Overall, this place is fine. However, there is a note of caution I didn't bring up until now.

The women's locker room has (at the very least) two broken lockers, and I think there's a reason for that. A substantial number of girls and women that use the locker rooms DO NOT know how to close the locker doors WITHOUT SLAMMING THEM, therefore significantly increasing damage to the facility.

They may not give a shit because it's not their property, but my patience is gone. I have PTSD that is triggered by sudden booming noises, especially noises I cannot see at the time the noise happens. I TRY to not make it anyone else's problem, but because this happens so often, I subconsciously have to expect it so it doesn't hurt as much.

I liked the gym when I was going, about 3 years ago. U especially loved the Whole Body Enhancement machine. Had not heard about red light therapy at the time, but noticed that after using it I had more energy and my mood improved a lot. Had to quit temporarily for personal reasons, but then I went back, mostly for this machine. Got in it, red lights came on for about 5 seconds, then went out and it looked like regular lef lights. I still stayed in and hoped for the best, but I definitely did not feel better after. Told the manager and she said it was working, she saw red light come on. I took her back to machine and showed her that it cut off almost immediately. Didn't seem like this was going to be fixed, so I quit. Would love to rejoin, but only if the whole Body Enhancement red lights actually work, and it would be helpful if staff knew how to work it so they could explain it to guests. There are no instructions for this machine posted anywhere.

Today I was at this Goldsboro location and watched a lady (patron) yelling and cursing at another lady (patron) in front of the desk workers. The staff didn't intervene or call the police (even when asked by the patron who was being verbally assaulted). This even escalated to racial comments. Afterwards, I was told this was due to the lady making a complaint. A staff told the patron the woman's name and pointed her out. Seriously? So staff instigated a potential physical fight between a couple people just trying to get their workout in! This is not the environment I like to work out in.

Memorial Day - close at 1pm… why were the lights shut off at 12:55pm WHILE people are still squatting and lifting? A blonde girl walks up, lets me know it’s about to close, cool, look down to see 5 minutes left. I can get my last 2 sets in… nope. Lights shut off while I’m in the middle of my second set. I see feet as I’m doing reverse hypers and a girl telling me they’re closed and to get out immediately. So now I’m in pitch dark in the back of the gym trying to maneuver a 60 pound weight back to the rack in the dark. Real safe, Planet Fitness. Do better.

I just wish PF had a policy where if you're going to just sit and play on your phone or carry a conversation, do it away from the machines. I waited 45 minutes for the leg press, leg curl, hack squat to open up and the same people stayed at these machines the entire time. Got half my workout in and finally just gave up. All for people trying to better themselves but be considerate that others may want to do the same and not wait for you to do talk

IT'S OVERCROWDED!!! Way too many people after 5:00 p.m. and the crowd meter on the app doesn't work properly apparently because it always says the gym is barely half full at most, when in reality nearly every machine is taken. There's always something broken, and there's only two toilets for a gym with over 100 people in it. And because there's so many people, the air conditioning can't keep up. Really the only good thing is the price.

Friendly staff and they do a great job at keeping it clean. Everyone seems to follow gym etiquette which is nice as well. The one thing that me and several other members can’t agree with is how close the leg press and lat pull down machine are in the yellow room. It’s been this way as long as I can remember. I’ve talked to other members who feel like they can’t use one if someone is on the other because of how close they are. The latt pulldown machine goes right into the space of the person on the leg press machine. I wish they would reconfigure this as there is plenty of room to fix it and i’m not the only one who has noticed this

Filthy gym, the locker room smelt strongly of marijuana and there was a used tampon thrown on the shower floor in the women’s locker room… If I’m paying for a service I expect the gym to be at least clean. The showers are almost always cold as well, so disappointing.

