I start coming to this gym with my friend. I did not have a membership at that time. We used to go after work after five so at 5:30 we used to be there and one of the staff, a guy short guy with beard and I believe he has long hair or with a ponytail, I believe He’s Hispanic. He was really rude to us. I ended up getting my own membership. But I will have to cancel because I don’t feel comfortable coming back to the gym. I’ve been to other gyms where I feel comfortable, but having this type of staff, not knowing what customer service is, it’s the worst. I really think he needs some fair housing training as well. We didn’t know that me as a guest couldn’t go in where the bed massage is. Once we came out, he was really rude to us and I told him you need to do the same policies you want me to follow you should do the same for everybody. Because one day I saw two girls one was a guest, and the other one had a membership and I saw when she scanned her membership and the other one did not, but he let them go in together. And that is a fair housing issue there. The worst gym ever I will never recommend this gym to none of my friends and to none of my families members. After this issue, we have not come back to this gym. We are planning on checking options like fitness connection because we have friends that have recommend fitness connection for us. My friend and I are planning on canceling our planet fitness membership. There is no point of paying $30 a month plus fee to feel harassed by the staff.

I went in on my Birthday and immediately after checking in Jamal greeted me with "happy birthday"! I was pleasantly surprised! His birthday wish made my day.

DO NOT GO HERE!
This gym does not take customers safety seriously and does not “take responsibility” for bad things that happen here. If you decide to go here, make sure you use locks on your locker and keep all of your belongings close to you otherwise they WILL be stolen and Planet Fitness does not care.
My bag with my wallet/keys were in a locker in the women’s locker room when they were stolen (by a MAN seen on video who is NOT a member of the gym) and my car was then stolen out of the parking lot where someone at the front desk watched it happen. I have been told by law enforcement that this is “very common, particularly at Planet Fitness.” Become a member at your own risk.

I obviously filed a police report when it happened, my car was stolen. I believe you are very aware that I filed a police report because I am being told by CMPD that staff at this location are not cooperating with police and the investigation by not providing video footage that you clearly have access to because you told me over the phone that you saw it. So thank you so much for your advice of filing a police report, maybe I should advise you to cooperate with the police. Unless of course you are involved with this group of people who are clearly still stealing vehicles from this location as I have seen that another vehicle was stolen on Monday 10/6. Absolutely disgusting.

Sabrina aka the manager was very rude to me. I was in the lobby at least 20 feet away from anyone else and she yelled across the computers where she works to check people in not to use my speaker phone. I don't speak loudly at all and my phones speaker phone doesn't turn up very loud either. I'm going to try and avoid this location as much as possible. 4 Stars due to the most discreet outdoor signage ever for a PF location. In the era of Waze and Google maps, I even questioned if I was in the correct location.

Really happy to see the Leverage resistance machines for upper body in addition to the traditional pin/cable macines. The DB area was clean and organized. The smiths were nicely separated and didn't feel like they were always in over demand mode.

Adaptable cardio existed for those with lower body issues, which I alway consider a plus since I've rehabbed knees, ankles and shoulders in my past.

I'm in rower mode. Matrix rowers at this location. While not my favorite, they were in working order, foot straps, handles, and even the monitor. That would normally seal the door for 5 stars, except for the external signs.

It appears as if there was a good community vibe within the location. Glad I picked this site on my visit to CLT.

I’ve been a Planet Fitness member since February and just recently started going to this South Blvd location about a week ago. Everything had been fine — until today, when I had an extremely upsetting experience with an employee named Chris at the front desk.

I usually bring in a Liquid Death aluminum can that I refill at the gym’s filtered water station. I do this to avoid plastic bottles, and I’ve done it at several Planet Fitness locations without any issue. Even at this location, I’ve brought it in multiple times over the past week, and the other front desk staff never said a word.

Today, Chris stopped me and claimed I wasn’t allowed to bring in the can because of “safety rules.” I calmly asked him whose rules those were and if he could show me a written policy. He said it was “company policy” but couldn’t show me anything and instead told me I had to leave. When I stood my ground — respectfully — he escalated the situation and called the police on me over a water can.

When the police arrived, they spoke to me and said clearly that I hadn’t done anything wrong. Even the officers could see this was excessive. Yet Chris still asked them to “make me leave.” It was humiliating to be approached by police in front of other gym members, all because of one employee who decided to make up and enforce unclear rules. I lost nearly an hour, couldn’t finish my workout, and felt deeply disrespected.

I’m not writing this out of anger — I’m writing it because no customer should be treated this way. Chris’s behavior was unprofessional, unnecessary, and damaging to Planet Fitness’s reputation. I hope the owners or management seriously address this situation and make sure their policies are clearly communicated — and enforced with basic respect.

I’m a Latina woman with curves. I always wear workout clothes to the gym. This time, I was told to leave because my top was supposedly “too much” for others. I have boobs, where am I supposed to hide them? If I were a thin, white, flat-chested woman, I doubt anyone would have said anything. I’ve seen plenty of women dressed the same or even more revealing without any issues.

What’s worse is that I had already been to this exact same Planet Fitness before wearing the same outfit, and no one said a word. So why now? Just looking for a reason to bother someone? I truly feel this was body discrimination. People come to the gym to work out ,not to be judged or shamed.

