Just stopped in my first time and asked for assistance on machines. The two juveniles at the counter were arguing and laughing over who was going to help me. I left. Decided their behavior was unacceptable and I must say after I spoke to assistant manager Elijah and explained the situation he was not too happy. He had the manager Bailey call me and we discussed the issue. She said she will handle it. I do appreciate the effort that was made to discuss my issue and resolve it so i am changing my rating. Initially, I was happy when I signed up as the employees on that day were very nice.

So today I was told to leave, that I could not work out. Due to the fact that I was wearing jeans. Never did I know that this was part of the policy bc I have worn jeans mutiple times and nothing was ever said to me.

As a father of 4, gym time is a hard thing to find. There are times that I only have 30 mins to get a workout in before picking up the kids from school/daycare...or whenever. Today was one of those days. I had 30 mins to workout real quick before picking up our 3 year old from daycare. I was going to be in and out.

Now, I have been going to planet fitness for years and have been in the gym since I was 16 (27 years). Im no amature. Im not going to cause damage to any equipment.

Before I was able to get to my first set, I was told to leave. Not, this is the policy, we understand Sir, finish your workout, and not jeans next time.....NOPE. "this is the policy, you cannot workout".

I then went on to cancel my membership. Throughout this process, the young man behind the desk, smiled! Never said "we are sorry, what can we do to keep you here" NOTHING!! Just smiled and said "well you have until the end of the month to use your membership". Never once looked me in the eye. NOTHING!!

Terrible experience! My daughter’s account was not cancelled as it should have been. I went in to cancel with her in June. She was billed over and over. I called 5 times a manager never called me back. Called again yesterday and spoke to Marquis he was extremely rude hung up on me so I went in and he had the audacity to laugh in my face and said I was being hostile. He was completely disrespectful and arrogant. Told me he would not help to step aside . He would not call a regional manager. I have never ever had such a terrible experience with a so called manager. What a joke.

All Planet Fitness gyms charge same fees and the equipment at this gym is the worst I have ever seen at any gym!! The owner of the gym is making $$$ hands over fists because they are not putting revenue into the equipment! Also, members are being ripped off having to use broken, worn out equipment, compared to every PF Gym I go to. The majority of the equipment is dangerous. Rubber peeling, foam picked away as a toddler would do, weight pins unattached, seats rocking and uneven, screws missing on added weight knobs. Someone will get hurt!! I don’t understand how this place passes the Planet Fitness franchise check lists but I intend to find out!

I usually love PF, but this location isn’t it. The front desk staff here has the worst energy I’ve ever experienced at a gym. Every time I walk in, they look like they absolutely hate their jobs and can’t wait for the day to be over. When they do speak to you, it’s in a low murmur that’s barely audible like they can’t be bothered to actually interact with members. It comes off as dismissive and just plain disrespectful. A gym should feel welcoming, not like you’re inconveniencing the people who work there. On top of that, the manager came up to me and my friends while we were working out and told us we had to get off the floor because we had open toed shoes on. I’ve been coming here in slides every single time with zero issues or comments from staff, so it caught me completely off guard. He also said it with a smile, which honestly made the whole thing feel even more condescending. My friends were pretty upset but I kept it cool. I even gave the dude a fist bump and said, “Thanks for being cool about it” even though the interaction didn’t feel cool at all. Not a big deal, but as I was heading to the locker room to grab my things and leave without any conflict, he stopped me just to say, “Hey, the exit is actually that way.” Totally unnecessary, especially since I was clearly on my way out. The whole thing felt like a weird power trip, and I’ve genuinely never experienced anything like it at any other PF location.

Planet Fitness has been a huge letdown. Their billing is a mess, they make you add two backup accounts, but if the first one fails, they don’t even bother trying the second. Instead, they hit you with late fees. When I tried reaching out, I kept getting different answers every time, if I even got a response at all.

I finally canceled my membership and paid a $70 fee to be done with it. But somehow, they still kept trying to charge me for the next month and even added extra fees on top of that.

The worst part? The customer service. I called the Holly Springs location, calmly explained the situation, and the person on the phone just kept cutting me off. Then they hung up on me.

