Jess and Daniela are badass teachers and I love their classes! I go particularly for post-bouldering rehab and core work and both of them leave me a well-worked puddle on the floor, rather than the random flailing of many non-Midtown studios.

Hands down my favorite hot yoga studio I have ever been to. My favorite instructors are Daniella and Jess and I try to make as many of their classes as I can. It’s clear both of them take their practice seriously and it’s passed on to all of us. As someone who travels for work and has been to a lot of studios, this one doesn’t even compare. The flows are always fresh and challenging, the instructors are talented and so friendly, and I’ve progressed in my practice exponentially. I absolutely love this studio and would highly recommend taking classes here.

I have been a member at Midtown for the past two years and have loved every second of it! While the classes are relatively difficult (especially as a newbie which I was when I joined), the instructors are all more than happy to prove pointers. The studio has a close-knit community type feel that other studios I’ve attended don’t have. Since joining, I’ve really enjoyed attending Brooke, Daniela and Jess’s classes. Their flows are all incredibly challenging, dynamic and nothing but great vibes. Overall would highly recommend this studio!

The lobby is adorable and I love the dark room. I would recommend a mic for the instructors, if you could hear the instructor, you could hardly hear the music and vice versa. I prefer a vinyasa class and couldn’t quite seem to find that here. The last thing I’ll note is that the instructors leave you in Savasana and I’d never experienced that before. All in all, is a good place, just not for me.

I’ve done hot yoga at Midtown a couple dozen times in the past year. The instructors are super friendly and there is a nice sense of community in the studio. It’s a judgement free environment which is good because the actual practice can be challenging. Providing equipment like mats, towels, props, and cooling lavender towels is a nice touch
The biggest complaint I have is that the classes can get absolutely packed. It’s not enjoyable when there are so many people in the class that you can’t fully move around. I don’t think anybody is turned away if they are on the waitlist, but I think even the full class without the wait list is too many people. Just my opinion but I think the class capacity should be smaller

Coral is an amazing instructor! Her strength training classes get my heart going and I burn more calories than I typically do at other classes that are similar in style. Yay! I love how she sets the tone in the class with her patient but energetic voice.

I’ve been a member at Midtown Yoga for 5 years, and I never get tired of it. The staff are as welcoming as the place is clean and inviting. They make it so easy to walk in, check in, grab a mat, and find a spot in the studio. Each instructor shows up eager to guide our flow. Midtown structures each class with both familiarity and newness. Even after 5 years I still come across new moves or positions. Everything is clean and well-stocked, and they even have a weekly happy hour! Would give 6 stars if possible.

I’ve been part of this yoga community since moving to Raleigh two years ago, and it has truly been one of the most meaningful parts of my life here. The atmosphere is always so uplifting and positive—no matter what kind of day I’m having, I leave class feeling stronger, lighter, and more grounded.
Over time, I’ve come to know many of the instructors, and every single one of them is kind, encouraging, and dedicated to creating an inclusive space. You can really tell they care about their students, both on and off the mat.
I’ve loved exploring the variety of classes the studio offers, but MY Strength has become one of my favorites. It’s a great blend of movement, mindfulness, and challenge, and always leaves me feeling energized.
I’m so grateful to have found this studio and community. Whether you’re new to yoga or looking for something that challenges you both mentally and physically, this is the place.

I’ve been a member of Midtown Yoga for 6mo and I’m so glad to be a part of this community! The teachers are passionate about bringing yoga to the community, they’re warm and inviting and there’s an all around great vibe. I try to take classes from different teachers and they’ve all been really thoughtful about their flows and structure to the class. I’ve been practicing yoga for 10 years or so and theres room for challenging stuff but also bring me back to strengthen my fundamentals. The place is super clean, bathrooms and showers stocked with soap, shampoo, conditioner, and anything else you might need. I do the 4 classes per month membership which is really affordable compared to other studios in the area.

I highly recommend Midtown Yoga! I took my first ever yoga class at Midtown with Sam and did the monthly pre/postnatal class. This is my second pregnancy and I’ve been trying to find ways to stretch and be more mindful about taking care of my growing body. I signed up for the class not knowing what to expect and it was really better than I could have imagined. It was not strenuous at all but there was a focus on relaxation and stretching and that’s exactly what I needed. There was a point during the class that I found myself tearing up because it felt so good to just relax and take an hour for myself. It was a very healing experience and Sam did a great job making everyone feel like they were exactly where they belong. I wish this was a 6 week series or weekly series because I’d be there every week. I did sign up for another local prenatal yoga class and it didn’t even come close to the one Midtown offers. I was 1,000% recommend and hopefully will be able to enjoy a hot yoga class after I have this baby.

