usually very nice customer service, the receptionist (usually male) scans your membership card to check in. Our family spends about $280 a month for membership. The place is pretty clean, they provide towels, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. There is a day care center for the kids, spa/salon, and cafe. Downstairs they have family, female, and male locker/shower rooms, they have hot tub, mist room, sauna, and the swimming pool. Upstairs they have gym machines, basketball court, weights, etc.
Will note that car break-ins in the parking lot have been an issue (it's been on the news), though luckily we have only had our temporary dealership license plate stolen.

This is the best gym I’ve ever been to when it comes to equipment and training. But honestly, the customer service really drags it down.
There used to be one amazing guy at the front desk who made everyone feel welcome, but he’s rarely there now. The rest of the staff don’t even bother to say hello, and it gives off a cold, unwelcoming vibe.
For a gym of this level, the lack of basic customer service is disappointing. If they don’t fix that, it takes away from the whole experience.

Go to the Cary Life Time. For years I've asked for equipment to be repaired, for them to clean out the water fountains, to get some airflow going in the front row of the cardio section, & to keep up with cleaning. They recently removed all 35lb weights & there are cleaning wipes under the machines that haven't been picked up for months. I shouldn't need to clean up areas of neglect, but I do. This facility does not respond back to emails either. Go to the other LT.

The music and a some of the weight room equipment have been around for a "Life Time." Membership dues is pricey, includes a lot of amenities I don't use. Cleanliness in the weight lifting areas seems inconsistent. Convenient location and friendly staff.

Stopped by the club while I was in town visiting family and just wanted to share how impressed I was! Compared to other locations I’ve visited, this club is noticeably cleaner and well-kept. I was especially impressed with Cass, who was so welcoming and seemed to always be on the move taking care of the locker rooms. The amenities are great, and I really love how spacious the fitness floor feels. Amazing job to the whole team for keeping the club in top shape!

The amenities are excellent and I’m happy with my membership. The staff are all nice enough but it never feels like there is anyone in particular in charge. Nobody walking around to see how things are going and check in with people. I don’t get responses to the occasional email I send and using the massage chairs is a little odd. You have to call downstairs and ask them to turn it on despite having reserved one. I say all this to say it’s a little transactional but it’s still the best option around in my opinion for the wealth of amenities -including a great outdoor pool where I’ve never had to worry about finding a chair and a very comfortable one at that.

The pool always have code brown every time we go we spend more our of the pool because kids keep pooping in it than we in the pool. It is very disgusting they need to enforce a policy for kids to wear swim diapers or build a pool only kids under 5. This way not everyone has to leave the pool with every incident. 💩💩💩

This gym is extremely packed. They’ve oversold their memberships and if you go to the gym during peak hours, good luck getting a squat rack or really any equipment. My feedback for Lifetime is to have a waitlist as other clubs have for a better member experience.
Also, please work with NCDOT on getting a stoplight to exit Lifetime onto Falls of Neuse Rd. It’s extremely dangerous - I’ve totaled my car attempting to this intersection.

first off, i want to highlight my experience with Toni, one of the personal trainers. i came in and he was doing a 1 minute plank = 5 minutes of stretching session. max 3 minutes. he displayed professionalism throughout my session with him. i can tell he is passionate about his job.
i’ve been a member at life time in the past in another state and had a great experience. this location is just as good, if not better. staff are friendly and helpful and the gym has a lot of amenities. the weight room can get packed during peak hours but they are closed until midnight which is nice for anyone who chooses to workout late.
they have towels, shampoo, mouth wash, hair spray, hair dryers, shaving cream and razors, and deodorant in the locker rooms.
the price is definitely worth it if you use the amenities.

I’ve been to Life Times all across the country and it’s very apparent that this location is well-managed and hires the right people. The facilities are clean and well maintained. My wife loves the various classes offered and the ability to make reservations that are actually enforced. Other locations rarely enforce reservations. Casey, Meray, and Future, the pickleball pros, offer valuable clinics each week and do an excellent job enforcing Open Play reservations. Our two kids love the Kids Academy and we take advantage of as many Parents Night Out opportunities that they offer. Both have learned how to swim through LT’s weekly swim classes, so shout out to the Aquatics team for all they do. I appreciate how well the Cafe and Bistro manage online orders, as other locations don’t notice the orders until you make them aware. As for the spa, I’ve had nothing but the best experiences with the LMTs there.
No two Life Times are the same. The management and staff will determine whether your experience is positive or negative. We love this location and highly recommend it to those exploring.