Chicagoan here while traveling for work. My hotel had a disappointing gym, so I decided to make the drive out to this PF so as not to waste my pre-workout consumption. Been with PF for a little over two years, and my local gyms have always gotten the job done. Imagine my surprise when I walked into this location to find the most superb facility that I’ve come across in all my PF visits across the country. It is almost overwhelming how much equipment this gym has. So many machines of different varieties neatly organized in a relatively narrow space. It was such a treat to experience this PF’s facility. Not only is it kept immaculate when it comes to cleanliness, but you can tell almost immediately that it is managed extremely well. Not a sore machine in sight, staff walking around continuously to wipe down equipment. Even the patrons respect the equipment. I honestly wish my local gym was this outstanding! Will be taking the Uber ride out to this facility anytime I’m in the Charlotte area!

Love how conveniently close it is to me … but the management is quite bad. There is an African American lady manager who stalks you . I was doing some Yin Yoga and she came up to me to interrupt because she thought that I was sleeping and that’s not allowed at the gym🙄🙄🙄. She ruined my meditation.

As a black card member for many years, I have never faced such audacity. Today, I approached the front desk and politely asked Sabrina to turn on the hydro massage for me. However, she lazily glanced at me while playing on her phone and replied, “She (the other lady) will help you,” before turning her head back down. I had to wait in line until another employee finished assisting the other customer. It was interesting to see how someone at work believes that Instagram is more important than helping a customer. I also want to add that this is not the first instance of rudeness from her. She behaves this way periodically toward other clients as well. There are some negative comments, but I’ve been going to this Planet Fitness location for several years, and it’s been a fantastic experience! The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and ready to help with any questions. I appreciate how clean and well-maintained the facility is, including the locker rooms. This might be one of the oldest planet fitness gyms I've been in. Equipment is outdated. The cleaning spray bottles were hanging on the side of the trash can instead of having a place for them next to the paper towel dispenser. I had to walk halfway across the gym just to find a trash can with cleaning supplies. There was a guy on a ladder cleaning the huge fans, blowing dust and debris everywhere (definitely something that could be done after hours). They still have the old massage chairs that are coin-operated. The hydro beds are parallel to the wall, underneath a really bright wall lamp. Felt like I was being interrogated while laying in the hydro bed. Next time I am in town, I will drive halfway across town to a nicer facility. AND the self check-in scanners at the front desk for not working.

Overall was a fairly decent planet fitness. The equipment was well spaced out in certain areas but a few areas were definitely on the tight side. However all recommend that I was trying to use was in good working order so no complaints there.

I will say that the locker room and bathrooms were definitely on the clean side but a few of the shower stalls in the men's bathroom needs repairing. One of them has a big hole in the wall probably from fixing some pipe work in the wall so it's not useable. And the handicap stall's access chair is totally ripped off the wall. This would've been a 3 star review but since the bathrooms were clean I added a star to make it 4. So worth visiting for the gym but if you need to use the showers I definitely would go elsewhere.

By far the worst PF I have been to. Mainly because of the manager. The one with the eyebrows that everyone else is complaining about. She wanted to give us grief about a policy because they are VERY by the book here. That seems weird because the men's restroom has no soap. None. I would think that is a health department policy. Dear Planet Fitness,

Pls. Check your employees in this branch they are very very Rude, it is supposedly, judgment free vibe! But what we experience today is like a Halloween vibe! It’s like you are criminal, and take note I am a black card member, I pay monthly and is it says here to bring a guest! When I’m showering, the black lady with a tattoo, said you can go, you can’t be here and harassing us I will report you to the whole planet fitness, that you can’t go every where! What! Is it the customers right? And she will will call the cops! What? Are we criminal?

Pls check this employees here because I’ve been in the planet fitness, all over the states and they are very rude!!!! And she said I’ll call the cops, what the. They are Treating the customers like criminals! Oh my God, I hope you can take actions to this. Pls teach them what is proper customer service when you’re on the front desk, when all you want is to shower but then ending up harassing you, calling the cops and scaring you that they will report to the, planet fitness that you can’t use, any of them.
Like you treating them like you’re out of privilege and criminal. That’s very gross attitude.

Please do not waste your time or money on planet fitness. This will be my last time ever walking in this place. They WILL find a way to over charge you. Make your bank charge nsf fees. Tell you the routing number isn’t matching up. It’s all done through corporate. Do not go to this gym. Also was told what to do several times by the staff here because of policies that make absolutely no sense. I would do no stars if possible

This is probably the worst planet fitness club in the Charlotte area starting with the management that Sabrina girl doesn’t have a clue of what good leadership and costumer service is,and bathrooms always dirty and front desk staff always carrying an arrogant attitude

I've been to every planet fitness in the greater Charlotte area, and this is my favorite. Most convenient location, good equipment, and is pretty comfortable. Not a overly crowded gym either. Overall 👍

Very clean gym. Big with tons of machines. The bathroom is large and well kept. The customer service is extremely good. I walked in with a greeting and left with a out going greeting. Gym surprisingly not busy during the times it should be busy!!!
