I almost cried tears of gratitude when I arrived here with my special needs son. We came to this pool for the first time and everyone was so welcoming and understanding. The lifeguard made us feel so comfortable and provided toys in the pool for him to play with. It wasn't crowded so there was no anxiety about letting him play and do his thing. Thank you so much Morrisville aquatics center. We will be buying the annual pass, lol.

Was blown away the moment I stepped in. There were so many exercise machines, a squash court, and weight rooms. The lap pool (where I went) was amazing. One small complaint was that I saw a big cricket in the water π«’, but it's all good, the water was very clean other than that. The bigger problem was the crazy amount of people at the time (around 5 pm), which makes sense but I would probably suggest some sort of time table schedule. Great swims there though!

They just keep on giving excuses of bad weather and cancel the swimming classes and will never make up another day for cancelled classes. You will never get the classes for what you paid for. Out of 6 monthly classes , you will get 4 or 5 only or may be less than that sometimes.

The receptionists were friendly and the facility seemed properly equipped for adults. However the lifeguards, specifically the male lifeguards, DO NOT like children. So if you pay and you have children, be warned. My friend and I came here with our four children (ages 2-5.) We were not on our phones, we were always attentive. As a preschool teacher, I know how to supervise small children and these lifeguards were simply uncomfortable with children playing in the children's section of all things. One man particularly stood over us the entire time and him and I think the manager openly made us feel uncomfortable. Not child friendly, but if you don't have children it would probably be fine. Save your money if you have kids. Cary Swim Club and the YMCA have never treated us the way we were treated today here at this facility. Other mothers have also made similar complaints, they really should do something about captain no fun on deck. No respect for women, mothers, or children here so I would not give them my money!

It would be really cool if they actually had the kids section open during normal hours that the website said it would be open, also would have been nice to know it was closed before coming or upon arriving with my three kids. They charged us full price of $24 and we could only swim in one small section. The life guards were all over the kids for playing on the steps next to the open kids area. Call ahead and check about the kids section before going.

We celebrated our daughterβs birthday here and everyone had a blast. If you are looking for a private pool party then this place exceeds expectations.
Pros: clean pool and splash pad, they provide 2 lifeguards throughout the party, accessible bathrooms and lock rooms, they even help you unload party things from car. Life
jackets and floaters are available
Cons: only 20 kids are allowed and there are only 2 tables and 8 chairs in the outdoor area.

Updating for all the people looking to join for their 2025 New Years Resolution. If you go for a tour of the facility- BE SURE TO GO AT THE TIME & DAY YOU INTEND TO USE IT. Do not go for a tour on a Sunday at 10am if you plan on using it at 5:30 on weekdays. The comments from my earlier post still stand.
On Weds. 11/13 I waited 25 minutes for a swim lane. During this time a 13/14 year old kid spent a LOT of time working on underwater handstands and somersaults in his LAP lane. A couple of other patrons spent a lot more time standing along the wall than actually swimming. I believe one was more interested in a PODcast than exercise.
The weight room has a new bunch of high school kids that (for the most part) are respectful. But they still act like kids and use the weight benchs for beverage and phone holders. You will want to get into the habit of wiping down the equipment BEFORE you use it- most people don't don't wipe down when done.
Consider these things before you join. MAFC is very affordable- which is why I still go.
Below is my earlier post from around 6 months ago.
MAFC is affordable- which is why I gave it 3 stars.
THE POOL - EXPECT TO WAIT 15- 20 MINUTES for lap swim in prime time (after work). There are 6 lanes- One dedicated to aerobics (not laps) and 2 typically have classes at this time. Of the remaining 3 lanes (6 slots) expect 2 or 3 of these slots taken up by 8-10 year old children being "coached" by their parents. They swim a lap and then spend 2 or 3 minutes being critiqued by their parents- they typically take up a lane for an hour.
THE WEIGHT ROOM- maintained well and clean. Not uncommon to be overrun by high school kids. The kids are usually respectful, however at times act like high school kids. Too bad it isn't a little bit larger. This is not a place for hardcore weight lifting. Wiping down equipment after use happens only half the time.
TREADMILLS / FITNESS EQUIPMENT maintained well.
THE STAFF is mostly courteous and helpful, but one or two people act like government employees (which, I guess, they are). In general, a decent facility geared towards children and families.
The facility does seem to close a lot or have shortened hours. The week between Xmas and New Years they were only open 9-5.