I’ve been a member at this gym, and unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing. First and most seriously, my belongings were stolen from the parking lot, and I received little to no support from management in addressing the situation. Security and member safety clearly aren’t a priority here.
Additionally, the sauna has been out of order for weeks (if not months) with no real communication or timeline for repair. One of the main reasons I joined this gym was for the full amenities — it’s frustrating to pay for services that aren’t delivered

Infectious skin disease in Kids Academy and break ins
We recently relocated and transferred our memberships from the San Antonio location, which was managed exceptionally well. Unfortunately, our experience at the Raleigh gym has been disappointing and falls far below acceptable standards.
Initially, we decided to remain at the gym despite a break-in incident during the day, where several vehicles were targeted. It surprised me that this location lacks security personnel patrolling the parking lot, unlike San Antonio, which had two guards on duty at all times. The manager mentioned installing a portable security camera for the parking area to boost security and safety, but there have been no updates or improvements since.
Beyond the property damage, our main concern has been the absolute lack of cleanliness in the Kids Academy.
The hygiene standards here are shockingly low compared to our Texas location. Upon entering the Raleigh Kids Academy, we were immediately struck by the stench of feet and old socks. Within a week of attending, my child developed athlete's foot, and despite treatment, she contracted it two more times in just a few weeks. We tried doubling up on socks, but since shoes are not allowed in the play areas, my child left with dirty, stained socks that often had to be discarded.
The situation reached a breaking point when my daughter sustained a small cut on the slide in the Kids Academy. Within an hour, the area became red and inflamed. Despite throughly cleaning the cut, it just looked like more was happening. By day three, she had developed a full staph infection with additional blisters along the back of her knee. After two rounds of antibiotics, she is only now beginning to recover.
When we reported this incident to the front desk, we were told, “we get this complaint a lot.” This response is shocking since her pediatrician advised us to sanitize her clothes, bedding, bathtub, and sitting areas after each use due to the contagious nature of the infection. It's alarming to think that this bacteria is lingering on the slide due to inadequate cleaning. Also, There was never any notice to the other parents that this infectious disease is present in the Kids Academy nor was it shut down to be cleaned thoroughly.
It is utterly unacceptable to trust the safety of our children to a facility that does not maintain proper cleanliness and security, especially considering the fees we pay. Our children's safety and well-being deserve far better.
Photos are the truck break in and comparisons of day 1 to day 3, showing how quickly the skin disease spread before antibiotics.

I've been a member of this branch of Lifetime Fitness since it opened and I can honestly say I'm very satisfied with all aspects of the club. The facilities, services, classes and especially the staff, are all first rate!
I use my membership 5-6 times-a-week but just had major surgery on my right shoulder that will keep me "on the sidelines" for at least 3 months. I called to see if I could put my membership on-hold and spoke with D'Anna. She was friendly, courteous, and very knowledgable. She explained that I was eligible to put my membership on a "medical freeze" (putting my dues on hold) and would be able continue my active membership when healthy again. I look forward to getting in the pool and playing pickleball again soon and being a member of LifeTime for years to come!

I strongly advise against purchasing a membership at this Lifetime Fitness location.
Since joining in 2021, I’ve encountered ongoing issues that reflect poor management and a lack of care for members. The gym’s entrance has a persistent sewage odor due to an unresolved plumbing issue, unchanged since I became a member, which mirrors the subpar treatment members receive.
As a member for four years, I’ve placed my account on hold multiple times, not requiring a 30-day notice. However, during my most recent attempt, the manager insisted that holds could only be requested in person or via email. After reviewing my email history together, no record of the hold request was found. I provided an email confirmation proving my account was on hold, but the manager dismissed it as “impossible.”
When I noted that my signature appeared on all other forms, including my original membership form, but was missing from the hold document in question, he claimed signatures sometimes don’t print but are visible on his system. When pressed to show this, he refused.
Additionally, when I called to place my account on hold, an employee mistakenly logged it as a check-in, falsely indicating I visited the gym. The manager acknowledged the error and noted it on the printout, but the general manager, who was present, refused to co-sign for verification.
After two hours of in-person discussions during my workday, the staff finally refunded my $111. They then asked if I wanted to credit my account, to which I firmly declined. While I appreciate the concierge manager’s help and support, the general manager’s dismissive attitude and lack of leadership poorly reflect the professional image Lifetime aims to project.
These experiences highlight a consistent lack of accountability and respect for members. After four years, I’ve canceled my membership and plan to escalate these issues to corporate. I cannot recommend this gym to anyone seeking a reliable and professional fitness experience.

