Quit. Not too crowded. Gets the job done. Massage chairs and beds. Tanning. Diverse. Staff can be uptight at times, real sticklers. And then sometimes, they are the coolest on the planet. They rarely allow outside equipment on the premises which can be a bummer but I understand. Outside of that, I enjoy my membership

I was told that my membership would only cost me $10 per month when I signed up over two years ago with no hidden fees nor false agendas and this was a complete lie. After a year of my membership, they bumped my cost up to $29.99 per month with no notification via email nor phone call of the price change. It was said that my membership would go up after a while in my contract but after reading the entire thing there was no such indication at all. I tried to cancel my membership all together and they will not allow me to do so. I was told that it couldn't be done over the phone even though they've verified that this is me with my personal information to shut down the account. I am no longer in the state of North Carolina to come in and physically shut it down so now they continue to bill me every month for over $30 for a membership I'm not longer using. Customer service was of no help and I was told to write a certified letter (yet again asking for more money) to verify my identity to shut down the account but that's no different from a simple phone call. I would not recommend signing up for a membership with this company. The commercials they show are false advertisement for prices that aren't even available for a membership. You'll come out better at another gym for fitness.

Staff here is always polite. Greg (General Manager) is a very helpful guy, but the ownership group has invested very little in this place since it opened in April 2010. Treadmills and Elliptical Machines are in need of replacement/refurbishing.

I enjoy this place. Friendly staff that remembers me and my boyfriend every time we come in. A lot of equipment so you don’t have to wait your turn. And it is open 24 hours which is a plus.

I would not recommend this facility. They are nice to you if you want to join but then after that they could care less. I was charged a $39 annual fee when I cancelled my membership and they would not refund it and were very rude about it. Very poor management.

This gym is disgusting. The equipment is old and dirty. I was going to work out and shower before a meeting, and had to skip the shower because the locker rooms were so dirty. I didn't feel like walking across the floor and catching something. It's by far the worst Planet Fitness I've worked out at in Charlotte, and it shouldn't even be in the same category as my home club in Mooresville.

Cleanliness... so so.... bathroom is a tad bit on the dirty side in the showers in changing rooms in the mornings... I have been a member of planet fitness for approx. 3 years. I have a membership at the YMCA also. I am SERIOUSLY considering getting rid of this membership. I seriously only keep it due to the fact it is open at 4am when I am up. Here is the latest BS I have heard at this location. They can't turn the channel in the locker room. So ladies, if you go in the morning, while you get ready for work, don't expect to watch the news to be informed of current events, you will be forced to watch TLC, of HGTV... which ever it is... this morning it was a infomercial on a miracle beauty product and a home improvement show. I stopped by the front desk to ask as I heard other ladies complain about the news channel not being on in the locker room as well, and the gentleman at the desk told me, they had no capability to change it their manager Adam had to do it... This is Ridiculous... I think I should just wait for the YMCA to open at 5 am right by my house and get rid of this extra expense.. and say I don't have the capability of paying them $20a month any longer after 3 years... Since the YMCA has the capability of changing the channels in the locker rooms I will go there. Come on planet Fitness think of a better excuse than that. You are losing customers I am not the only one who feels this way.

I love planet fitness as a gym. Only reason I go to this location is because it's close to home and the great South Charlotte location. The only downside of this gym is that cam pared to other Planet fitness around Charlotte are or look newer and renovated. As a millennial I rather go to another location that is more modern and has newer equipment such as South Blvd location. Please consider this review as an opinion to renovate this location because it does not look as appealing as the rest.

Was in area and figured I'd try it and wasn't crowded ether. Layout is different than some of the others I have seen. I never did get names of the two people working there. There was a girl and guy and I'd say late teens to early 20's but very friendly and helpful for a Saturday evening. Some equipment wasn't there that I have seen at other newer locations and I could tell it was an older location but still very clean and up to standards. No judgement zone would agree with all other customers were minding their own and some even said hello which means a lot keeping atompshere good. Only compliant was at end when showering the lighting in shower area is very low I mean very low. Almost to point of taking a shower in the dark and only reason for not 5 star. Otherwise recommed to anyone to try this location.

Great place to work out while I lived there. Signed up for a month-by-month pay type and asked the staff specifically about cancellation policy. I was told I could cancel over the phone, which was nice because I knew I would be moving soon. When it came down to it that wasn't true. I now have to send in a certified letter to cancel my membership because I have moved across the country. I am very annoyed because I was told I could over the phone. Dishonest will come around to kick you in the rear. I even joked with a staff member about the hassle I went through to cancel my LA Fitness membership and was reassured that was not the case at Planet Fitness.

The staff and atmosphere are what you'd expect from a well kept fitness center. Plenty of equipment and locations throughout the Queen city to keep you in shape no matter where u happen to be that day. I work all over Charlotte, so it's very convenient to ALWAYS be less than 10 minutes from ANY PF!!! Theirs NO gym around that gives you unlimited workouts and tanning all for just 20 buckaroos!!!

The worst. Walked in and they didn't have me in the system because I signed up online. Wasn't offered a shirt to begin with. Cancelled less than 10 days after I started because we are moving and they will not give me a refund after the payment was taken yesterday. Called the gym to have a conversation about this and Shaun was more than rude. Asked to speak to management and he let me know he was management and he would be doing nothing but let me know that the payments would no longer be taken now that I've cancelled my membership. Because that was clearly new news to me.

Can't argue with the hours. Best price in town. Clean facility. Nice employees. My only complaint is they don't have free weight barbells. I have to go elsewhere to bench press and decline bench press