My family loves the Aquatics & Fitness Center! The staff is always warm and welcoming.
We recently had our son's birthday party at the pool. Your reservation comes with a private swim so your party guests can enjoy the pool, and kids splash area without being overcrowded. They have the perfect outdoor picnic area for cake and snacks. The pool deck and pool were both very well maintained; and the bathroom/changing rooms were clean and well kept.
The lifeguards were and are always very kind and professional β They made sure we were having a good time throughout the party. Anyone who has said otherwise in these reviews is crazy. If the lifeguards request you stay with your child that is swimming, itβs because they donβt want your child to drown. They are not there to watch your children while you relax, thatβs called a babysitter. They are there to make sure everyone is safe!!
We had a blast, and everything really was perfect! 10/10 recommend!
They also have "Swim with Santa", my kids look forward to it every year.

We have been coming here for the past few months to play pickleball and have never had any problem with the management. As usual, we reserved the court online and paid the fee on returning the equipment (if any) and had no issues, UNTIL today. When we reached there at our scheduled booking slot and went in to ask management to help us unlock the pickleball net and some paddles, this person named BOB asked us for our car keys as a form of deposit until we returned the net and paddles. We usually register our name and list of equipment in the log page, but today they wanted our car keys as leverage (which is never mentioned on their website as a requirement, mind you). After paying the amount and leveraging our car key, this other lady went out to unlock the pickle ball net, and Bob started laughing at us for no reason. When we asked the reason for his incessant laughter, he said, βBECAUSE YOU ARE HILARIOUSβ in a sarcastic tone. It seems that this was specifically targeted towards us because we didnβt see any other car keys leveraged at their desk besides ours. When we asked for the receipt, again they sarcastically told us, βOh, now you want the receipt." When one of our friends mentioned that they never had this type of experience too in the past, he stated, βWELCOME TO THE NEW LIFE." Seriously??? Not once in the entire conversation were these guys sorry; they didnβt even apologize for the way they behaved. The management should put extra focus on guys like him and teach them how to talk respectfully with women. Pathetic experience.

We (Me and my friends) had a troubling experience at MAFC a day ago. Despite being a regular for months, and paying always for the tennis court this time the staff thought we were theives and are refusing to pay and will run away with their equipments, so they refused to let us leave with paddles and ball until they had our car keys.
This type of thing has never occurred in the past and it seemed like staff was very specific to us. There were other people also playing with centers equipments but no oneβs car key was asked so that was quite specific to us. Even after returning equipment, When we requested a receipt for the payment we did the staff responded with sarcastic comments. This was a highly unprofessional and uncomfortable situation, and it's disappointing to see such behavior from a place we've trusted.

I recently read a negative review by Vaidehi Shah and could not disagree more. My experience with the staff has been 100% positive, and I have found all of them to be professional, friendly and helpful. I don't understand why he has singled out a specific employee and labeled him in a very derogatory and hurtful way--without justification of specific examples. I consider this cyber bullying--and I am dismayed that this person cannot be objective and fair in his evaluation without name calling or behaving in a civil manner. I have found that the MAFC is a wonderful place for individuals and families to exercise and participate in fitness classes. I highly recommend you try it out and see for yourself.

For the past 2 years me and my family have been using the facilities at MAFC regularly. The amenities and more importantly the staff has been amazing. Right from Josh at the reception, the swim staff and coaches(Nettesheim), the karate coaches and many other staff members who are very helpful.
The facility itself has got a great facelift recently and really appreciate the town for that. The gym equipments are well maintained.