My first visit to MY was as a guest. I had taken hot yoga years ago and knew I loved it but wasn’t looking to add any commitments to my busy schedule. I started with a 10 day unlimited pass and hoped I could start a new routine just once a week. My second class was Hot Flow with Macey and her instruction, strong voice and energy got me hooked! I was committed to this weekly class!! After a short time, weekly became twice a week so I decided to save $$ on drop in fees and get an unlimited membership! Fast forward 18 months and I am regularly in the studio 4-5 classes a week!!! Midtown Yoga is everything I didn’t know I needed. The instructors are encouraging, approachable and make the effort to know everyone by name and even ask about our non-yoga lives. It is my “can’t miss” hour and my truest self care. And every week, my practice is exactly that. A practice. I’m not the most flexible. Sometimes my balance is not in the studio with me. But I always leave knowing that was the best way to spend my hour!

I have finally found my new permanent yoga studio!!!
Teachers are great and the practice never gets routine. They switch the flow sequence every couple of weeks. It will never get boring or uninspiring. I have practiced yoga on and off for several years and coming here for last couple months has improved my practice considerably.
The studio offers strength classes everyday. Hot yoga is for all levels. There is something for everyone ( thank you Daniella for that 1 Bollywood song 💃) !! If you are in the area, try Midtown yoga. You'll be so thrilled that you did.

This studio is pretty good, the staff are very friendly and they offer a lot of classes, a welcome relief for us who cant attend a morning flow. The heat is amazing, I sweated really hard a detoxed a lot in some of the classes.
I didn't join because the member price point is high and the flows are very uncreative. The instructors cue the same poses over, and over, and OVER again. I think adding 8 angle, arm balances, and inversions would be great.

I would have appreciated if they did a better job explaining all my options back when I purchased a gift card from them. I was told I don’t need any sort of notice when canceling my membership. I’ve already thrown 500 dollars away and barely come into this studio. Ive tried to cancel my membership multiple times and they have the audacity to tell me I’m going to be charged for the month of April because there is a 30 day grace period.. I have given a grace period. I emailed them yesterday to have it in writing since a phone call clearly doesn’t work, they charged my card today.. the day after I formally put it in writing. It is not even the first of the month which tells me these people are crooks.

I love Midtown Yoga and I’m so thankful to have it (and Hannah) here in Raleigh. I’ve had nothing but good experiences!

I moved to Raleigh from the long lost land of Cleveland Ohio. I knew three people when I got here. Through my time at Midtown I found a family. I have never been surrounded by a better group of people and have felt a better sense of community. They took me in like a stray dog. I look forward to coming in every day. Can’t express the gratitude I have for this place.

Where do I even begin? Midtown Yoga has changed my life. The practice, the people (both teachers and students), the events, everything about this place has been extremely positive. I tried crossfit for 6 months before joining and I was always in pain, struggling to get through every day without being negative about something. I loved the people at crossfit but the workouts were just brutal and they broke my body down in ways it couldn’t recover from in time to do more than 2-3 workouts a week. In fact, the best thing that ever happened at crossfit was that I met one of the Midtown Yoga teachers there and she talked me into coming in for a class – “You should try hot yoga, you’ll love it.” After that first class I was hooked. The hot flow classes have provided incredible improvements in my daily life and in my performance while racing my rally car. Spending up to 75 minutes at a time several days a week exercising in a hot room is the perfect way to prep your body for being in and out of a hot race car most of the day for 2-3 days at a time. I used to become mentally and physically exhausted and lose focus at some point but now I’m solidly focused through the whole race and I don’t care about the heat. The flow movements have affected my balance, flexibility, strength and endurance in ways that no other exercise regimen has ever come close to. And my mental/emotional well-being has benefited from the unwind and nidra classes and really helped me connect to who I was before life changed me. I always look forward to going to class and I look forward to more personal growth as a result of joining. I would say I wish I had started practicing yoga years ago, but I’m glad I didn’t because then I might not be practicing here. I can never thank you enough, Hannah. Namaste.

The equipment is kept in excellent condition. The instructors are kind, passionate, and talented. It's been an extraordinary experience so far. I highly recommend this location for anyone looking for a place practice hot yoga.

Love this place! I've been a member for 3 years and, as someone who was completely new to yoga, I felt welcome from day one. The teachers at midtown are attentive, getting to know the students by name and offering constant encouragement throughout class. I love the variety of classes and the music!

I went to the studio during a recent work trip. They have a good intro special where you pay a flat fee and can take as many classes as you want for a set time period. The studio is really cute, the hot room has these colored lights which give it an interesting vibe. I was only able to make it to the hot flow classes, they were ok. Each yoga class is different and for me hot flow was good but I prefer to hold postures just a beat more to really get an opportunity to feel the stretch. I found this flow to be quite repetitive. That’s not a dig at the instructors, just different than the yoga I typically practice. I was grateful for the heat during my travels. The staff was friendly. They offer you plenty of towels, mats, you can fill up your water bottle, they have retail and outdoor classes which is nice. I’d go to the studio again.

