I think the programs here are great. I have a neurodegenerative disease with almost no function in either arm or hand, but I am able to take advantage of the personal training program to keep my lower body and core in pretty good shape and my trainer has put together a personalized program for me. This followed a three session introduction. I haven't yet taken advantage of the pool, but hope to at some point.

Have done and continue to use this location for some of everything.

My kiddo has done the summer day camp here for years, since she was old enough, and will continue this year. This is an excellent program and the price for it weekly, coupled with the activities provided, makes for an excellent value relative to other summer options. Never mind that she loves it.

We did swimming lessons here for several years and benefitted greatly from it. Progress was quick. Ragsdale YMCA is a great option for learning swim techniques, water safety, etc. My concerns as a parent with the aforementioned were met.

Have used for youth sports (soccer) for a few seasons now and am happy with the exposure to the game and the atmosphere of it all. Organized.

Continues to be an excellent institution and look forward to many more years of use.

I like that the pool is a large enough space for swimmers of all levels to enjoy the water.I like that our Aquatics Director, Justine is able to access resources that allow multi level classes to be offered at little or no cost to families. I like the clean environment on the deck and in the locker areas. I like that equipment is out in the open and readily available for use.I like that the life guards are alert and attentive to the swimmers.

Liked the gym and that my toddler could use kid care . I was disappointed that my 11 year old couldn’t attend and that I had to have her sit in the gym while I did my routine on days when she didn’t have school. I was willing to overlook that . UNTIL my debit card got

I finally got myself back to the gym, dropped my toddler in kidcare and realized that I forgot something in my car . I return and have to scam back in . The lady was not at the desk when I originally scanned in so I wasn’t aware of any issue. When I tried to scan back in she stopped me and told me that my account was frozen for non payment. I was super confused bc it was direct deposit and I hadn’t been notified of any issue ! They let me get two months behind without telling me a thing so i could fix it . While the youth swim instructors are caring, the pool rules are draconian. After my child’s last swim lesson I was informed she was falling behind her peers. We made plans all week to practice extra today after her lesson. While we practiced I was informed she was not allowed to wear a swim vest while practicing with me (the only parent in the pool!) despite being equipped with floaters during her lesson. How is my child supposed to develop her swimming skills if we cant practice the same way she is learning? I decided to discuss this with the management.

They said this rule is because parents would leave their kids alone in the pool with floaters by themselves. So no one can have floaters. Keep in mind the rules are clear that an adult must be within arms reach of their child at all times. So despite obviously leaving your child alone with floaters in the pool is against the rules, no one can use them.

As a family that takes swim safety seriously, I am beyond disappointed as this was our only way to practice swimming off season. Obviously Instead of being punished for other parent’s inattentiveness, I will be canceling our family’s membership.

It's my favorite place to workout. Its our children favorite place to take taekwondo lessons. I've encountered nothing but nice and kind people. When we left to go to Cali during Covid for work, we came back to an upgraded Y years later. I love all the cool activities for all types of ages. So glad to be home. Let's start with the people! Ms. Pam is the Member Coordinator and is the sweetest. I know she sees hundreds of people a day, and you would think that ya'll have been knowing each other for years. My fellow members are so friendly. Even early in the morning. The smiles and the good mornings are plentiful. The facility is clean and inviting. I feel super safe. I am excited that I choose this YMCA.

I had a very disappointing experience with the lifeguard staff at the Ragsdale YMCA. My 7-year-old son and 9-year-old daughter took the swim test, which they’ve passed at multiple other YMCAs without issue. This time, despite my son clearly passing the test, he was failed with no explanation from the staff. When I asked for clarification, they couldn’t provide a valid reason and told me he’d have to wait two weeks to retake it. The situation felt unfair and even targeted, which is deeply frustrating since we came to this Y specifically for swimming. This experience has left a bad impression, and I hope the staff improves their communication and fairness.

My afternoon aquatics class has been together for 8 plus years so I see them more often than my own family Feel COVID safe and they always spray off the water equipment afterwards. Often Justine changes up our routine with other instructors and music and the routine as well. I feel I get great range of motion plus cardio even in the water. Guess that is why I keep attending. I had great day at the Rags YMCA. I needed to practice my basketball skills before March madness 2025 ladies challenge TBD. Justin is awesome. She always work hard. I love all the staff at this YMCA. Abigail, Bridget and Ahna are excellent as well. They helped my son Shiv lot to start the swimming. Very nice facility and definitely a local hangout. It was packed on Saturday afternoon. There were three different age groups playing basketball with dozens of fans for each one. The enormous pool was also crowded. I was there for a Tai Chi workshop and the two rooms we were in were huge and very nice.

I love the summer camp and how supportive they are of my kids. The fact that my son wants me to pick up later each day means so much. I never have to drag him to camp like I have had to in the past with other programs. I drive 30 minutes to come each week because my kids love it so much. Thanks, team for supporting my kids and giving hugs and kudos. My daughter is so happy she was camper of the week. She said she tried so hard and crossed her fingers so hard and she got it! I've been a member of the Ragsdale Y for about two years. I only use the fitness center and find it to be the best in the area. The exercise equipment is the latest and is upgraded as new and improved equipment becomes available. The facility is always clean, bright and with a welcoming atmosphere. Lastly, the staff is friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable.

We LOVE our YMCA staff! The after school care is amazing. My girls dislike leaving to come home every day. The counselors are the best, and really bring out the best in my girls. Summer camp is a BLAST! Taekwondo is teaching discipline, and Masters Williams and George actually, REALLY care about my kids. Everyone at the Mary Perry Ragsdale YMCA actually CARES about my girls. They go above and beyond everytime there is an issue, or to help me figure things out if I am confused. It's such a breath of fresh air to have people genuinely happy to see you and your children, and actively take a role in forming them into amazing adults.

I used to come to this YMCA alot in the past when my daughter was active in swimming. My daughter is active in a sport now and the customer service at the front desk is very poor. When I was trying to find out information about my daughter's sport's activity nobody knew anything and did a poor job finding out for me. I wanted to try another YMCA yet my daughter said I really like this one so we tried another option. Customer service is very important to me especially when I come in for business.

The aquatics opportunities at Ragsdale YMCA our vast and run in a most professional manner, by Aquatics Director, Ms Justine. The cleanliness of the facility is impeccable and remains the choice of several schools and clubs at competitive levels. The social distancing set up is one designed following strictly the ever-changing necessary protocol. I have personally been involved in senior programs, young children swim classes and private swim lessons for my grandson. Choices made by Ms. Justine and her staff truly are always in the best interest of the child. I feel blessed to be a part of the Ragsdale Aquatics Center. I like the Ragsdale YMCA’s promotion of holistic well-being for the entire community. My family has enjoyed youth sports and camps, exercise facilities (the pool, weight room, basketball courts, and track), and adult exercise classes. Great spot for hoops. Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30 am there's a group of older guys that play. Sunday's between 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm there's usually a few people there, enough to run 5's at least for a couple of hours. The talent varies but overall solid. Courts just got redone so the grip is crazy, only two to three rims where the nets need changing. Membership is only $37 which is clutch. Pool is nice, weight room is nice, and the staff is very friendly.

Our family LOVES the Ragsdale Y. Swim lessons, group fitness, the track and the play center for young kids have been the highlights for us. My 4 year old asks constantly when we can go to the YMCA next.
