Classical Pilates studio just outside of Chatham Park in Pittsboro offering group classes, private training, specialized workshops, and teacher training. Our small classes enable our instructors to give each student the attention necessary for a challenging classical workout. Whether you are a complete beginner, returning to exercise, or a seasoned athlete, Pilates at the Core is for every body. Our centralized location, convenient to downtown Pittsboro and Highway 64 allows us to easily service clients from Chapel Hill, Apex, and beyond.

This is hands down the best Pilates studio I’ve ever been to. Penelope and Judy are attentive and truly dedicated to their craft. I never feel lost or left to figure things out on my own. They make sure I’m doing every move correctly and encourage (actually push) me to go further.
It’s been a couple of months but I already feel the improvement in my posture and strength.
It’s amazing to see the differences by just showing up.

I LOVE this studio!! The space is clean, new equipment, very well thought out design, classes are small, and it's filled with amazing energy. What really sets it apart is the one-on-one attention — you’re never just a number here. The instructors are not only skilled and knowledgeable, but also incredibly conscientious. They take the time to understand your body's strengths and limitations (injuries etc...) and adjust the session to make sure you get exactly what will benefit you most. I always leave feeling stronger, more aligned, and uplifted. Highly recommend for anyone looking for top quality Pilates experience!

I love the new studio. Bright and inviting and very clean. There is something for everyone offered at Pilates at the Core. The instructors are knowledgeable, patient and offer a work around if something does not feel right in your body. Definitely try it out and you will love it.

After years of hearing about Pilates I decided to try it out. So grateful for the 1-1 attention in my first class. Judy not only explained the exercises she gave me the background to fully understand what this type of exercise offered my body. From the history of Joe Pilates to the rational behind the sequential flow of each movement - each exercise setting up your body for the next. It felt good to have exercise tailored to my body. Small classes allow the instructors to correct and align you to ensure no strains happen.
I also like the purchase model of tokens rather than a monthly fee - allows me more flexibility in choosing classes.
So happy with it I gifted classes to a good friend for her birthday!

I can't recommend Pilates at the Core studio highly enough. What really sets this studio apart is the perfect combination of deep knowledge, personal attentiveness, and genuine inclusiveness.
Penelope, Judy & Laura are incredibly well-trained and passionate about what they do. They take the time to explain not just the "how" but the "why" behind each movement, which has been invaluable in helping me improve my form and understanding of Pilates overall.
No matter your fitness level or experience, they meet you where you are. They offer modifications, correct your posture with care, and celebrate your progress — big or small. You never feel like just another person in a class.
And perhaps most importantly, this studio is a model of inclusiveness. People of all ages, body types, and backgrounds are welcomed and supported. It’s clear that they’ve worked hard to create a space where everyone feels seen, respected, and empowered.
If you’re looking for a studio that’s as uplifting as it is effective, this is it. I feel stronger, more confident, and more connected to my body than ever before. Truly a gem in the community!

As someone new to pilates, I appreciate the personal attention, even when in a class, to ensure I have the proper form and the necessary modifications to perform the exercises. I was so excited to hear that Pilates at the Core was opening in Pittsboro—just five minutes from my home! What I love most about taking classes at PATC is how amazing I feel afterward. As an equestrian with multiple injuries, including recent lower back pain, I’ve found the classes to be a game-changer.
The instructors are incredible—they genuinely listen, offer personalized guidance, and adapt movements to fit your body’s unique needs. I feel confident knowing I’m safely strengthening my core, and after each class, my body feels like a million bucks!

As a Physical Therapist for the past 25 years, I understand the importance of core strength and stability. I also appreciate the need for a core strengthening program that focuses on form, quality of movement and the individual and that’s what I have found at Pilates at the Core. All the instructors are knowledgeable and able to recognize each clients needs, providing instruction during classes to correct form and accommodate areas that might have issues. My private training with Judy was fantastic. She took the time to explain things to me & to listen to me and understand my issues and concerns. I commend the team for having you take the private lessons before attending a regular class. It helps to know how the equipment works and what you will be doing during the class so that when you attend for the first time you don’t feel overwhelmed.

Great class! PATC is one of the few (possibly the only) places that offers pilates tower classes in the area. The classes are small and the instructors are wonderful. They tailor each class to the specific attendees so you're getting a custom lesson every time and not the same class on repeat. I'm always impressed with their knowledge of the human body and ability to accommodate everyone's needs, like modifying moves to avoid aggravating an injury or incorporating movements to help recover from surgery. They encourage you to challenge yourself and continually improve your pilates practice.
