As a brand new gym goer, I love almost everything about Planet Fitness! I loved the friendly staff, the constant cleanliness, the QR codes that show you what to do with the machines, and the friendly atmosphere. Your facility is Clean, Neat, well laid out.My wife and I especially love the 30 minute workout room, and the other room next to it (the grey room). I love all your endless "cardio equipment".....We are now Fans of Planet Fitness.The only suggestion I can make:Your dispensers for hand cleansing are usually "empty", and there is a need for more of them. When I am in the 30 minute room, I have to walk to another part of the gym to use one, and it's always empty. I then have to walk all the way to the front door, which is how far apart they are.And, disinfectant wipes are far more functional than the "paper towels and squirt bottle"....I know that costs you money, but those paper towels are worthless.
Your club is everything my wife and I want for health, wellness and a complete workout facility. The manager of the club we go to is a big part of why we love going to that specific location. His name is Braylon Harrison. He keeps that club spotless. He is always walking around to make sure everything is working properly, and he is always friendly and available to answer any questions anyone might have.
I have owned numerous business's during my lifetime, and I can tell you that people like Braylon are rare. I have employed more than 200 people in my career and I know a good person when I see them. He is so focused on doing the best he can do, which is reflective of the environment and the attitude of all the other employees.
Cream rises to the Top, and Braylon Harrison is a True Gift to all of us and to Planet Fitness.

New Review 7/1/25. We continue to love your club but we do not like all the high school kids working out. They use their cell phones while working out and take forever to get through their sets. They do not wipe down the equipment or care about how long it takes them to work out. It's frustrating for people like us, who like to use the 30 minute room as it is designed. We will be very glad when school starts again. Our suggestion is that if you want to offer High school kids use of your gym, make special times for them to come so that us, your regular members, will be able to come when they are not there.

This was almost a 5 star location, if you had more than 1 person here you could have been a 5 star , the part about more cardio that weights is all PFs , I do like the wall clock , I wish they were in all PFs I would leave my phone in the locker. Most equipment was in good shape, I saw nothing broke. The chair is always a welcome end to my workout. The person at the counter was doing her best and was very pleasant considering she was doing everything. Not enough lifting equipment. 2/3 of the gym is just cardio machines but if your coming to lift weights most of your workout will probably be awkwardly looking for something else to do while waiting on even one of the machines to open up. Other than that all the equipments in new good condition. The gym is also open 24 hours multiple days a week so you could always get a spooky 3 am workout to avoid the issue with the lack of lifting equipment.

Where do I start? I was so excited. I walked in to join the Planet Fitness in my local area and I stood patiently waiting for somebody to acknowledge and ask me if I needed any help. On Wednesday afternoon, I took my child to your place for an on-site check, but I had a very unpleasant experience. Perhaps I was unlucky enough to encounter an unprofessional employee with a poor attitude. Perhaps luckily also, the problems with the gym were exposed in advance, avoiding the unpleasant experience after applying for a membership card.

I really enjoy going to this gym. It’s large with lots of cardio options I never see even half full—maybe a third? Lots of weight options including a 30 minute area that’s smaller and for me feels less intimidating and an easy simple circle of machines. I also enjoy the extras for some members that includes massage chairs, hydro massage beds, red light therapy, and a couple other things. Highly recommend. I see all ages and abilities here and the front staff is super nice.

My pet peeve is that I signed up for this location when they were open 24 hours a day. This location closes at 10pm on Fridays and 7pm on Saturdays and Sundays. I can't typically work out until past 8pm most nights which limits my hours.

The whole franchise does not fulfill the PF promise of access and experience. I would go anywhere else if I were someone looking for a gym membership.

