Pilates the Form truly stands by their name. Roxann, Dawn, Pragya, and Jennifer all watch me carefully and offer corrections when necessary. Each workout is structured towards my own needs with endless regressions and progressions to each movement to ensure I’m doing it properly and getting stronger in ways that help my body feel better. That’s led me to consistently improve my strength and control in the movements. I’m grateful for the time and energy they put in to coaching and teaching and it separates them from other instructors. I started coming to this studio earlier this year and was dealing with severe neck and knee pain that had really limited my exercise and flexibility. Roxann worked with me and modified exercises so that I was still able to have great sessions and learn so much about Pilates. Today, with Pilates and following my doctors’ instructions I am no longer having severe pain and feel so much better and more confident with my workouts. The studio is small, not crowded, and welcoming. All of the instructors take time to ensure we are using the proper technique so that we do injure ourselves or miss out on the benefit of the movement. I look forward to my sessions here and highly recommend each instructor here if you want to start or continue your Pilates journey!

I have been training with Roxann for over 10 years and have completed both basic and advanced mat instructor certifications. Roxann is a true master. She understands Pilates at the highest level, and is a truly gifted teacher to help you build a solid foundation. She continues to help me improve and push myself to new levels of core strength, flexibility, and fluid control of movement. All of the instructors at the studio are outstanding, as they have been trained by Roxann to the highest standards. The certification programs are very rigorous, but totally worth it. If you are looking for a quick and easy path to teach mass market Pilates, go somewhere else. But if you want to train with the best and are willing to do the work, you will find Pilates the Form to be incredibly rewarding and transformative.

I recently completed my Mat and All Equipment certification at Pilates The Form, and I can confidently say it was a transformative experience. Having practiced Pilates for years, I thought I had a solid foundation—until I trained here.

I have been working with Dawn through private lessons for about four months and I can't say enough good things about my experience. I was new to Pilates and Dawn has been a great teacher and has worked with me to progress at a pace that is best for me. Dawn at Pilates The Form is an awesome instructor! She is patient and adjusts your workout as needed to fit your body, but also makes sure you progress and get stronger. I have not stuck to an exercise regimen in the past, but have now been doing pilates with Dawn for two years and counting :)

As a person who has intermittently done pilates for over 20 years, I have been to many studios. This is a great studio with amazing instructors. I have had Dawn as my instructor and she is outstanding! She is patient, and kind, yet makes sure one is following proper form. She also is wonderful about adapting the exercises for any physical limitations one might have. I would give this place 5 stars, but must admit that the availability of weekend classes is limited, which may not be ideal for moms.

Great studio and staff! I took the Basic Mat certification course here about a year ago for professional continuing ed. Saw my own need for structured 1:1 Pilates. I've been working with Dawn 1:1 to 1:3 since. She is very "correct Pilates form" conscious, experienced, and personable. I've strengthened all of my core muscles. And greatly improved my back issues while improving overall strength and tone. It's been worth the drive for the expert attention.

My daughter has been working with Roxanne at The Form for several years after being diagnosed with scoliosis. The exercises allow her to strengthen her weaker side and have less pain in her every day life. Roxanne is a pleasure to work with. She is quick to communicate and teaches correct breath and form. Roxann is definitely the best instructor I have ever worked with. She is incredibly knowledgeable about how the body works and really knows pilates in great depth, which lets me work out on a whole different level.

I love Pilates! I am a fairly new “disciple” of Pilates.
My instructor, Roxann, is personable, patient using many different explanations and demonstrations to help me learn a new exercise or enhance one I have done before. She does the exercises with me when needed. She is positive about progress. I think she is a great teacher!
The studio itself is an attractive, peaceful, quiet space conducive to focusing on the work/training that is taking place.

I joined Pilates the Form last year and I love it! Roxann works with you to establish the correct form and then helps you achieve your goals. My core strength has greatly improved and I can see muscle definition happening. Its a small class environment and Roxann gives you individual attention and assistance. She is able to come up with modifications if you have any health issues. After my hour in class is over, I feel as if I've had a solid workout and some fun along the way....did I mention her great sense of humor? This is in no way a cookie cutter studio. You are treated as an individual and a workout is designed for you. Try it you'll love it!

I did a bunch of research and visited a bunch of different Pilates studios before I settled on Roxanne. The attention to detail she gives is stellar. I have a lot of issues from my triathlon training and she really takes the time to listen to my problems and address them in class. I’m sad it took me so long to find her! I’m a believer in Pilates and love this studio and will be going for a long time to come! I enjoyed starting with private lessons when I started because I learned a lot. I tried pilates on a whim in 2004 with Roxann. I found her studio through a google search because I was looking for something that would help my sore back as a result of weekly traveling. It takes a while to understand exactly how to engage your core and what it means to use and strengthen those muscles, but Roxann’s guidance and technique got me there! Pilates eventually gave me the core stability and strength to start running again and helped me manage the aches pregnancy brings. 14 years later I am still using the techniques Roxann taught me. I’ve seen other trainers attempt to teach pilates and no one compares. She’s the best and most knowledgeable!

Roxan and Christine changed my life. They are both extremely attentive and personable and have extensive knowledge. I have a subtalar fusion and a total ankle replacement on same ankle. Because of lack of dorsiflexion and plantarflexion, my left leg calf muscles were getting atrophied. I’m an active, healthy person otherwise but no exercise I did could get my legs back in sync. After just three months I gained a significant amount muscle and my physical therapist was so impressed!!
Been working with them 2 and sometimes 3 times a week for over a year and my whole body has experienced a positive makeover in strength, posture, and overall well-being. People always ask what I do for working out and I am happy to tell them about Pilates the Form!

I’ve been consistently working with Roxann for 5 years on the reformers 3x a week and referred many friends who have also stayed on as clients. . As a dressage rider, FEI competitor and trainer it has been a invaluable asset for strength and balance. To gain more knowledge, I also became a certified instructor through her classes. This too was informative, fun and hugely beneficial. But the best endorsement was from a Veterinan horse chiropractic friend who stated “I hate the gym. I have been working with Roxann for over 8 years, which included a pregnancy. I have valued how much Roxann is able to tune into individual needs in order that her clients get the most from their session. Recently, I had hip surgery and have had to work through very tight muscles. Within a couple of sessions, Roxann taught me how to use my muscles better to relieve the tension. If you are looking for a true pilates class then this is the place. This is a legitimate pilates studio with all the equipment needed to correctly practice pliates. The instructor, Roxann, is very knowledgeable and always makes sure you are doing all exercises with the correct form. I'm amazed at how much this program has transformed my body. I no longer have neck pain and my body has never been in better shape. If you are looking for a pilates class then this is where you want to be.

I have been working out with Roxann for over 5 years. I am stronger and more fit than I was before working out here. When I took a break due to returning to school, there was a noticeable difference in my ability to run pain free once I stopped working with Roxann. Now that I have returned, there is a noticeable difference in how I feel both while running and on a day to day basis. I have a great amount of fun in my work outs and enjoy the small group setting. Roxann is very good especially if you have pain or injury. When I first started with roxann I was in terrible back pain and used a cane. After years of core strenghtening I'm in less pain and never need my cane or walker. Roxann is better than any physical therapist that I've seen plus it is good exercise. Who doesn't want to learn how to suck in their stomach more?!?

I was skeptical that Pilates was a "real" workout...boy was I wrong to have any doubt. I have been so sore in places I didn't even know could BE sore. It's all about proper form and the staff makes sure you're doing each move correctly so there's no chance of strain or injury. After only 5 sessions I am feeling so much stronger. Give them a try. You will not be disappointed!