The studio itself is adorable and in a great location! With the previous owner, Emily, I would give 5 stars. Since she left, the vibe has been so different. From check-in to the end. There is not nearly as much of a happy, accepting of everyone state of mind from new staff members (existing staff members that were under Emily are always PHENOMENAL). Instead, with the new additions and management, it has shifted more towards an uptight, judgmental vibe as soon as you walk in. Usually starting your interaction with a uninterested demeanor and looking you up and down before saying “name???”.
Also be sure to arrive early if you’re going in the afternoon as parking is terrible. I once spent over 20 minutes looking for parking (I arrived 30 min early already) and could not find any. I called the studio to let them know and they were less than helpful telling me to check places after telling them I had either just left that area or am currently circling the garage with no success. I was still charged for not showing and when I asked them about it, they said I should have contacted them stating my problem via email… I responded with the fact that I called but apparently I should have emailed because it is faster… Good classes, just not as friendly or helpful anymore.

Midtown Yoga is an absolutely spectacular and magical studio! I've been a member for over two years and coming here is still the highlight of my day. The studio provides a safe and inviting space for you to practice all aspects of yoga and the teachers will always make you feel welcomed. The classes will push you to your limits physically and mentally in the best way possible and you may even find yourself having a personal breakthrough or two (I sure as hell have!). I am so incredibly grateful for the challenges, support, and enlightenment that I have found at Midtown Yoga!

I am in the military and moved to Raleigh last year. I took the deal at every Hot yoga studio around, honestly to get the deal and just move on. I fell in LOVE with Midtown yoga. The teachers or so down to earth and authentic in the way they teach and give advice which is always there. I never feel like anyone is being fake, same goes for the other students in the classes. Its just a really inviting, friendly and non judgemental environment. I go at least 5 times a week and every class in different but each is challenging with room for your own creativity which they embrace. I used to run 6 miles a day and now with hot yoga I have better results with extra perk of learning how to calm down and not react to everything in life so fast which has been my biggest blessing from this studio. There is showers and everything is as clean as can be. Normally hot yoga studios have a smell to them but this one is always clean and vibrant. You feel a calm just getting in the door. There is a lot of other nice treats but I can't spoil everything for you :) Just try it and you will love it!

I found Midtown Yoga (MY) completely by accident over the summer while I was essentially a yoga gypsy, going anywhere that classes were being taught just to get away from yoga in front of my computer (not that it didn’t fill the need when that was all there was). I found MY outdoor classes were regularly scheduled, taught by great teachers and were great classes. It wasn’t long before I signed up to be a member at MY and have been going to 4-5 classes a week regularly again.
It’s a great studio space, great location and the classes are taught by a very skilled staff who each have their own slightly different style and flows. It has given me my yoga home again and I am so enjoying being a member. Namaste.

Hands down - Best of the best!! I was a member at MY pre-COVID and felt the loss of yoga almost immediately when the studio was forced to close. However, MY has done a fantastic job continuing to keep yoga in the community during COVID by offering online and outdoor classes in different locations and different times, all throughout the week. They recently re-opened the studio and I have been incredibly impressed with the cleanliness of the studio and their dedication to keeping members and staff safe while providing opportunities to get back into the hot room. All of the teachers are so friendly and help me advance my yoga practice each and every class. I am so happy to be back!!

Seriously best hot yoga place in the Triangle. I did their 10 classes for $25 deal they have going on right now and the my first day I fell in love. All the instructors are extremely kind and I love their words during class to prepare me for the day or to end the day with. They are very attentive during class to make sure everyone in the room is doing okay because it is hot yoga for a reason. I love the heat in the yoga studio, it helps loosen up my muscles and I've gotten more flexible than I thought I would in these past 10 days. I have become so addicted to it that I am even going for an extra day and I will be definitely getting a membership in the near future. If you have never done hot yoga, I highly recommend you go to Midtown Yoga for your first time, you won't want to stop.

A beautifully designed space that is modern, clean and welcoming. I take the 1 hr hot flow to keep the energy flowing and the warm flow to focus on alignment and holding postures longer to build inner strength. Both classes allow you to dial it up or down, depending on what you need for that class. The instructors are great at making you feel welcome and are willing to always answer questions or give assistance after class.
There is a parking lot directly in front of the studio and also a parking deck a short walk away. North Hills does have special concerts/events so I have had to park in the deck a few times but it is free and the short walk is not horrible.
The studio offers a new client special: $25 for 10 consecutive days. It's a great deal as most studios charge $15 a class. There are community building events and socials that are planned.
Give the studio a try and you will not be disappointed. Emily is not only a great instructor but has a great energy that is genuine.