I was looking forward to getting some sun post workout with my children at the outdoor pool but we were not allowed to access the pool since they do not employ a guard during the Spring, limiting access to only teens over 16, yet they charge the same membership amounts year round without consideration of limitation to the amenities during this time.

Overall a really solid gym. Really spacious and has all the equipment you need. Love that there’s also a hot tub here which the Cary location lacks.
However the pickleball programming has a lot of issues that need fixing. I’m not a fan of how close the walls are to the baseline of the courts. It’s makes it pretty difficult to return against a strong server, but I don’t think anything can be done to fix that now.
They seriously need to add more DUPR mandatory sessions here. The entire schedule is just casual open plays and there’s no organized opportunities to play competitive DUPR games. I came to a couple of DUPR ratings clinics a few months ago and none of the games ever got logged which was really frustrating, and I never got an explanation why. I’m one of many people who feel the same way, so I really hope they fix that soon. It would also be nice to see more singles sessions on the lifetime app instead of just doubles.
They also need to do a better job of responding to members’ feedback. I’ve emailed lifetime numerous times to inquire about DUPR sessions and I’ve never gotten a response. If you’re not purchasing a personal training session or paying for a league or adding to their revenue, lifetime doesn’t care about you

My family and I have been coming here for years and love this gym. Not only do we love working out, and all the good equipment, but the kids academy is phenomenal as well. I’ve been taking boxing lessons with Raheem for a few months now, and he is very knowledgeable and has helped me learn a lot. Before I even started taking lessons, Raheem would often stop me and give me pointers during my workouts. He genuinely loves to help people, and I recommend him to anyone that is looking for training (both strength training, boxing, and any other courses he offers). Overall 10/10 experience!

I’ve been a member of Lifetime Fitness for five years, and it has consistently been a great experience. One of the things I love most is the check-in process at the front desk, ensuring that only members have access to the facility. The cleanliness of the locker rooms and all areas of the gym is impressive, making every visit comfortable and enjoyable. The locker rooms are well-stocked with towels and essentials, providing everything you need to freshen up—just like at home.
I also appreciate the layout of the gym, with the workout area located upstairs, offering plenty of space for members. Whether you prefer to work out in the main area or in a separate room with weights, there are great options for everyone. Another standout feature is the indoor and outdoor pools, which have ample room for members to swim and relax without feeling crowded. Lifetime Fitness truly prioritizes cleanliness, convenience, and a well-organized workout environment, which is why I continue to be a loyal member.

Been a member since this club opened, and I’ve seen our membership fees rise 70-80% in that time. I think the club’s guest policies are absurd. Apart from the fact that they seem to change monthly, the latest issues revolve around family guest passes for the holidays. Went to check my adult son in and was told if I leave the club there would be a block on my account. In my opinion this is punitive and petty.

As a nearly 2 year member at this gym, I can say for sure that I love it and has everything I'm looking for. My son and I are here 5-6x per week and my toddler son thoroughly enjoys the Kids Academy and all the staff. Staff around the gym recognize him and know him by name when he goes running to the kids area. The fitness floor is really impressive and has a huge cardio space. The reason I chose this gym though is for the classes. I can only come in the mornings (9am-1pm window) and there are SO MANY awesome classes to choose from, from yoga to dance fitness to barbell lifting. I have yet to meet an instructor that I didn't enjoy, they're all passionate about what they're doing. The studio manager, Donna, is absolutely fantastic and is a constant presence all over the facility. She always has her door open for concerns or feedback and you can tell she truly loves making Lifetime members happy. Her smiling face is a fixture here. For regulars, there is lots of opportunity to find "your people," grab coffee together in the cafe downstairs, and build community.

