I have loved Norse ever since I walked in the door. Andy (the owner) is a great guy. Everyone that comes here is super friendly. The biggest guys are the friendliest. Worth every penny.

I have been training at this gym since march of this year. This gym by far has the best community and mindset for strength training on this side of the greater charlotte area. It is a fully outfitted gym with rogue equipment and racks, along with specialty equipment for targeted accessory training such as buffalo and safety squat bars, to strongman equipment with a variety of atlas stones, farmers walk implements, and yoke carry training equipment to provide variety in your training routine. Andy and Clint are both excellent people committed to seeing the gym succeed, and are always more than helpful with any questions you have, no matter how dumb you may think they are. If you are looking for a local gym with 24/7 access with great equipment and excellent gym culture, then look no further.

From the moment I stepped into Norse Compound, it was clear this wasn't just any gym – it was a realm where modern fitness meets ancient Norse spirit. This place is a treasure trove for anyone looking to transform their physical and mental prowess, surrounded by a community that feels more like a familial clan of warriors.

Members treated me as a friend on day 1. The staff and members here are creating a culture not seen in most gym/training facilities. Everyone works together because we all have similar goals. They host great strength events with an atmosphere that is unmatched. I am proud to call the owner, coaches, and members friends.

Joined Norse recently after getting tired of trying to fight for limited equipment and dealing with the obnoxious crowds that big box gyms often bring. This place has been awesome. All the equipment that strength athletes could ask for, never overcrowded, and a great vibe across the board. Also love what their brand stands for which is an added bonus.

I just joined recently but already love this place!

I had previously been a member of a franchise gym and got tired of them not having the right equipment for a proper workout and clientele that didn't take working out seriously.

This place is far from fancy but that's exactly what I need - a gym that focuses on the workout and none of the excess. You won't find any spa treatments here or even mirrors. But you will find the tools you need to help reach your deadlift and squat goals.

Finally I look forward to going to the gym again!

Not just the best gym in Concord, it’s the ONLY real gym in Concord. Plenty of racks, platforms and weights available. There’s a great culture here among the small community of lifters looking to improve themselves.

It’s been years since I joined a gym. Relocated and Norse was super close, and exactly like the gyms of yore I grew up around except cleaner, lol. I didn’t think I would be able to find anything close that and definitely didn’t want to go big box gym again. Just joined but so far everyone has been kind and supportive! Fate, maybe. Destiny, likely. New Saga, definitely!!

After years at commercial gyms I was blessed to have a friend tell me of Norse. 1- Epic vibes of strength, 2- community, 3- never really over crowded since it's 24/7, 4- instructions on best lifting form without judgement, 5- encouragement, 6- amazing gear that actually crosses over to my extreme sports and not just lifting.. or my daily clothing
7- great supplements, 8- music that fuels you.

Honestly I grew up lifting.. at gyms where people would randomly walk up and comment on outfits, my size, my abilities.. that doesn't happen here. What they do, if you need a spot, they are there. They will watch your form without creeping you out as a female. They will encourage you and never make you feel like you have failed. If you do miss a lift.. they critique it physically by what you may have done.. lost your shoulders or your core. And then they encourage you through doing it again.
Do you have to speak up sometimes to build friendships.. yes. Why? Because they go in focused.. they don't go in to beat up on others or judge. When you let your guard down, you build a family..
When I am moving and my travel restrictions in house searches are my church and gym.. you know you found the RIGHT gym.

There’s a difference between someone “who goes to the gym”, and someone “who works out”.

Norse makes the difference very clear. With many friendly members who keep the gym space friendly and clean.
I’ve only meet about 8 other members, but i guarantee all of them would have gave me excellent workout advise.

This isn’t your ordinary gym! This gym is hardcore but at the same time convenient. It is host to some of the strongest people I know but also the nicest….They really know how to make you feel like a part of a family and community. Tons of equipment to select from and even some that most would consider unorthodox!

Great atmosphere! Amazing motivation from other members even if you don’t know them or they don’t know you. It’s a family away from family here. I have been a member of the group fitness classes for over a year now and I cannot imagine going anywhere else to reach my fitness goals. I’ve built muscle, lost over 30 pounds. I’ve gained more confidence and got my energy back. I’ve set and achieved goals I never thought I would reach and I continue to set new ones.
It’s tough, it’s grueling. The coaches here know their stuff, are patient, insist on proper form, and are the best at encouraging you to get where you want to go. The class members really become like family.
I don’t want any other gym.

Great gym, love the music and being able to go after I get off work at 2am.

Edit: I am still going to this gym, a year later, still a great gym that i would still highly recommend. Andy is committed to making the gym the best it can possibly be. I have seen more and better equipment being added to improve the experience and make working out both fun and effective.

So, all in all if you are looking for a great gym, that is locally owned and with a great atmosphere and variety of equipment, look no further and join! The icing on the cake is that the price is comparable to most real gyms (planet fitness doesn't count, obviously) in the area.
