⭐ One Star – Absolutely appalling experience
I don’t normally write reviews, but what happened to me and my girlfriend at the Neuse River Racquet Club was so outrageous it needs to be shared. We were treated with blatant disrespect, singled out, and ultimately kicked out of the facility for absolutely no valid reason—just disgusting behavior.

The staff was shockingly rude from the moment we arrived. One woman in particular—wearing a sour expression and a tragic all-black 90s bowl cut—seemed to take it upon herself to make us feel unwelcome. Her condescending tone and thinly veiled racism made the entire experience uncomfortable and hostile. She treated us as if we didn’t belong there, questioned everything we did, and hovered like we were a problem waiting to happen. It was humiliating.

We were eventually told to leave the premises with no explanation other than “you’re not following the rules,” despite doing absolutely nothing wrong. It was clear we were being targeted, and it felt discriminatory and personal.

Places like this have no business being in operation if they can’t treat all guests with basic human decency. Avoid this club at all costs—unless you’re looking to be profiled, disrespected, and publicly embarrassed.

Had taken plenty of lessons here. Very laid back atmosphere and owners are easy to work with. Had also attended several private events in the clubhouse. This is a nice venue for midsized gatherings. The courts are very well maintained clay courts with the appropriate watering equipment providing a perfect moisture balance, never dusty. I have felt like family and friends every time I arrived at the facility. A great place to play and to sharpen your game. Tennis pros are top notch and you can easily taylor individual lessons, or sign up for group sessions.