They do not have any proper and respectful "lost and found" policies. There policy is 'finders keepers' and tell me that other guests may have walked with it. There is no proper place to keep them. They donate everything that they find once a week. If you happen to have left something a day before their donation day, it is gone. Most unprofessional attitude and everyone says he is THE MANAGER of the facility. No cameras to follow up on thefts?

This gym has a good weight room, decent cardio selection and a good assortment of classes. Now to get to the bad
-Trainer David Nathan and his friend hog equipment daily during peak times when its not a paid training session and there's no sense of urgency in their workout/talk session. The gym has 1 smith machine and these two will hold it for well over an hour Mon, Wed, Friday.
-Roof leaks when it rains. For this price point I'd think we can patch a leak.
-Some equipment needs duplicates such as the smith machine.
-Overall the clientele at this location lack respect and gym etiquette.

Sadly I am forced to change my review from 5 to one star. In a recent visit, it was shocking how filthy the pool was, I usually go to the Cary location but decided to visit the Raleigh one and I so regret it. The pool was so disgusting that I had to get out after I took two strokes due to how filthy it was. I informed the front desk who asked me to reach out to the general manager to let him know if. Frankly, I would have expected them to reach out, but anyways. My son does go there and informed me today it’s gotten even worse. With the premium dues they charge, one would expect to keep it gym amenities clean.

As a prospective customer, I went to the front desk to see about getting a tour of the facility. The guy at the front desk lifts his head from his tablet, looking a little annoyed, no "hello", or "welcome to Lifetime", nothing. Cold vibes. Making me initiate the conversation. I told him I was interested in a tour. Still looking somewhat annoyed that am standing in front of him, gives me a tablet to fill out. I walked through the facility unattended because no one was available (which at this point was fine, I had already made my decision at this point)..............Forget it, I'll go find another club.

The gym is spectacular for starters. I am writing this review as I would like to point out the best trainer that I have ever had the fortune of working with, and his name is Will P. He has taught me so much about the industry, with his experience and expertise. I have lost 45 pounds, and I have accomplished this all because of Will. He loves what he does, and it shows. He is also laser focused when it comes to working out with his clients, and pays attention to them verses what’s going around him. I have hired so many trainers over the course of my life that I have seen many different styles of training but he is hands down the best. I have spent 7 years at Falls of the Neuse location now, and it’s the best of the locations in this market.. I can’t express what a wonderful journey this has been. While this gym is more expensive than most gyms, it’s an investment in yourself, and who better to invest in? As I always say, you can spend a lifetime in lifetime and it’s true. 😊

Was in town for a few days and wanted to play pickleball. Showed up to play twice and didn’t get to either time even though I had registered for the class on the app. The employee running pickleball was the least helpful Lifetime staff member I’ve ever encountered. She mislead me and said I could play later in the evening but there was no opportunity for me to play when I came back later in the evening. Then she said come back the next morning. When I showed up at the time she suggested, she was wrapping up playing with her friend group and no one else was there. When I asked if they were done playing she said “yes we’ve been here for three hours.” Terrible experience. It felt very unfriendly and like she was actively not wanting me to join in.

Do NOT sign up for this gym. It is not like other LifeTimes.
Firstly the “Alpha” classes take over all of the racks and a good portion of the treadmills. They are part of the signature membership…all memberships are “signature.” It’s literally the only membership you can have. So they pay no more than you but get access to so much more. Making it nearly impossible to get a rack. For instance today at 11:30 I had to deadlift in my own little spot because an Alpha class was going to use the racks. They were jump roping on them, and putting a 25 plate on the edge to hop on and off of. So 8 racks were taken up but nobody was actually LIFTING. Then one rack opened up so the coach came over to me and said “one of our trainers was working out on that rack so you can deadlift over there now if you want”
So not only are members who take these Alpha classes put above you but apparently the staff is too!
I’ve been a member at LT for 12 years in all different parts of the country. I even work for them for about 4 years in college and I’ve never been so disappointed in a facility. They’ve lost their way under this new leadership. Sad day but I’ve officially cancelled my membership and I suggest you do the same.

