As a physical therapist, it's often a challenge to find the right 1:1 personal training coach for my clients who are coming off of injuries or post-rehab. And as a former personal trainer myself, I am very picky about whom I choose to send clients to.

Daryn is a coach that I trust, and if you're looking for 1:1 personal training in the Raleigh area, Daryn should be at the top of your list. She is conscientious, engaging, and motivational and I've only received great feedback from clients she has helped live a transformed life.

Another trait I look for in trainers is someone who lives what they preach, and Daryn is super fit. She ranks in the top 1% of the hundreds of trainers I've met over the past 20 years in practice.

Daryn was my trainer in NJ while I was trying to work on my post partum body and into my second pregnancy. She was so comfortable to be around and flexible with scheduling because she’s a mom and she gets it. She paid a lot of attention to form and didn’t let you get lazy. She also knew just how to adjust workouts for a growing pregnant mama. If she hadn’t moved we’d still be working me out! She’s great!

Daryn is a highly knowledgeable and enthusiastic trainer - and a truly lovely person.

At age 58, my training goals are more about mobility and stamina - maintaining strength. I also struggle with vertigo and that has made it very difficult for me to exercise. Daryn was flexible and clever - quickly finding work arounds for days when I was less steady. I knew I could just show up, even on “off days”, and still get a good workout (and also be treated with respect and empathy).

What I like most about Daryn is her adaptability and her listening skills. She respects your goals and keeps you motivated. She’s not about shaming or pushing you way outside of your comfort zone, but rather providing personalized solutions and consistent support.

I met Daryn as we were just emerging from COVID. My former gym had closed a year earlier and I had eaten a lot cookies while working remotely. I was pretty discouraged and interviewed a lot of trainers to find the right fit. Going to our sessions each week (in her immaculate gym) really sustained me and got me back on track. I’ll always be grateful to her. Montclair’s loss is definitely Raleigh’s gain!

I just got back from a beach vacation with six of my best friends and many bathing suit pics were posted to social media. I fielded a TON of texts asking what I have been doing as a workout. The answer is M.O.V.E. Fitness. I have been doing small group training with Daryn for six months now and not only are the physical results apparent but the mental ones are too. I feel confident enough in myself to have signed up for a Spartan Race!

The workouts are fun and varied, the setting is bright and clean and Daryn's ability to quickly modify workouts for anyone's personal needs or injuries make this the routine I have stuck with the longest.

I have been attending three to four days a week so I get to meet a lot of the people in each group and everyone is super fun. I have even hung out with a few of them outside of our workouts which was super clutch being that I had recently moved to Montclair when I started with Daryn.

On days when we have had no school Daryn has been able to hire a sitter so that our kids could play and hang out while we still got our workout in. She really does make it easy for you to take an hour to focus on yourself and your well being.

I highly recommend MOVE whether you are a person who already consistently works out or someone who needs a little push to get into a routine.
