Madabolic in Elizabeth is hands down the best place for serious group fitness in Charlotte! The energy here is unmatched, and the workouts are designed to push you to your limits in the best way possible.
I have to give a special shoutout to Jay, one of the trainers, who is absolutely incredible. His classes are always high-energy, and he has a way of motivating you to give it your all. What really sets Jay apart is his attention to detail—he provides careful instruction to ensure your form is perfect, which not only helps you get the most out of the workout but also keeps you safe from injury.
If you're looking for a fitness community that’s serious about results and has top trainers like Jay, Madabolic in Elizabeth is the place to be. Highly recommend!

This place is amazing. The coaches here know your capabilities and push you to do your best! Been here almost a year and I’ve seen so much improvement in my stability and strength. MADabolic has truly become one of my favorite parts of the day. The workouts are incredibly well-structured, the people are amazing, and the energy in the studio is always on point. Living in the neighborhood, it’s given me an even greater sense of community. And, I’ve never felt stronger! As I approach 40 this year, that’s exactly the kind of goal I’ve been working toward. I was so nervous my first class.. but Carol and the MAD coaches welcomed me in and made me feel like I was at home! From the very first class I fell in love with the program, the class layout, the community and the atmosphere. Even as a beginner I feel myself getting stronger every week!

Hands down the best place to workout. The culture, programming, coaching, music, locations, and equipment are better than anywhere else. I just recently rejoined after a 4 year break and it’s even better than I remembered. They’ve made it so easy to transition back to a routine after having two babies really close together—if I had realized how much support and understanding there would be for my postpartum return to fitness journey, I would have rejoined much sooner. If you’re serious about fitness then you will find success and support at Mad no matter where you’re starting your journey from. Highly recommend!

I’ve tried and ultimately quit plenty of workout classes and gyms in the past. I knew I wanted to get healthier but really struggled with finding a program that worked for me. My wife got me to come to a MAD class with her, and I was hooked from the jump.
All the trainers are really personable and quick to help if you are struggling with getting your form down. All the members seem laid back and it feels like a really non-judgmental, welcoming environment. I really can’t recommend the program enough! It is 100% worth the investment.

I attended the MADABOLIC GYM, and I must say it exceeded my expectations! The energy in the room was contagious, and the instructor Alex was incredibly motivating. Alex provided clear instructions and offered modifications for different fitness levels, making it accessible for everyone.
The atmosphere was welcoming, and I felt encouraged by both the instructor and fellow participants

Just passed my 25 class mark, and this gym hits different. I was a regular at another HIIT gym in town and tried out MADabolic on a whim. Four things that keep me coming back: (1) The coaches are actually coaching and not posting Instagram reels. You will need it - the weights are heavy with a lot of overhead lifting and athletic moves. (2) The heavy bag is AWESOME for relieving stress - my arms, back, shoulders have never been stronger. (3) The heavy weights are always out - not collecting dust on the racks. Putting them on the floor provides that extra psychological motivation for the group to work harder. (4) The exercises are athletic (Turkish tripods!). While it might seem like doing 5 exercises is not enough, I'm amazed at the full body workout every time. My apple watch reports that I'm consistently 100+ calories burned over my prior HIIT gym. Great workout!

I have absolutely loved MAD since joining in 2022. The trainers are incredibly knowledgeable and welcoming and the way they've programmed their training has helped me add a ton of strength. The variety of workouts and various lifts across the 5 stations keep it super interesting and I enjoy the balance of cardio, calisthenics, kettlebells, dumbbells, and of course the punching bag.
I would recommend MAD to everyone - no matter where you are on your fitness journey (novice, intermediate, advanced, expert), you have a place here and will be encouraged to continue to better yourself.
Side notes - the gym is always super clean, the sound system and music is always bumping, and having access to three gyms around the city (Elizabeth, NoDa, & South End) is super convenient. 10/10 gym in CLT!

I tried about 15 different gyms in Charlotte through class pass and ended up committing to MADabolic because it was hands down my favorite. The trainers are the absolute best, so nice and super helpful, always have good advice, and seem genuinely happy to be there. They’re also not aggressive or overly pushy, but encourage you to do your best. The classes are structured in a way that makes them go by quickly while still getting in such a good workout. I love that they’re all so different and I never get bored. I used to always dread exercising, but MAD actually makes working out enjoyable! 10000% recommend.

This is such a great gym. I stared going there on class pass, and kept coming back - finally I gave in and joined. The people, trainers, and workouts are top notch. I love that the workouts are challenging but not overly long.
The trainers are good about correcting your form and allowing you to select the weight that you feel comfortable with.

I absolutely love this place from the community, class structure and diversity. I can’t praise it enough for its excellence. The trainers are exceptional in every way, from their warm welcomes to their dedication to helping each member. They are also very knowledgeable, engaged, and focused on form/correct movement. Everyone there genuinely cares about every members progress and well-being. The workouts are not only effective but also incredibly fun, making the challenging exercises enjoyable.
The classes are different enough that I never know what exactly we will do, but sufficiently consistent that I have an idea of what to expect. It’s a great community to be a part of!

During my trip to Charlotte, I was able to stop in and take Darius's class at the Elizabeth location. Darius was a great trainer- he was motivating and kind-even taking the time to check in with me during the class and see how I was doing. The location was a short walk from my airbnb which made it super convenient for an early morning class! The gym is clean and well maintained. Highly recommend- you won't get a better workout anywhere else!

Started going to classes during their New Year's promo. Although all the equipment and techniques seem intimidating, it's really easy to start. All the trainers are great! They give you clear instructions, and are careful to make sure you perform at your best without injuring yourself. Each day has been different enough to keep things exciting, and work each muscle so you always get a full body workout. Great experience!

I really liked this workout! They had a New Years promo going on that I took advantage of for a month and enjoyed it. This workout definitely is targeted at athletes. While they likely welcome all levels, I would not start here if you’re just starting your fitness journey. These classes made me feel very empowered and like a bada** with all the boxing incorporated into the workout. If you have a passion to get in shape, feel empowered, and really want to invest in it, I would recommend this place. 4 stars just due to the high price point.

WOW! What an amazing workout! Holly immediately greeted me and gave me a FULL rundown as soon as I came into the studio. I just happened to come on an A day (very challenging) but Holly explained everything and encouraged me the ENTIRE time, she also corrected form and made sure we were all safe. I will say this workout was intense, like very intense, but the entire group felt so energized and into it, the community was amazing. Anyone who is serious about upping their workout, please check out Holly and MADabolic. I am so glad I stopped in for a workout and I can't wait to workout there again! (Maybe not an A day :))

The trainers at madabolic are wonderful! They provide great instruction with each exercise and provide individual guidance and support to prevent injury. You work at your own fitness level without feeling pressured or unsafe. You can modify exercises if needed. You feel like you have your own personal trainer.

Everyone is so friendly! My first time, I was greeted right away and they walked me through all the specifics. The trainer, Chloe, took her time to explain the process and answered all of my questions. I liked how well she explained the exercises at the beginning of the class and she paid close attention to form throughout each interval. I can't wait to keep going back!

Madabolic is the best fitness program I've ever subscribed to. They do everything right: awesome programming, attentive coaches, a focus on proper and safe movement, a convenient mix of class times, and a clean facility. I only wish they had more locations because the 30 min drive from Matthews prevents me from being able to go other than on the weekend!
