Popped in here while visiting family nearby to stay in my routine. It was packed (compared to my home PF) the morning of Thanksgiving.

The gym was large enough with enough equipment that I still did not have to wait on anything and stick to my normal routine more or less. The environment was motivating with a ton of very fit men and ladies of all ages. Couples and individuals at every stage of life were getting after it!

Restrooms and lockers were clean, staff was extremely friendly, all machinery that I used seemed to be in good working condition and there were lots of free weights and machines alike. Will def be back when in the area.

I really love the gym. I can't say I have ever had any issues. I have always recommended this location. The new workout machines are great. The staff are always so nice as well. My only reason for taking one star is the change in hours. I don't want to change gyms but I need my 4 am time slot to workout. This is my only time I can go prior to work monday through friday. I love going beforehand to start my day. I am going to have to change to another gym to accommodate my schedule. I am sad but I understand they have their reasons for changing hours. As long as you dont need the time frame it has been a great gym otherwise. I will miss it!❤️

The gym is clean and the employees are very friendly and helpful. And the recent replacement of equipment was a great addition, but it has come at the cost of a safe area to do stretching or floor exercises on a mat. What I mean by safe as the open areas were made up of space where there is a wall at your back and doesn't expose users to traffic and the use of free weights that members bring in and sometimes drop. Now there is exercise equipment filling up that space leaving only a small area that is reserved for Black Card

Been a member of planer fitness black card for many years even if I do not use the facility....The only reason was to keep my Account active because they were 24 hrs open and can use anywhere in state , city.....But after I moved to Clemmons, this facility location is not open 24 hrs .....Maybe it's time to cancel the account, paying $300 + yearly $50 or 60 they charged us not worth....

This gym has been my go to for almost two years now, never having an issue the team is friendly it’s usually pretty clean and just a good place to go. Recently I’ve only been going to tan. The stand up beds have bulbs that are dying out but most importantly I went in today and going about my routine and two roaches were on the floor. I killed one unfortunately the smaller one as the much bigger one ran away. I was so grossed out I could not continue my tan. I came out told an employee and she just said okay and then continued doing something else just brushing it off. Very grossed out now.

Excellent gym, very clean and the staff is very professional.
The only drawback is that the staff doesn't monitor the 30 minute workout room the way they say they do. I go in there twice a week at 6am and i haven't seen one staff member walk by. Members casually go in there without an regard to what anybody is doing in there. The staff needs to do a better job monitoring that room.

I joined this Planet Fitness nearly 3 years ago, and I truly feel so at home here! The staff has always been very friendly to me, and the gym is kept incredibly clean. You constantly see employees walking around wiping down machines, restocking paper towels, taking the trash out, etc. I have been to several other Planet Fitness locations and none of them beat this one!

I like this location better than the others around the Winston area. I’ve heard from several people that management might not be the greatest but never had first hand experience with it. Personally the place runs great and everything is in good condition and great representation. I’ve never had any problems. They’re always very helpful and generous. Also even when the parking lot is full it’s never super busy. There’s plenty of space and the jimmers are courteous. Not many creeps and friendly regulars.

This is a good gym for beginners. But if you are serious about fitness, it is not a great gym. The weights don't go very high. The staff told me instead of high weights, they ask me to do lots of reps. They advertise they have a personal trainer. But currently there is no personal trainer. It is reasonably priced.
If you want to start your journey, start here. If you want to go beyond basic level, go somewhere else

Wonderful clean gym but the only 2 rowing machines are under the huge ceiling fans. Your eyes hurt and tear the rest of the day. 🥹 Put 2 of the dozen ellipticals there to give people a choice. At least last year your back got blasted with wind and not your eyes too.

I like planet fitness a lot. The only real downside to this gym are the hours on the weekends. I don’t understand why they can’t be consistent with there hours through the weekend. They close at 7 at night on Saturday and Sunday. This is a problem for me and I’m sure it is for others because I usually don’t go to the gym until around 8pm. I wish that would change.

Initially everything was ok until I was charged $50 when there wasn’t supposed to be a charge at all. Supervisor Jessica went over and beyond to try to quickly rectify the situation while Manager Chris wanted to enjoy his weekend and requested I wait until Monday for a mistake he made. Please train your managers to accept accountability and fix issues that they create when convenient for customers not themselves.

Pretty decent gym for a casual gym-goer, but not ideal for serious weight lifting. The only bad aspect is the weird "no noise" policy that makes it an incredibly awkward environment to workout in, it's more of a library atmosphere than a gym.

The manager Chris is a bully and has in many Occassions harassed my 7 months pregnant wife.
He has little understanding of the rules of the gym and has tried to enforce rules of his own, targeting and intimidating her.
My wife follows a routine when working out which is a military training (a mix of stretch, yoga and light weights) and uses 2 sets of dumbbells at a time. She does not use anything else in the gym (none of the equipments). She keeps it to herself and dont interact much. She is quiet and polite.
Chris in several instances now have stopped her in front of other members and told her she cannot use more than one dumbbell, whereas the rule clearly states that she needs to stack them when she is done (which she promptly does). His interpretation is that she needs to stack them in between every set, which is unpractical and not applied to any other member.
Chris is a bully and should not be a manager of Planet Fitness. We have used gyms all over the world and what is happening is embarrassing to Planet Fitness

Absolutely love this place. I got into fitness a couple months ago and go the black card membership. This has been one of my best gym experiences period. There is a lot of diversity size and skill level wise. They have a dedicated section for core and stretching which as a former dancer I appreciate. Very non judgemental atmosphere. This location has gone downhill. They have changed out much of the cardio equipment and they are clearly old design and used junk.

The equipment doesn’t work well and the ergonomics are worse than what was here before. The design for phone holders and charging ports are clearly old design and do not accommodate new smart phones either.

Up until 3/25/2024 I had always given the gym 5 stars. I had my locker broken into years ago and the staff took such good care of me that day. I'm at the gym 6 or 7 days a week, keep to myself and today out of no where the Assistant Manager got one of her employees to ask me to remove my ear bud to tell me to stop slamming weights. I literally layed both dumb bells on the ground and was in shock that in a judgement free zone she decided not only to single me out, but got someone else to do it, then ran into the bathroom to hide once she saw I was upset. I appreciate Josh trying to regain my business but as long as Alee is on the staff I'll leave my membership canceled. The fact she couldn't come up to me about the weights and ran away screamed how guilty she was. So while she may have put "other" on my cancelation form and "gym equipment" in my wife's, Alee is 100000% the reason we both left. I hope she feels proud of herself and I hope more people find another facility to goto if they support employees like this.

Planet fitness is over charged!!! They charged me for an annual fee of $79 after I paid my dec bill 17 bill. I thought it was my January bill. I walk in to the gym the lady hollered my name and stopped me to say I did not pay my 1/17 bill!!!!! I can not work out until I pay… how embarrassing… first off I’m not even 10 days late and secondly I paid over $100 at planet fitness in one month. I didn’t mind paying it but the approach made me very uncomfortable… immediately left and will never come back.
