Clean and staff is always nice, but it's probably the worst equipped PF I've been to and I travel for work, so I've been to quite a few. They don't have multiple pieces of equipment others have always had and don't have anything but a hack squat for new equipment that others have been adding over the last year or so. Unfortunately, it's the closest to home for me so I'm kind of stuck with it.

My gym closed and was up against it with a dearth of gyms in this area and I really didn’t want to try planet fitness because I like powerlifting and strongman stuff.
Keep that in mind going forward. So as much as I hate to admit this, especially as the dedicated lifter, but this planet fitness is excellent. The newly added hack squat is phenomenal. The little palm swells on some of the handles are really nice.
I’d really like to see a unilateral low row for the back but beggars can’t be choosers. Overall, this place is better than expected.

Worst part is how crowded it gets but I can’t get too upset about that. People improving themselves is what it’s all about.

Well done PF. I can’t say this is the places to be to compete in powerlifting or strongman. But you can get a lot accomplished here.

(But definitely remove the nonsensical lunk alarm 😇)

I don’t have any issues with any of the locations I visited so far.
I only wish there were more personal trainers for those of us who don’t have the knowledge and experience to use the machines. The ratio of trainer to members for each session is too high.

I’ve scoped out several PF locations in the area, and this one was by far my favorite. The gym is exceptionally clean, and the equipment is newer and in better working condition than most others I’ve visited. A few bonus points: they have that new hip thrust machine, and I’m 99.9% sure I spotted a hack squat machine too. Just extra brownie points (;

I’ve since moved back to Florida, but yesterday I was dealing with an issue my new PF couldn’t resolve. They suggested I call my old location and I’m so glad I did. The facility itself is decent and has plenty of equipment. Unfortunately the blonde girl at the front desk SUCKS. She treats you like you’re stupid and simply doesn’t care about any concerns. She wouldn’t give my husband a member card for scanning because they “only have so many”. He tried using the wifi to download the app and it wasn’t working. Instead of just giving him a card she condescendingly said “do you need me to show you how to connect to wifi”…. Being treated like an idiot right off the bat wasn’t an ideal start to our first visit.

Went yesterday because our gym was having some electricity issues. I like our planet fitness but this one is great. Friendly staff, very clean. New lights in the tanning beds. Update, this facility is usually very good except this time of year, and that’s not unusual to this facility it’s kinda universal in the gym world, it’s the season of hope and fitness until about April 1 I guess, I notified the front desk about someone on a machine I wanted to use and was waiting patiently for but it appeared he was glued to it from 3:15 to 3:33 when I told the attendant he did 3 sets of 6 sets it takes about 20 seconds per set for 1 min working out of at least 18/19 min sitting on it watching stuff on his phone, the response was that’s not bad and the problem was me, so I left, and there you have it. I did not want to escalate because this is the no judgement zone and so I guess squatters rights or finders keepers prevail over those who are there to actually use the equipment and keep it moving.

Update, facility is open it’s beautiful inside I have been at this for 50+ years In gyms of all sizes and intensity and this facility being new and very well conceived is one of the best and for the money it is the best. Matrix the equipment mfg has out smarted it self as some of its newer equip designs are not as good as some previous generations IMHO but to each his own. Time will tell how it works with peak hours but for a day one opening that was long anticipated it is all any human being could ever want or need to improve their health at a ultra fair price, all you have to do is bring the effort and consistency. I look forward to utilizing this facility often.

I love this gym, it’s been my main gym the moment it open up. The gym its self is wonderful. Employees are nice and always say hi and goodbye to you. I absolutely love this gym. Perry in particular, is always very friendly, professional, and welcoming. He even knows me by name and I have only been a member for less than a year. The other staff also echos on Perry’s behaviors and they always do an excellent job of keeping the gym clean and organized. The locker room is always neat and smells like it has just been cleaned. I honestly love this gym, and the staff has made a big impact on why I have been so consistent in my workouts. They make me feel welcomed and comfortable. During a short stay at Charlotte i signed up with Planet fitness in Mt Holly Charlotte and i am a resident of GA. I am a Sr Citizen- Sliver sneakers 👟 The front desk at Charlotte enrolled me, and it was understanding that planet Fitness will be 100% direct billing, with the insurance for my membership. The front desk lady took my credit card saying they like to keep it for incidental expenses like food and bottled water etc

I just noticed that the insurance paid Basic and the planet Fitness without notifications charged me the difference to my credit card.

I was furious and I called and they said a refund is not possible. However they made me an ordinary member. This means I now can go only to one center - Mt Holly Charlotte. Cannot use the one any other place including GA .

I am traveling for important hardship and back in Sept. They said to me the only way to cancel membership is go back to Charlotte . It was my worst experience of life after becoming Sr Citizen 🙃 😪

This was my 1st time at this location. Friendly, helpful staff, clean, new equipment and especially enjoyed Black card section. Very zen and relaxing. Also liked the added coaches and office desk space for remote workers.

i enjoy this location. Signed up for stretching classes and that was easily the most pathetic “class” I’ve attended. One guy came out of nowhere.
