Amazing and ideal swim school for babies 6 month and up! The staff is very nice and friendly as well as the teachers! My son loves swimming very much! Thankful for the swim class being available on the weekend.
Been going for a year now and love the experience for my son. Hoping to get my daughter into swim classes as well when we can afford it.

Edit: Still a great swim school. My son is now 3 and still enjoys his classes. The staff and teachers are great and very patient.

We had a great first experience at little otter swim school. Love having the app to sign up for classes. Check in for our first lesson was easy, we were then greeted by an amazing staff. We were shown around the facilities and she explained everything we needed to know. Ms. Shelly was our teacher and she did a great job with our son. It was his first time so she explained everything as we went along. Love how they play games n sing in the water 🥰 the littles seem to love it as well. We’re excited to make this our new swim home!!

Little Otter has always been an amazing teaching facility with great teachers and staff! This would be a 5 star if cleanliness was on par with everything else. I know when dealing with kids and some adults, it's hard. However, crumbs and paper in the sitting area and inside the pool area should be addresses daily. Our class is one of the first of the day so this means nothing was addressed the previous night at closing. And this is consistent each time we arrive. With that said, again the classes are well taught with great teacher. We've been here for over 10+ years, so we have some idea of how the facilities to be kept.

We’ve been attending for over 4 years and I’d have to say this place is run like a well oiled machine! The owners are really sweet and love kids and you can tell the instructors love working there. In 4 years I’ve very rarely ever seen a new instructor (these people want to stay here, and low turnover is a great sign). They do raise their prices frequently, but that’s necessary to keep the best instructors and to keep up with inflation I’m sure. Our favorite instructors have been Miss Jayne and Miss Queen!

I do have to say I wish the class was a bit longer for the 3-5 year olds. When it’s 30 minutes and there’s 3 kids, your kid really is only getting 10 minutes of swim time since they spend the rest of it on the wall. I understand there are concerns about safety, but because these kids have swam well enough to even make it to this level, I feel like there’s a better way to ensure each kid gets enough time (these kids KNOW how to swim, my kid in particular jumps off 10 foot high dives and swims back to the edge of the pool no problem, she doesn’t need to be sitting on a wall for 20 minutes of class).

Important to note, they do offer private classes at a higher price point, but for regular classes I don’t feel as though they progress quickly enough.

My only real gripe is the smell and humidity issue in the locker rooms. I’m not sure if children urinate on the floor or if parents are throwing diapers in the trash and the smell is eminating from that but the entire room always smells like urine and the humidity makes it so much worse. It also makes it VERY difficult to dress your child when they’re soaking wet after class. Everything sticks.

Other than that, this swim school beats out YMCA by a landslide. It’s very structured and they know what they’re doing but if you want to fast track your kid I’d recommend taking private classes and practicing at home.

My son attended this swim school, at first he was enjoying it until we started to have problems with an instructor, after we told the manager a few instructors started being impatient and being aggressive with him. The manager didn’t care at all even though we have video evidence. Slamming his legs into the water to the point it was hard for him to walk right after and being told to listen , when he clearly had water up his nose and inside his goggles and was trying to fix it cause he couldn’t breath or see. In the pic, he is facing the water and the teacher stretched his leg so far back. He’s been swimming there since June was taught to not kick high and this teacher was so aggressive and caused damage.

Could not be more pleased! Both of my kids have recently registered at Little Otter and it has been an amazing experience. The front desk staff was so sweet and helped us through the whole sign-up process. On our first day they were there every step of the way and gave us a full tour. The facility was very colorful and hygienic. The only complaint I have was it was so fun my kids fell apart when it was time to leave. You can tell all of the staff genuinely love their jobs. I was very nervous about putting my kids in swimming after having a previous bad experience but if you’re thinking about it DO IT. 10/10

The receptionist Alicia is extremely rude . I believe that was her name . She did not know the information that was on the website regarding the swimming classes . She said they do not have any beginner classes which is inaccurate. I would never allow my kids to go to this place .

Since day one, my 3.5 year old has been thriving here! All of the swim instructors are great, but in particular, Ms. Gloria is wonderful! I would highly recommend this swim school to anyone looking for a great place to take their little to learn safe swim practices!

We are going on month 3 of classes and could not be more proud! My little girl, since starting swim classes has been more confident in doing things and she FINALLY started crawling. I could not be more pleased with the staff. We are always greeted as soon as we come into the facility. Her teacher Miss. Maci is just wonderful and I love how she interacts and is hands on with the babies and keeps them focused during class. We love our Wednesday swim classes!! And cannot thank Miss. Maci enough for all she has done for our daughter :) Maybe we'll have an Olympic swimmer one day lol

We have taken our son to Little Otters for about 4 months (since he was about 10 months old and we have seen a great deal of confidence and strength in his water capabilities. I find the pricing fair and their make-up policy is very flexible. Special shout out to Ms. Shannon and her positivity.