I loved how helpful the two front people were when my partner and I stopped by. I'm a black-card member and I love the hydro chairs. The person helping me get set up was very kind to let my partner try the hydro chair. We both needed those massages after moving for 12 hours!!! I gave Planet Fitness of Goldsboro a rating of a 10 for two reasons. One reason for this rating is because I really enjoy the employees at Planet Fitness as they are so friendly and ready to assist should the need arise. As a team, the employees appear to enjoy their jobs and seemingly get along really well with each other. I believe their positivity spills over into the atmosphere for its members… a win-win situation for everyone. An additional reason for my positive PF rating is bc the various equipment seems more accessible than previously. My Planet Fitness experience is great! I have been going for a year now and I am enjoying it because it is big and has a lot workout equipments to use. I also like that Planet Fitness is cheap and I pay for my classic membership every month on the 17. I strongly recommend Planet Fitness!!

If you going to be open late night then have someone at front desk at all times not when they want to be went on 6/09/24 and wanted to use the aquatic bed and stood at the front desk for 15 minutes and left cause nobody came to help me and I pay that price monthly if it happens again I will call corporate and not go to this one again

LOVE PF! Folks are very nice, interior is comfy and spacious, and the equipment is regularly cleaned and organized. Been going to PF for about 6 months and have lost 90+ lbs(so close to 100! Lord Willing!🤞🙏)

My only gripe (a small one) is that I wish lockers here had built in combination locks; like various PFs up north that I've worked out in. Just remember to bring a lock with you and you're good to go! 👍

I had a bad experience last night. A certain race is over populated here, and I had 2 men make me feel very uncomfortable while working out. Theu continued to stare and look me up and down, I almost complained to staff it was so obvious and uncomfortable. I almost had someone walk me to my car, but instead ran. It should not be this way in a gym. I will speak up next time they should be asked to leave, this should be
a safe zone.

This is your typical Planet Fitness. Staff seems friendly so far. Lots of work out options. We enjoy using the 30 minute room. Some days are busier than others. Please fix the stair climber machines. Some machines are limited. They have 4 stair climber machines & 2 of them were down for about 4 months. It's difficult to use them when 1/2 are inoperable. It's also very frustrating when it seems like the owner doesn't care enough to keep things working. There are lots of rude people who occupy machines & use their phones more than they exercise. Staff should monitor this more closely.

I don’t even know when I supposedly signed up for this. I do know I have NEVER used it. Today, they took $89 out of my account siting “late fees”. So if a person has clearly NEVER used your services, how did you all decide to go in today and take so called late fees?! So clearly I wasn’t paying or using them. But in today’s economy, you decide to steal money out of someone’s account and then try to “justify” it by talking about some frikin late fees?! I will NEVER use your services and I wouldn’t recommend you to my worse enemy!

Will try to rob you whenever they can. Got charged 3 late fees despite my account and routing numbers being connected. Was told I was charged the late fee because my account number wrong. When I showed them they clearly have my account number because they just pulled out $40.05 from my account, I was told that they pulled it off my card when they couldn't pull from my account, a card which had been expired for months, so how can that work? Then I was told that they never pulled out of my account despite showing the assistant manager my account they did infact take my money. How's the old saying go? "Don't piss on my back and tell me it's raining." Needless to say, after I'm done with the year contract, I'm done with planets fitness.

(In reply to the owner): I want to clarify that this is not a staff issue and has nothing to do with how I was treated by the staff. The staff tried to help me with the best of their ability. This is a someone keeps stealing money from me issue. Also I've already wasted the time of sending an email to customer support before and that's when I was initially told my account number was wrong on my account. Still trying to figure out how you can have my wrong account information but still take money out of my account, kinda seems impossible.

All the planet fitness employees at the Goldsboro, NC location do a great job. They greet every member and are very knowledgeable about the gym and equipment. The gym is always clean and equipment is in very good condition. Shout out to Rossell, he makes everyone feel like family. I started with the $10 membership and took advantage of the Black card promotional emails...I was hooked! Upgraded to take advantage of the spa and discounts.
