As a black card member and a member period with you spending my money nicely I’ve been to many different planet fitness in SC and NC but this one here is totally a headache…. I do content for a living and again I’ve been to many PF and never been treated how I was here I don’t think I’ll ever promote them or tag this gym to workout… I couldn’t enjoy my workout bc they have a manger or team member there nam David or Devin whatever this guy literally harassed me the whole time bc he felt like my selfie stick was in ppl walk way mind you the gym half empty I know and I definitely know how to respect overs while filming not my first rodeo but nevertheless I had to threaten to end membership just to enjoy my workout definitely don’t recommend this gym…. If a GM could reach out to me I’ll definitely appreciate this

I have not had a good experience with the management of this location. One in particular is extremely rude everytime I come in. I watch her be very helpful to someone else and then be extremely rude to me with customers watching. Very poor customer service.

Worst WIFI of any business. It’s a big metal box so cellular service is poor there therefore we rely on their WiFi to stream music. The WIFI signal keeps dropping and some parts of the fitness club are complete dead zones.

I love this place, old school games, staff is super friendly! Lots of options to play, and whilr machines do go put of service ( some of them are 40+ years old) they are rarely down long ... absolute blast, hands down best classic arcade spot in Gastonia

I would have given a 5 but I’m disappointed that the club closes at 7pm on Saturdays and Sundays. The staff is friendly, the club is clean, and there’s always enough equipment. It doesn’t seem like all the TVs are always working and it would also be nice to have the closed captions on to read while you’re doing cardio. Otherwise, it’s definitely worth the money for the quality of the club.

First Planet Fitness to hold their patrons accountable with the franchise’s policies. Even though there isn’t an official policy for utilizing personal gym equipment, it is still a liability issue for the club. Bags are definitely a no go as well because again, it’s a liability issue. This location is always clean and the staff is always respectful and professional.

I utilize the Neil Hawkins area PF and the staff are always helpful and friendly! I love the infrared stand up machine; which I call the "jiggle jiggle" machine because I cannot ever remember its proper name. LOL There's always a piece of equipment available to use without waiting and the gym is so clean which is a really big deal to me. I appreciate it greatly! Thank you PF for all you do!

Joined because of availability of treadmills and 30 minute workout area. Figured I could warm up, and cycle through 4 or 5 machines a couple of times. Be done in an hour. Sadly, nobody follows or enforces the rules in the express section. Either one person camps on a machine, does their 3-4 sets while looking at there phone. Or worse, a group of 2 or more will occupy a machine for 5 or more minutes. Left tonight for this reason. I get it if nobody else is there, but if more than one, the rules should be enforced. If you don't like it, use the same machines out on the floor. I've mentioned this to management before, more than once. Nothing ever changes.

Nice GYM, but some staff , not all but some or unprofessional. They pick and choose people they want to call out, about certain things that can’t wear, but at other times they say nothing at all.

Everyone have their own experiences at this Gym. But this one incident pissed me off. This young lady came in to workout, had been there over 20 minutes before a staff member approached her and told her she couldn’t workout in the shoes she had on. Now these shoes were not opened toed nor flip flops , she had been wearing those shoes on countless other times with that same staff member on duty. In her own words “ I will let it slide this time” meaning what? Now you’re going to be watching her when she comes. Well you probably want have to worry about her coming back, since you made her feel uncomfortable.

I just had my first work out after disappearing for two months. I already knew the staff was friendly from my first few months attending, but the reminder when I came back was something so refreshing after a while. Of course they remembered me, they saw me almost every day when I was originally attending, but it still felt so unexpected and welcoming to have my absence acknowledged and to be welcomed back, from the front desk to the locker rooms while they cleaned. I really needed some friendly faces this month, and this gym gave me that, even when I didn't know I needed it.

I had to edit this review. I had given it a five star but not now. Need to ask people to get off equipment after 20 minutes on there phone and just sitting there. This was reported but nothing was done about it. So I made him get up. Staff must keep a eye on people like this. Also please try to SPEAK AND SHOW YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR JOB. No matter what I'm going to smile and be happy regardless. Some of the staff just act like they are having a bad day.

The young lady who manages this gym is the best and sweetest person. Her outgoing personality and direct manner make me smile every time I walk in the door and she greets and remembers me to stop off here and there while working out to chat with her. She’s very bright for her young age and is certainly a valuable asset to the gym to make that location even more appealing if it would just keep the same hours as the other Gastonia location. The gym is always impeccably maintained with a staff that follow the helpful friendly attitude of the management.

It’s not what you say. It’s how you say it. Typically enjoy the place. Crummy call with an associate this morning. If you’re someone who uses cash app as your primary bank for deposits and work. Heads up they will not work with you on late fees. Regardless if your account is kept in good standing. They don’t care. Worker spoke over me the whole time finally had to say can I speak just to plead my circumstance. To basically be told. I don’t care. Very poor customer service. I’ll finish out the month and cancel my member ship. I never had a problem settling the balance. But you’re not gonna berate me and make statements like “well if you’d have called sooner when you noticed, this has been going on since January” …. Excuse thfck out of me? What merit does that hold. If it’s all paid. And we’re talking about last month and this month? 110% gross customer service. So I called corporate. Settled the debt. And got a gift card for the late fees. And reported the rude employee. Don’t bother calling the club. Call corporate. Or just go in. The cocky rude behavior levels are way less face to face. When you call corporate they will take your complaint. And begin to end the process but if you ask to speak with a supervisor you’ll get some motion.

Never thought I’d be pro corporate over a franchise. But that’s the reality. Corporate has standards. And small franchise have singular owners that are not investing in quality team support.

I am a black card member and due to my hectic schedule I go to nearly all the planet fitness in the greater Charlotte area. With that being said I want to give props to the cleanliness of this one in particular. It seems like every time I go in there is this one employee, Alyssa, cleaning. That’s not to say the other employees don’t, they do a great as well, but she really goes above and beyond! All of the staff there is great, but Alyssa is truly amazing.

This facility charged me an annual fee in March and may. The manager Julie was unapologetic and rude. Told me she had other stuff to do. She refused to give me her manager name because she said she was on pto and she ran that entire club: she then proceeds to hand up on me. I’ve never had any staff there to be rude or unprofessional they way the actual manager was.