As others have said, my issue is with the pool area. There are more than enough life guards, yet the splash area, 9 inches of water, is off limits until 1130. My child, who is much taller than 9 inches, closer to 40, started wandering in and was met with whistle blowing and yelling that it wasn't open yet...kids take baths in more than 9 inches of water. And if we must be within arms reach of children below 48 inches, why do we need life guards? You could easily position the life guards to also watch this area. You could just leave the splash pad on during normal hours. Instead, y'all are paying for someone to watch grown adults watch their children. I can't say I will or won't be back, but plenty of other options to try.

I recently visited Morrisville Aquatics & Fitness Center, and I had an amazing experience. The facility is top-notch, with clean and well-maintained equipment. The staff is friendly and always ready to help. The swimming pool is fantastic, and I loved the water temperature β it was just perfect for a pool swim.
The fitness center has a wide range of equipment, from cardio machines to weights, and everything is in excellent condition. I also appreciated the variety of fitness classes offered, which cater to all fitness levels.
The atmosphere at the Morrisville Aquatics & Fitness Center is very welcoming. Whether you're a beginner or a fitness enthusiast, you will feel comfortable here. The locker rooms and showers are spotless, which adds to the overall positive experience. I highly recommend this center to anyone looking for a great place to work out and stay active.

I have already read feelings of moms similar to mine here and would like to share as well. I stopped coming to this place because I donβt find relaxation here at all. The lifeguards are on the parents as if you are not watching your kid. If your kid is a swimmer and does not need floatation device, there is no way to relax here for a minute. They do not have knowledge when it comes to toddlers. As a mom I know the capabilities of my kid as a swimmer and this place just exaggerates when it comes to safety protocols. The lifeguard and management are just rude to parents for safety and their protocols. I do not recommend bringing a toddler here. I wonβt come to this place again because it is just not the environment where my kid can thrive to swim and enjoy. I have read many complains on management style and definitely can see that from the times I was at this place. They are not professional at all when it comes to customer service. Lots of improvement for processes and people treatment.

I've been coming here for a month to help my handicapped mother do some upper body lifts in the weight room. We chose this location because it seemed like a comfortable atmosphere with no judgement in the weight room. However today we were in the middle of a set and a staff member, who was giving another member a tour of the weight room asked if we were almost done, to which I replied, "yes, we have one more set". She proceeded to condescendingly tell us "that we aren't allowed to rest on the equipment" and that we needed to move. The tone and way this was approached was very disrespectful and aggressive. So we got up and moved while she showed the touring member that specific exercise. They then proceeded to go on to do 4 more machines. So the question is, why not politely ask us to allow the touring member to work in, or go do another exercise while we finished up? As to the resting on the equipment, my mother is 61 years old with two severely arthritic knees and can barely walk, do you expect her to stand up and stand in the corner in between sets? I can't imagine the staff member has any kind of real training qualifications, however when someone is working out, there is a rest period in between sets. That is normal. Not to mention the fact that 3 young healthy men were on their phones on the other side of the gym occupying equipment space, however nothing was said to them. All in all, if i were older and looking for a place that can be accommodating to your needs, I'd choose a different gym because the price convenience isn't worth being uncomfortable and disrespected.

Very bad hospitality. Maybe be cheap and well maintained, but is it worth it?? Don't come here if you have children, because you go and whatever your child does is bad. The lifeguards are always on you. I wrote an email to them of the bad experience I had and you know what I got. We do this all in the name of safety. No apology at all. And no real reason either. Don't go here with your children. Seriously we might as well say the toddler swim area is dangerous and a hazard to all. For example the manager I emailed said that children and adults aren't allowed to be in the toddler water area for who knows what reason. Wouldn't say and also said that she could have drowned even with the life vest on and in water that is less then a foot. Very bad service.