The gym is nice, but overly packed… BEWARE if you have parents with insurance they are getting greedy and limiting the use of the gym on certain times, that is not acceptable. They try to blame the insurance company, really the gym wants you to pay more money. The staff are friendly and nice, but how management is handling people who are elderly and not allowing to go anytime of the day is unfair treatment.

We literally love this club. It’s definitely more than a “gym” and you cannot compare to a typical gym. The amenities are amazing, including the outdoors and indoor pools and hot tubs and the kids academy is like no other. I especially recommend if you have young children or are a SAHM. If your children are potty trained they can be entertained in the kids academy for 3 hours 7 DAYS A WEEK! It’s literally the cheapest child care out there. When my kids were a little younger I would
Workout then work in the lobby for 2 hours. Definitely recommend!

Good classes and instructors, but I’m shocked at how loud they play the music during class. A few complained but nothing changed the next time.
Also, there are several thefts. They need more cameras in the gym.

Update: it's only in the evening that everything gets quite dirty. Morning crew does an amazing job!!
Updated rating: 3.6 stars

I've been coming for about 8 years now. Let me start by saying that the equipment, environment and the people you meet are all awesome, I can't imagine going anywhere else! That being said, the sanitation is sometimes questionable in the locker room, showers, sauna and steam room. towels sometimes have hairs but idk if that's avoidable. Food prices are way too crazy! It would be awesome if they added a ice bath/cold plunge and another sauna in the pool area outside the locker room. Not a lot to ask when paying $100+ for a month. Would give 5+ stars if these are addressed!

As a result of some construction work at the swimming pool, the location I normally visit was closed. Thus, I visited here with my fiancé and was greatly impressed.
There is a jacuzzi located at the women's locker room, which is very picturesque. This facility allows you to relax in a convenient and comfortable manner.
Staff was extremely friendly and helpful! The staff made me feel so welcome and I love it. 💯

My hair is completely fried from highlights your stylist did. I had completely healthy curly hair and now I have to cut off the botched job I got. I left with soaking wet hair when I paid for a style because you apparently can’t finish your job after closing time when im a paying customer. And then I had to pay for someone else to fix it again in your salon. Never received an apology and still suffering the consequences of it today. Over $200 for messed up hair, plus $125 for a membership where I was treated with zero care. Don’t worry, I cancelled it though. Beware. This place has bad reviews for a reason.

I’ve been a member here for almost 2 years now, LOVE this place. Fantastic staff and amenities. The kids academy has saved my life, my 3 kids get so excited to come to lifetime. The staff at the front desk is super nice and welcoming, Josh in particular is always nice to see. The cafe is fantastic, food is super great and the staff is amazing. Cafe managers Brittany and Nicolette, Christina, Gabe, Audrey, and Valerie are all super nice. The cafe has become our favorite restaurant, the tea promotion they do during the summer is so perfect! Love that hibiscus tea. The gym floor has lots of equipment. Love the pickle ball court. The pool has also been a fun activity for me and my family.

If you are looking for a gym with fantastic cafe, really good child care, and an amazing indoor/outdoor pool this is the spot! If you want a gym with enough weights/machines, and large work out space then this is not the place for you... For a building that big it is disappointing how small the space is for working out. Plus the amenities in the women's locker room were broken or unavailable most of the time.

Nice facilities but gets very busy.
Assume this place doesn’t have a basketball court. The one in the picture on Google isn’t even there anymore because they turned it into pickle ball. The single court that’s left is either packed or everyone is kicked out for their daycare thing. Just warning for people wanting a court cause it’s a gamble.

I’ve been a member for over 4 years, and last week I left my stuff over the counter in the ladies bathroom and when I came back to get it, someone stole my sunglasses. It is a shame that people would do that in a club where the membership is not cheap, and it feels worse walking around knowing that there is a women, a thief walking a around maybe someone you see everyday.
That’s messed up!!!!!!!
If you come here don’t leave your stuff unattended!!!!

Big gym with coaching and classes, much for an extra price. Has pool, extra price. A lot more expensive than Planet Fitness, cheaper than others.
For your buck and just working out, I much prefer Planet Fitness. Life Time offers many more bells and whistles -much at additional costs.
If money is no object, or you want the bells and whistles, Life Time is a good choice.

