I enjoy this gym I think it has the least amount of creepy onlooking men. It has the widest variety of machines out of all the planet fitness that I've been to, it's large, clean, and the staff is attentive. Nice side of town as well, variety of shops, a grocery store, and restaurants in the same walking strip, Little Gym is also on the same strip so you can enroll your little ones if you need them occupied while you work out 🤗🩷
Also a pilates studio and boxing club, so cute a whole variety in comfortable walking distance.

I’ve been going to this location for years. Sign up was easy, I was given all the information I needed to make an informed decision about joining, the staff always make an effort to greet you as you come in and out, the gym is exceptionally clean and almost every time I am at the gym someone is cleaning the locker rooms. My only complaint, and the fact that I’m giving this four instead of five stars, is that a little while ago I wanted to get a massage. They recently upgraded their massage chairs, and they lean really far back, like a bed… I also use the tanning beds a lot. So I said, “hello! May I please use one of the NEW massage BEDS, that’s NOT the water one?” And the guy, who id never seen working there before, said “you mean the massage chais?” And I said, “the ones without water, yes” and he said again, “you mean the massage chairs? Young lady, they’re called massage chairs not massage beds.” And so on.
Out of all the years I’ve gone there, I’ve received great service, and when this new person came along, first time I ever had someone try to pick a fight with me over the name of a chair. I specified not the water one, and he could have inferred that I meant the only other one that wasn’t water based. Casually correcting someone in a conversation like, “no problem! I’ll put you on massage CHAIR 6!” Is fine, it’s great. That’s a good example of decent customer service. Getting upset with a paying customer using manners like “please” and “May I” over nothing, is not great. If I was having a good day I would have shrugged it off, but I was having a bad day and just not in the mood for sass from a stranger😂 otherwise, 10/10. Love the people, love the location, always very clean and tidy. Highly recommend

A True Judgement Free Zone

I can't say enough good things about Planet Fitness in Greensboro! From the moment you walk in, you feel genuinely welcomed. The staff here truly goes above and beyond to make your experience positive. I recently bought a new analog lock, and a gentleman at the front desk (I really wish I'd caught his name!) patiently showed me how to use it.

He must have demonstrated it ten times until I was completely comfortable and familiar with the mechanism. That's a level of personalized customer service you just don't find everywhere, and it made a huge difference for me.

Beyond the incredible staff, the facilities themselves are top-notch. The changing rooms are always spotless, and the showers are equally clean and well-maintained, which is a huge plus after a good workout. They have a fantastic selection of great equipment to get a comprehensive workout in, and everything appears to be well-maintained and in working order.

My only minor suggestion for improvement would be to expand their free weight section slightly. It would be incredibly beneficial if they could add 35lb and 40lb kettlebells. Having those intermediate options would really help members progress with their kettlebell exercises and provide more versatility for various routines.

Overall, this Planet Fitness location is fantastic. It's clean, the atmosphere is incredibly friendly and welcoming, the equipment is excellent, and the staff's dedication to helping members is truly outstanding. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great gym experience!

Swaths of cardio equipment, often sparsely used
Very little free weights. You have dumbbells often with some competition for 20, 25, 30 pounds; and a few smith machines (usually a wait for one) and kettlebells. It is frustrating to have a sea of unused cardio equipment while half the people in the gym compete for limited dumbbells and smith machines. Management, take a cue as to what people want. I know the PF vibe is not heavy free weights but there is a clear imbalance between supply and demand

Cons:
Despite signs not to, the mens' locker room and bathroom are typically filled with teen to 20s people flexing in the big mirrors while they take smartphone photos and videos. Unfortunately the bathroom mirrors are right across from the urinals and I have had to confront people (even this week) to stop photographing me while I am urinating. PF management, please get RID of the big mirrors in the mens locker/bathroom and install small face only mirrors above the sinks. These guys will not comply with your sign, and it is obnoxious
Some people camp on the smith machines while they check tiktok or their instagram reel for 30 minutes, or bring dumbells and do sets of curls or other while sitting in the frame of the smith machine. I understand many are beginners and don't understand gym etiquette. Please put up a sign next to every smith machine encouraging users to put their phones away and finish their set

Water and fountains tastes and smells horrible, plus I usually take a shower each time I go to any planet fitness, but this one in particular was full of black hair, I also noticed when i got to the gym I enter the women locker room in the shower there was someone with a walker full of smelly stuff.. I thought when I finished my workout she will be gone but after an hour and 30 minutes she was still there.. I asked the front desk to go check but they said she was a regular and that there was no smell. So literally they told me I was lying without telling me I was lying.. why would I lye about something like that?? I asked also the front desk if they are not going to be cleaning the showers at least put a bottle with disinfectant and paper towels to wipe the bathroom before use… I don’t think they would take that into consideration either but anyway luckily for me there are more locations available around so I will need not coming back to this one again.
Do not recommend people to come here for showers or if you have other complaints because they won’t be doing anything.☹️

I travel from east to west, north and south as well as in between states. Planet fitness is my go to being on the road to work out and showering. All bathrooms aren't created equal in my current profession.

I was in town visiting my mom and was looking for a place to workout for a free pass while being here. As I enter the building the young lady Taylour at the front desk didn’t greet me and was not friendly. I had high expectations when coming in that possibly I would join, but upon asking question about membership she wasn’t inviting. I honestly didn’t like this atmosphere she created. Will not join. It's so CLEAN! I love all the choices of weight machines, and the stretching and ab section is my favorite. And I love the unlimited massages and tans that are included in the black card membership. The regular massage chairs are nice but the Hydromassage loungers are game changers...I can't get up from it right away because of the lovely "high" it gives me. I feel like a million bucks after a workout and hydromassage. AND I can get a quick tan whenever I want?! I love this gym!

The worst experience ever! Do not go here. My very first time coming to the gym as a paying customer with anxiety and depression. My gym buddy was turned away for no valid reason and he was not allowed to work out with me because he used to work there. Due to medical reasons he had to quit and the manager Cory dismissed my gym partner and said that he could never work out there again. So we left and went to another location with no problem. 1/10 recommend. Terrible nice nasty customer service.