We have been going here for the past 5 years...(my kids are 11 months and 7 years old) It isn't the fastest way to learn how to swim lol but it is great for kids to slowly build skills and socialize with others.

My 7 year old has been jumping in the deep end by himself since he was 3 years old with no problem and that is thanks to little otter swim. For babies it is a great bonding experience with parents... I wasn't in a rush for each "skill" to get mastered, we really go just because it is fun...

Really like bringing my son to his swim classes. He enjoys the time in the pool. I like that the classes are very interactive and keep him involved for the whole 30 mins. Highly recommended. Keep in mind that at early ages babies are learning more safety skills than actual swimming.

Do not go here! The front desk staff is super unfriendly and the teacher during the assessment nearly drowned my daughter. My daughter was so upset that she is now afraid to go back in the water! We been to other swim schools before and never have I seen this! These are kids and swimming is suppose to be fun not terrifying.

This school is very clean and kids friendly. Teacher knew how to handle little kids and was able to help my son learn some new tricks the first day itself. My son loved the first class and asking when can we go again. Definitely recommend it.

This has been such a great school for my daughter to continue her swim lessons even through the winter. She loves swimming and thoroughly enjoys her classes and her teachers. We feel like they do a lot of lessons and technique so that the students learn the correct way to swim. The facility is very clean and well organized and the staff are super friendly and happy to help with anything. I highly recommend them to everyone.

Ms. Lindsey is absolutely AMAZING! After moving up classes, my son suffered a setback and became fearful of going under water. We were on the verge of giving up lessons completely. Ms. Lindsey got in the water with him one-on-one and found a way to rebuild his confidence. She is kind, patient and our life saver. Thanks Ms. Lindsey!

We love this place. They're always so kind. We finally just got back in since they first closed in March and I liked the changes I saw for covid as far as chairs set apart from each other, masks inside, and pretty much every class was 1:1. Technically supposed to be two students per teacher but I'm guessing many didn't show. Either way still a great ratio. My 5yo had the absolute best transition back in and looked completely comfortable with everything her instructor had her do, new and old things. My 2yo was admittedly much more hesitant and clung to me like crazy, which she hasn't done since starting at 6mo old! But understandable after such a long break. She still had an amazing time and cried when we had to leave, so i know she will be relaxed again very soon.

We are very new to Little Otters Swim School, heard nothing but great things and my children love their swim instructor. We've had some hiccups along with way with some miscommunication but they did work with me to correct the miscommunication. Friendly staff, clean facilities and instructors are great with the children. Especially those that may initially be shy!

After 5 months at little otter I took my daughter out after she was in the first level “starfish” and they wouldn’t move her up. I told them she was completely swimming on her own (meaning on top of the water, face in, kicking and using her big ice cream scoop arms). I told them she swam two lap lanes over to the stairs in our pool. They didn’t seem to care at all and told me she was only holding her breath for them for 6 seconds from the platform to the wall and it needed to be 10 seconds in order for her to move up. I said well then the platform needs to be moved back because there’s no where else to go but come up since she’s at the wall. They still suggested we reevaluate things in a couple of weeks. I called the next day and pulled her out. Feel like they definitely do not care about the progress of the child and are just money hungry. Don’t waste your money and find a private teacher instead.

Little otters has a very set curriculum, which is great if you start here. However, our boys (age 3) took private lessons over the summer before starting at little otters; during that time, they learned to kick and swim short distances with their head/face in the water. When we signed up for the 3 year old class, our boys were instructed to no longer kick to propel themselves. They were also discouraged from putting their faces in the water when swimming from one place to another. I informed the manager on duty that this was actually hindering what they had learned previously, and she said they would evaluate them. After a month, they were never evaluated and never moved to another class. Complete waste of money compared to the previous lessons (which actually cost less than little otters too). While the staff/instructors are very nice and great with the kids, I believe that this program would be better suited for a child that has had 0 experience with water, or needs a particularly slow start.

TLDR: Slow progression, not cost effective

My son is breezing through these classes so well, I attribute that to their teaching style. He absolutely loves music and they do singing for well over half the class. The singing is not hard to remember either, or annoying, which is great for me. We have Sabrina as our teacher and she is a huge asset to this company! She really pays attention to all of the students to watch for their grasp of skills. Then she offers advice for how to help them understand better on an individual basis based on their needs and how they learn. She also encourages the parents to get to know one another considering we see each other for 30 minutes every week. The facility is always clean and the pools are always warm. This school is absolutely a 100 in my book!

Overall a good experience. Clean, nice facility. Good, friendly instruction, my kids enjoyed their classes. I did cancel due the fact that I got tired of sitting on waiting lists for the appropriate class. I probably would consider private lessons so my kids can get the proper instruction at thier skill level.
