From what I’ve seen and also heard from other members, most of the staff at this Planet Fitness location are very kind, welcoming, and helpful — except for one front desk staff member. She is consistently rude, dismissive, and refuses to assist with even the simplest questions. Multiple people, including friends of mine, have had the same negative experience. It’s disappointing because she does not reflect the friendly and judgment-free environment that Planet Fitness is supposed to represent. Me and my friends will not be returning back to this establishment.

I've recently purchased a black card membership for planet fitness and have been going to multiple gyms in Greensboro. Today I attempted to go into PF with a guest and I wasn't sure on how the guest feature worked, so I just signed in and continued walking before I was stopped by John. He said I needed to sign her up as well, which is fine, but then he continued to say "I'm sure we've had this conversation before" and this was my first time even bringing a guest to this location. I quickly corrected him and let him know that he was confusing me with someone else, and then he didn't apologize for the mix up and condescension. He gave me complete wrong directions on how to set up the profile, and was watching and monitoring us the entire time. As my guest and I were walking in, he didn't greet us but continued to greet other guests while he was watching us without providing any assistance. I proceeded to go to the Battleground location and was greeted by a much friendlier crowd. There is no reason for a worker to treat guests like this, and I'm disappointed and disgusted by his unprofessional behavior. I will not be attending this location again

Come here for the overall selection of equipment, though it does tend to get a bit crowded especially in the post work evening time slot.

Even though it's not as big as some of the other locations it's very well organized and the layout is it easy to work out in, in my opinion.
My only issue is with the entrance side windows that have no blinds or screening applied to the windows. Anybody who's trying to work in the functional area, not to mention the staff working at the front desk gets baked by the evening sun.

The remainder of the gym is quite well air-conditioned, especially around the cardio equipment where they have colossal fans working all day long.

I'm very upset they will not refund my $49 fee. I have never stepped foot in their facility and never wanted to renew any membership and be charged anymore fees. These people have gotten free money from me for a whole year, I called Monday after seeing a pending charge for $49 and the girl I spoke to told me to go online to cancel I also I thought it meant being refunded the $49 but after speaking to the manager today he keeps saying I can't get it back because I didn't request to cancel a week in advance. These places can really rip you off.

03.29.25. My planet fitness took away my fave machines when they added in all that heavy lifting equipment! 3 of the ab machines are gone I used and feel like there’s not many options when it’s ab day, they took the 30 min workout room away! It sucks! Golden gate I come to cause I live closest too but upgraded to the $20 so I can use the high point gym or battleground because they still have the equipment I love to use! I also agree with Kristine’s review about how some of the equipment is not good for shorter woman, some of the equipment she mentioned I have the same issue with as far as reaching! I took a pic yesterday how I’m so short and can’t even reach the top of ab machine! I wouldn’t shower here either! Water is cold!

7-21-2024. Been a member since 2017. Just upgraded. Planet fitness has helped me reach my goals many times. yesterday when I came back after two weeks gone, the weights got a huge upgrade and got me so excited and motivated to start back. I’m so sad to see some of the machines I loved to use gone, but I love the new hip thrust machine. I like how it counts my time and the number I’m on. Now there six smith machines so that’ll help with the wait time, there’s also been added four hip add/abductor machines and they are interchangeable. It’s so great!!! Hopefully no more long waits on that. Also I think they need more cleaning stations. Sometimes you’ll look all around for one and then it will be empty!

If you plan on showering here, DO NOT! Unless you like showering in cold to luke warm water. Apparently, they know there is an issue, but the manager hasn't gotten it fixed. Also, you can only buy certain tanning lotions bc some bottles aren't in the computer with a price, that was also disappointing. That's sad. I went to the Golden Gate location for the first time on Black Friday. The front desk was super nice and helpful. Some of the new equipment however, is lacking for the shorter women like me at 5 ft 0 inches in height. Two of the leg machines were issues for me. The glute kick machine at the lowest and closest adjustment still has me standing tip toe, unlike the other glute machine at the Battleground location. Also, the machine where you work the inside of your leg muscles right near the glute machine does not allow for a seat adjustment to get closer. Was the fact that small petite women will work out not considered when getting these machines? Finally, the treadmill at the highest incline of 15 causes some of the televisions to be partially blocked while I was working out. None of this is an issue at the battleground location. Thank you!

The staff at this location are very friendly and on a hole it is a great Judgement Free Zone. I feel very comfortable here but I am getting very angry with the clients being disrespectful to others using the equipment.I joined because of the 30 minute workout in which I have not once been able to do. The machines are used like all the others so no such thing as the 30 minute workout. I realize we may need our cellphones but why sit on a machine and stay on your phone while others are waiting. Gym is clean locker room and showers are clean. Staff needs to leave the desk and supervise the gym use more.

The showers were certainly lacking. In fact they barely got more than luke warm. The number of different workouts was also very limited. I will say though, the staff members, and I met them in 2 consecutive shifts, were very friendly and helpful. They had great attitudes and made me feel great when I first walked in to the door and the times I left and returned!!!!

I have been going to this Planet Fitness for 2 years, it has everything you need to get your workout in. Unfortunately they took away the preacher curl machine, but added a couple more smith machines. Overall pretty good gym.

Joined a little over a month ago and am having no regrets for the most part. Am fairly new to the lifting scene but the PF environment is super chilled and I am yet to experience any unpleasantness from fellow gym goers. It's never terrible busy when I go during the week but finding an open Smith machine or bench is often a challenge, it would be great if they would take away a row of treadmills and add more (most of the cardio equipment is never in use anyways). The staff is however friendly and do a good job at keeping the facility clean.

Very convenient location and price for a well kept facility. It would have been nice to get a tour after I joined or even talk to people about a fitness plan or training. My first check in was met with indifference and I had to navigate everything on my own. I’ve never had such a jarring experience when first joining a gym and it made me hesitant to stay. But I’ll stick it out because I have very specific weight and composition goals to meet.

If you have the hack squat or smith machine in your split don’t even waste your time. I’ve been coming to this location for months and I can count on one hand how many times I haven’t waited on a smith machine. However, if I had a dollar for every time all of the smiths were taken by people sitting on their phones hogging that machines I could probably build my own gym. I would’ve given this location a 1 star but the staff is so friendly and I always see people cleaning no matter what time I go. It’s a great location for cardio lovers but anything else don’t bother.

This is the worst gym. I was a loyal customer to Golds Gym and was able to cancel my membership with no problem. I have been calling for over a year because I am no longer able to attend the facility and it was done with no issues. Planet Fitness only cares about money I have asked for my membership to be refunded since I have not attend the gym in over a year. I was told that a hold would be put on to my account and my account was still swiped. The GM decided to cancel my membership after receiving free hundreds from me and refuses to my money. I am a single mother of 4 and the refuse to refund my money. I already was not satisfied with the facility as a whole because it does give you many different options but this just adds to why I will never return here. They are only in it for the money and they lie and say they put a hold and they still take your money.

I don’t know this new girl at the front desk is but her name is Alexis and she caused an issue for no reason. I asked to tan and she asked to see my eye wear. I showed her my Podz Eye wear stickers that Planet Fitness sells. She looks at them like she isn’t going to accept them as eye wear, and actually grabs some goggles like she’s about to ask me to buy them. Another girl then points to the box of the stickers like I have and then the first girl finally asks me if I wear the stickers. Why are you interrogating me? I showed you my eyewear so what’s the problem? Guess it’s time to find a new gym.