I called to change the club from another place to here because I moved house even though the phone was hard to hear but he was very patient and understanding and he waited for me to come and then solved the problem very quickly. I go to this gym regularly and I know that generally Planet Fitness as a brand kind of gets a bad rap in the gym community for being the “Walmart” of gyms, but I don’t think it applies here. At this PF, the staff is very welcoming but also is very relaxed it won’t get mad over basic things. The atmosphere is nice, with both body builders as well as the average Joe just trying to stay fit getting along well. Never had any issues here, and the gym is always fresh and clean. Would definitely recommend, especially for novice lifters! There is a wide variety of equipment as well as A LOT of cardio equipment

100%my honesty. Pros are usually not too busy, chill staff, semi clean. Cons as you can see in all these pictures as of very recent there are numerous machines that have rips in them which can cause infections. Also there are a few machines out of order due to most likely the entitled rich parents kids coming in there and not giving a damn. It is ballentyne so it’s expected smh. People usually mind their own business and people are pretty cool usually. There’s times it is a little hotter then it needs to be in there. Bathrooms for the most part are sorta clean. Men’s rooms smells like body Oder at times. One of the faucets in the men’s room has been broken for 4 months now. Sometimes the paper towels are empty so it gets annoying. If they can fix these things it would be a very good planet fitness. Time will tell.

Can we get exercise equipment beyond the basic??? I mean, it's planet fitness. For the price, and if you actually use it, it's worth its weight in gold-your health is everything. There are plenty of other gyms, but they're also priced like a car note. I am here visiting my daughter. I have a gym membership with another facility that doesn’t have any locations outside of Charleston. I joined PF with the thought of using their gym when I visit. I went to this location today. I was impressed with the gym overall. I was not too impressed with the idea of the Manager coming to disturb my workout to tell me my gym bag was not allowed.
I gym daily, and everything I need to have a successful workout is in my bag. Upon entering the facility I saw no signage stating gym bags were not welcome. When I checked in the young lady at the desk didn’t say anything. She even took my picture because I literally just signed up yesterday. I was in there for a good two hours before my workout was ruined. I will say I do respect their policy. I don’t like it. But I respect it. If I wasn’t told I couldn’t have my gym bag I would have rated this facility five stars.☺️

2/22/24: Reviews Work and credit for where credit is due!!! No longer the dirtiest, most broken gym I've ever seen!!! All cable machines are back up and most of the cardio and treadmill machines are back online! I can tell there was some massive cleaning, but still seeing little human hairballs rolling around. I've been going to this gym, at least 5x/wk for the past two years. The gym has gone considerably downhill over the past 6 months - from a maintenance perspective, and it makes me upset to see.

Either all their vacuums are broken or the staff doesn't use them. The amount of hair "tumbleweeds" floating around the entire place is disgusting. You really don't want anything to come in contact with their floor at this point. I may honestly offer to chip in and help vacuum next time I visit, pro bono. What's going on here??? Happy to start posting pictures of this, but I'll probably get flagged as "inappropriate" since it's truly disgusting. It's gross and comical to track some of the dirt piles and watch as they move around the facility day after day.

Ps - Can maintenance fix the roughly 50% of treadmills that are "down for maintenance"? It's gotten so bad, they're just photocopying the "out of order" signs because so much equipment is broken. What's going on here?

This is a good planet fitness location. I’ve been to several all over the country. It does get a little busy but that’s not within their control so I’m not sure why people are leaving negative reviews for a busy gym when it’s a chain-operation in a highly populated area.

The staff is very friendly, very knowledgeable trainer, and enough equipment to get you through. I will also say the gym go-ers here are very nice, most people are fairly polite and will let you work in with them if it does get busy.

First you get what you pay for. Mitch is great. Other than that, needs a new staff that works instead of sitting on the counter, listening to music, scrolling on their phones with hoodies over their heads and not doing their job. No one there rovers and keeps members in check. Too many people on their phone. Too many people not putting equipment away and cleaning up after themselves. They’ll be a person yapping as loud as can be on a phone and the staff completely ignores them. On the weekends, forget it. It’s a mess and don’t be surprised when the bottles and paper towels are empty to clean up. It’s gone down hill since Kayden left.

Great facility - Very Clean and the Staff was extremely nice an helpful. I travel and use facilities with my black card around the US.