Was looking to rejoin after a while of not able to work out. Was very unhappy to find out it was now 50% pricier than the overpriced monthly due they had before.
At $150 a month ($1800 yearly + fees) I’ll take my business elsewhere.
Overpriced.
Gave it 2 stars as the club is nice if you’re using everything, but the price is a no go for me.
Get a tiered subscription with lower premiums, for people who don’t use everything and still want to go with getting a gym-loan.

I would have given the gym 5 stars before my and about 5 other cars had their windows smashed and personal belongings taken on New Year's Day. I was aware of a problem a few years ago. Guess it's back. And yes, my bad for attempting to hide my purse under the seat, but it's a sad day when this many cars can be damaged and vandalized in broad daylight in the front row of the parking lot (closest to the club). Police tell me the security cameras only aim at the entrances off Falls of Neuse. How lame is that? For what we all pay to be members, I would think there would be a more sophisticated security system. I emailed management and have receive NO response, which is indefensible. I am out $1000 for my deductible on car damage, and stolen personal items. Is the club waiting until there is an assault in their parking lot before they take stronger action? BTW, I have been a member for 5.5 years now and take advantage of the gym, the spa, and the cafe. Perhaps they really just don't care if they lose my business.

Like every other gym only costs twice as much. Opened late multiple times, never clean when you get in, no enforcement of gym rules/etiquette. Granted people should pick up after themselves and not be freaks but part of owning a business anymore is managing the general public so everyone can enjoy but apparently the money I pay for my membership isn’t as good as others…
Edit: down to 1 star due to it getting worse after my original review. The facility has smelled of sewage (like violently hits you in the face when you first walk in) for the last month and the music is soooo loud you can’t even think. I asked if they could turn it down but the music is controlled by corporate? (it’s not just 1 song that’s loud, no they have 3 different songs blasting at different areas so they all over lap) Even blasting my own headphones doesn’t work. I don’t know that the hours or equipment are enough to justify putting up with this anymore.

They really just turned a basketball court into a badminton facility smh. It be 20 people over there for 3 hours out the day. They also stopped allowing duffle bags(which holds your basketballs) in the gym. My opinion I feel like the main reason they made those changes is because it effects majority black men. So who cares. The basketball courts were a big selling point for me. Everything else in the gym is at most other gyms for a 1/5 of the price. Spoke to other people who introduced me to the gym and they are unhappy as well.

I have mixed feelings about this gym. At the surface level, it's a luxury, resort like gym with beautiful pools. They have a number of great classes and a number of machines. I especially loved the aqua and yoga classes. The locker room is pretty and the smoothies are yummy. However, the steam room was never working while I was a member. They had Covid measures in place. However, I was only working from home and going to this gym and ended up catching pneumonia. There's no other reasonable place I could have caught pneumonia, despite wiping down equipment before and after workouts and bringing my own mat to yoga. The personal trainers also came off as being a bit pushy and judgy at times. This may have been due to them having a quota to sell a certain amount, since they felt the included classes and equipment weren't enough to meet my simple goals of exercising and moving more

Got a membership just to play basketball. It’s only one basketball court and they decide to have a birthday party on the only basketball court. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! If I wanted to deal with kids birthday party’s & other events on the basketball court I would have stayed a ymca member! Planet fitness is 10$ a month the ymca is 30$ a month. So I won’t b renewing my membership waste of money.

Blatant discrimination going on at this location. 4 guest playing basketball (myself included) were kicked off the basketball courts at 12:30pm on a Friday (August 19th) and were told that basketball is no longer offered during the hours of 8AM-6PM weekly because of "kids camp"... WHAT? But now pickle ball is offered from open to close with special reservations with the "Signature Membership"? Think of the people who play pickle ball and who play basketball... also, mind you, there were two people playing pickle ball on the whole other side of the court when we were kicked off. This gym has done nothing but go down hill.

I enjoy Lifetime and have had a great experience here, but there is a high level of turnover among trainers. I suspect they are not getting a good percentage of the PT fees being charged or something else is amiss. While I do like it here, I may find it hard to continue giving them my money if they can charge high tier fees which appear to be of little benefit to their staff.