The shower rooms are always clean and tidy. The staff is warm and friendly. I love going to swim here. I have made many friends within the community thanks to this place. Updated based on business response.
Donβt get me wrong. This is a very nice pool, but the staff and management is pretty terrible - typical government employees. Staff and management report that they arenβt able to notify those with reservations when there are closures (on Facebook or otherwise). The man working the front desk stated he βdidnβt have timeβ over the last 45 minutes since the thunder to log into the system to report the closure (10 minutes later, no one else came in, and the closure still wasnβt reported).
They are apathetic and βhear thunderβ when there is none. The staff attitude is poor when communicating this. Unapologetic and relishing in not having to work. For example, lifeguards playing patty cake right by the entrance while listening for thunder and then excitedly reporting they heard more! As a lobby full of customers that drove there to swim waits.
Iβm aware pools must close for thunder. Being rude or unprofessional about it is just uncalled for though.

I'd give it a 5-star, for its reasonable price (I ended up committing to a 10-time pounch pass happily for its non-Morresville residence rate) and clean facility. The pool was simply nice and clean, with a suitable temperature (feels cool but not cold), which made me feel very pleased with my first swimming experience over there. I also like the glass roof, which made the facility look/feel very spacious (i.e., being able to see blue sky and trees outside). It's worth mentioning that sometimes I had runny nose within a day after swimming, but that's not the issue here.
But there is a drawback: it seems that place is getting so popular so that there's always people around. You may have to wait, and I tend to believe that pretty often you will need to share a lane with other swimmers (with most of them being friendly enough, though).

The facility is very nice and I love all the amenities. The 2 things I would like to see change is the closing for cleaning and opening hours on the weekends. Please clean the facility before or after hours, especially now that the membership fee is going up. I should be able to come when I want during the middle of the day. Please open at 8am instead 9am.

I attempted to use the facility and was turned away due to a 30 minute cleaning from 2:00-2:30pm. Most people who live in the area and favor this place are passive and will not say anything negative about anything including aspect of a business. Essentially, they are defeated. This inconvenience cost me energy and time while I began sweating in the vehicle waiting on this place to open only to go back in and reject their services until they change their cleaning time to before or after they open or close because cleaning in the middle of the day was not a smart idea. I should receive a lifetime of free visits for emotional and mental stress and turmoil. I visited this place to improve my health, not decrease it with stress and frustration. No one will say anything so nothing will be done.

Morrisville Aquatics & Fitness Center has a lot to offer from swimming pool with 5 lines and small pool with basket to a gym, squash, treadmills and more. They have a lot of classes to offer, even some fro fee. Stuff is very nice. I give 5 stars as I cannot complain and itβs really close to where I live.

Visited as an alternative location. Was disappointed there was no indoor walking/jogging track.
Great pool, equipment, and lockers available. Outdoor handrails for 1st and 2nd story accessibility need maintenance; showing signs of rust and need of paint.

A newly renovated facility which provides access to gym, pool, tennis, pick ball and racquet ball courts all under one roof. Adding to it there are Karate classes for kids and fitness training all at a reasonable cost for both residents and non residents of Morrisville. Can start with trying out on a daily pass to see what plan suits you the best.

Best in town. Great teachers and only two students per class. Only downside is that there are no makeup classes even when your kid is sick.

Cheap, nice pool, good gym, but locker room smells and the pool could use some more lanes based on the amount of people.

As a relatively recent member at MAFC, I've really enjoyed the facility. If you're the type of person who prefers a cozier gym that isn't crazy packed like the big box gyms, this is the place to be. It's clean, family friendly, and very affordable. While the pool gets packed in the early hours of the day, which happens at every pool, if you're a serious swimmer, I've rarely had to wait for a lane. Finally, the staff and leadership really do care about the members!

Today was my first time visiting this facility and I must say, I was not pleased. The staff at the front desk wasnβt the most pleasant & she clearly did not want to be bothered. I asked if she could give me a tour and she was hesitant to do so. As I was leaving, another African American woman came to the front desk to inquire about swimming hours. The staff told her sheβd possibly have to share a lane with another person and that the lanes are for swimming, not for βplay timeβ. Just rude, unnecessary, and unprofessional. Please do better.