The yoga studio itself is great. The parking is horrendous. I usually go to class on a weekday morning so maybe that's why, but I shouldn't have to spend 20 minutes looking for a parking spot all over N Hills. Today I never found one, so I called and spoke to Emily (which I found out is the owner) and told her I wasn't going to make it to class because I couldn't park anywhere. Her reply was that she's working on getting more parking available and that her suggestion is to just arrive early to look for it. Wow thanks...because I didn't think of that (insert eye roll).
So I got to the parking lot at 9:15am, 30 minutes before class and I'm supposed to arrive earlier than that?? I don't think so. I have a class pass package and I asked for a refund (because I can't actually get to class!) and Emily told me they don't offer refunds. I get that, but if I CAN'T actually get to class then what am I supposed to do...Uber? I don't think so.
So I guess I can't go to Midtown yoga because there's no where to park and I can't get a refund, so I guess I'm out a couple hundred dollars now. That's just great.
UPDATE: I’m very happy to report that shortly after this review I received an email from the owner with an apology and a refund.

As a yoga student who isn't drawn to hot yoga but is eager to venture out of their comfort zone, I couldn't have hoped for anything more than Emily's Saturday AM class. I felt welcomed as a newcomer, the class had a great structure and vibe, the room had ideal lighting and ventilation, good music, and Emily consistently reminded the class that it was about the journey not the destination; I liked that. Will definitely be back. Thanks, Emily, for expanding my horizons...and making me work my abs. :)

My fiancé and I went to the grand opening week to try a free class. We went to the MY Strength class and I loved it! After the class they had mimosas and I got to look around. I loved that they had a book selection and most of the books were on my want to read list! Didn’t hurt that they had kombutcha too, It felt like I was in my element. My fiancé bought me an unlimited membership that day because of how much I liked it. I’ve really enjoyed trying all the teachers and different styles. Time for an anectdote.
Background: I’m 32 years old and I’ve been playing golf for 12 years, and have been fairly proficient (2-4 handicap) for nearly 7 years. With the torsion of the back in the golf swing, (sometimes) violent articulation of the shoulders and hips, and abrupt redirection of the large and small muscle groups, it goes without saying my body has taken quite a beating from the game. Over the past couple years, I’ve noticed that my game has hit a plateau- averaging 290-300 yds of the tee, with the occassional lucky 320, and my swing hasn’t felt very controllable. In order to hit fairways more often, I’ve dialed my swing back to maintain control, thus losing 20-30 yards over the past few years, and my body would ache for days after playing 18 holes. I had come to accept that I wouldn’t get much better, and that was a hard pill to swallow... so I slowly found myself playing less and less. Until.........
Enter Midtown Yoga! I started going to Midtown Yoga right after they opened (I think March). I causally told Emily, the owner and my favorite instructor, what my goals were and what my schedule was, and I joined after my first class. I’ve tried to go 2-3 times a week since then. The classes are challenging mentally and physically... very often in that order! I won’t go into the details of the classes or the moves, but my favorite part: THE RESULTS!
As a stay at home dad, it’s been hard to get a moment to play golf, but recently I was home alone for 4 days and I decided to spend my time on the golf course. I texted Emily around the 6th hole of my first round in 7 months to tell her how she’s helped improve my golf game. After 2 holes, I’d noticed that I was hitting the ball entirely too far for how easily I was swinging. I thought it was sort of a fluke, and kept on playing. After I’d hit my 3rd drive in a row almost 360 yds, I realized something had changed with my body. That’s over 20% increase in distance, and I was hitting every fairway because I wasn’t swinging hard at all. Moving on, I tried to adjust my club selection to reflect my newfound distance, so I used a 7-iron (usually 180-185yds) at the 209 yd par 3... surely that wouldn’t reach, but I figured “what the heck?”, let’s rip it. I flew over the green by 20 yards. Since then, I’ve played 3 more rounds of golf, and the distance has been no fluke. It seems that (and I don’t want to jinx it, but) it’s here to stay! I told my best friend, who happens to be my golf instructor, that “it’s like my muscles have brains in them”.
Needless to say, I am so pleased with the practical functionality that I have gained in my body over the past few months at Midtown Yoga. Oh, I almost forgot to mention I started off MY with the precaution of a slightly torn rotator cuff... that has since remedied itself completely!
As you’ve probably read in other reviews, yes the facility is great, the staff is amazing, and the exercises are so freakin good! I just wanted to tell you how this place has truly helped change a big part of my life! I am so grateful that I gave Midtown Yoga a try!