Honestly, it’s clear they care more about money than their members. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Have no issue with this gym in specific but I am looking to get a class action lawsuit against Planet Fitness for shady business practices. I called over a year ago after being in a pretty horrific accident. I explained that I did not have the ability to come there to cancel my membership and they said it would be canceled. Shortly after that my credit card expired and I didn’t think about it again . Fast fwd to yesterday I’m paying my bills and noticed there was a charge on my new card from planet fitness, I was totally stunned by this since 1 I already cancelled and 2 the Card I originally used had expired and I got a new card different card number and everything. They been charging me for over a year without me noticing this . May not seem like a huge deal but this is definitely going to be a problem for you guys moving fwd . Anyone wishing to join me in a class action feel free to reach out to me . I have a TikTok that gets about 2 million views per video so I’m sure if yall search for planet fitness class action it will pop up. This is gonna be a lot of work on my end ,unless I get my stolen money back I’l Planet fitness I got a question for you , it’s a good one my lawyer is probably going to ask . I travel for work all over the USA. The Planet Fitness in Holly Springs NC is by far the best taken care of and the friendliest, that I have had the pleasure of being in and working out. Hyper sensitive lunk alarm. If you actually like to lift weights this isn’t the gym for you. The staff here is too sensitive to understand that there may be an occasional grunt. The idea that the staff will blow the lunk alarm with anything but silence really speaks to the feather build of their out of shape employees and disregards the danger of doing so. You guys should really not just randomly hit the alarm unless it’s absolutely necessary. It’s distracting and ultimately can result in injury; when my annual membership is up I’m canceling. Really disappointing considering I’ve never seen such abuse of the system at any other location and I’ve been to many of them.

Great workout experience here. The staff are pleasant and always greet you with a smile. Equipment is in good condition and there are plenty of machines for different types of workouts. The massage chairs and hydro beds for black card members are well maintained. The 30 minute room is basically un-useable. The machines are always taken by people just popping in for 1 or 2 machines. They stay on them to do repeated sets for up to 10 minutes at times. This is one of the better PFs I have visited. The staff is terrific, and the facility is top-notch. The Black Card area is out of this world. One I can tell you most of the reviews are fake. This planet fitness is a franchised owned by a Texas company called excel fitness. Only a handful of people left reviews, the rest are just ratings from bots.

Clearly they do not excel at fitness. Especially their staff member Kia, who always has something to say…

Kia is the worst person who works there. 2 of my other friends decided to discontinue their workouts at Planet fitness because of her. It is not a pleasure to meet her — believe me.

There are only 6 benches, which means that there’s generally a line during the afternoon and evening. (This is a big gym.)

Most of the equipment in this gym are treadmills and bikes. There are large sections that are reserved for ‘programs’ nobody uses (which is fine.) However, what you’re left with is a crowded and lacking workout section.

There are no real benches, only smith machines with thin 20lbs bars that operate at an angle. The dumbbells only go to 75lbs, so good luck getting in a dumbbell press or squat.

Over the summer they let ‘kids’ up to 18 workout for free. But many college students abuse this and sign up with fake accounts. Going there in the summer is terrible.

A couple weeks ago I brought my buddy from out of town in as a guest (I almost never use this feature.)

Kia made a big fuss about letting us use the black card facilities. Fine…

Apparently, a kid needed a birth certificate to enter. They wouldn't even let them sit in the lobby! The receptionist workers were totally bluffing! They wouldn't let them sit down on a chair in the lobby without a birth certificate! 18+ don't need a birth certificate? People get there driver's licenses earlier than the age you guys tell them to bring a birth certificate! They are mature enough to not have to bring a birth certificate! It's ridiculous how complicated it has to be here! So to the people that are going to bring their kids or someone “under 18 years old.” be sure to bring a birth certificate. And watch out for the bluffing receptionist ladies!

I’ve been to many gyms all over the country and have never had a gym refuse to give me a free trial. They not only refused to give me a trial, I tried to use my sisters PF black card guest pass, but because she wasn’t with me they wouldn’t let me use the guest pass. They could’ve said “for future reference they have to be with you, but today you can try it out” instead they rudely turned me down and gave no alternative offer except a $20 day pass (absolutely ridiculous). There’s a reason why anyone who actually works out knows that planet fitness is the bottom of the barrel gym, and especially one with garbage customer service.

Have you ever had a plumber come to your home and unclog a drain? The smell of the built up hair and debris that has sat over time is yuck. Since I started using the gym a few months ago, I have always smelled that same smell coming from the shower drains. ALL of them. Today I talked to an older gentleman that out of the blue asked me "How can you shower here?". That sparked the conversation and he told me the same concern but added the fact that when people flush the toilets, that smell is worse. I agree. The only other concern I have is that instead of recovering damaged vinyl on the machines in the gym it seems someone thinks tape is sufficient. Tape only aggravates my skin and pulls my hair. I suggest maybe properly maintaining the machines. I also recently visited another planet fitness location which was in much better shape than this one. That just disappointed me. I hope this review prompts management to get a plumber out and make a few changes to machine maintenance. I look forward to posting a positive update in the near future. Thanks.

PF in Holly Springs is a very clean, fun. Exciting place to come n work out. Staff us helpful and the equipment always works well. The extra rooms like the tanning rooms or lite therapy rooms are great too. The very best helpful room is the hydro beds for message afterwards. These message beds are very helpful to relax the muscles and ease back into the rest of my day. Thank you Planet Firness! 😃👍🌟
