This may be my favorite Planet Fitness gym! The music alone sets the tone — they play a great mix of hip-hop, R&B, rap, pop, country, rock, and more. The playlist is so diverse, and I really love that energy when I’m working out.

The gym itself is huge with plenty of machines, so you really don’t have to worry about waiting for someone to finish their set. That’s a major plus, especially during busier hours. The locker room and bathrooms are clean from what I’ve seen. I definitely recommend it!

The gym is nice but this is what I don't understand, the song gimme a hug by drake was playing and was cut off after like 30 seconds. Then the song S&M by Rihanna came on which is literally a song about sex and being chained and whipped. This is very hypocritical and unacceptable. Nobody wants to listen to that crap while working out.

2 leg presses. TWO LEG PRESSES! Yes! Great job* to the owners or whatever strong legged saint that made that decision. I can maybe think of 2 or 3 other PFs I've been to (in over 40 states) that have more than one LP ...that's usually occupied by someone scrolling on TikTok while my quads shrivel up. Not having to wait for my favorite machine makes the Lincolnton Planet Fitness my favorite. The staff are cool too & the massage chairs hit.

I’ve been going to PF for many years all over NC /SC as I travel with work as a Private Investigator. I’ve been in many nice ones and many not so nice. I ran across this location about 2 weeks ago after being on surveillance in another city on my way back to Charlotte. My first impression was how nice and clean it was and the staff so friendly. Plenty of space along with plenty cardio, weight equipment. I don’t know any of the staffs names yet but one young lady I call ‘ Smiley’ I see a lot and so very nice that has the greatest smile. All the staff have been great greeting me and others as we arrive and leave or answering questions etc.
I generally visit a PF in Lake Wylie, SC and a 2 story one in East CLT but I will continue to travel 45 minutes to this location also just because of all I have said. I highly recommend if looking for a gym in Lincolnton area to join this one or if you in the area to check it out.

I visited multiple Planet fitness locations across North Carolina, including Charlotte, Mooresville, Statesville, and Hickory. Not only is this the best Planet fitness location I have ever been to, but it's the best fitness facility.

It is like a gym paradise: There's more equipment than I ever seen in a fitness facility, with multiple pieces aimed at working out the same muscle group.... this place is HUGE. Like every other facility, it also has a lot of cardio equipment as well.

This place is spotless and extremely well kept. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is very welcoming. Truly, it's like working out in heaven!

I only go there on slow days because I have PTSD and can’t be around a lot of people. It seems to me that this gym is never really as busy as the gym I used to go to. This is a good thing for me. This means the equipment will be free when I need it. The staff is friendly and I really have no complaints. I do wish the treadmills were a little bit nicer. My $500 treadmill I have at home is much more comfortable to run on. Planet Fitness treadmills are more like running on the pavement outside. Not a huge deal, but I do notice it when I run on my treadmill.

Let me start off by saying that I don't write reviews too often. This time, I felt the need to do so for Planet Fitness in Lincolnton North Carolina. The manager, Laura-Lee, is simply the BEST! The Staff at this location is absolutely AWESOME!!! Rose Mary, Ella, Madison, Stephen, Luis, Tiffany and Kat at the front desk, are always kind and very helpful with answering all your questions. Tyler, the personal trainer, is super nice and ALWAYS full of positive energy! He does a fantastic job with training programs and advice to help you maintain your body and overall health in good shape. It's so nice to walk into a GYM where everyone has such a positive energy and a happy spirit. They all make you feel like you are family. I highly recommend you give them a try. You WON'T be disappointed!

**UPDATE**
So if you are an active and fit member You won't be able to make this gym a home gym until they become apart of active and fit.
We didn't know until last Sunday in our contract It says you can only go to other gyms that are not your home gym 10xs a month for they'll charge a 5 fee every time after the 10xs. That day we had reached out limit and wouldn't be able to workout. As someone who doesn't live in that area and drove to that gym I was upset. Also there needs to be safety procedures in place because cops had to be called last week a strange man was walking around and tried to approach me at 4am while I was trying to get my things out of my car and was also looking into my vehicle and honestly made me uncomfortable. The cops told the girl that worked there to lock the doors and she couldn't because they never told her were a key was. Luckily the cops got there before he tried to enter the building. The cops were looking for him anyways.

Big and spacious! But I have a few recommendations like changing the shower heads and adding chairs to be able to sit our stuff on while we are in the showers. Some of the equipment is already broken and needs to be fixed. Also please get a hack squad machine! There is plenty of room for it! Also you're sign says 24/5 technically you guys aren't 24hrs 5days a week you don't open until 5am on Mondays and close at 10pm on Fridays. But it would be nice if you opened earlier on mondays.

Love this gym! Only few things I would love see change. One the shower heads in the women showers are awful second I wish they would fix the black card computer, everytime I try to scan in it says not found and that is really frustrating, and the last thing is I wish they would put a squat machine in there.

Very clean, super huge facility, has a great variety and quantity of machines (no waiting for a machine!), has different areas to use free weights or stretch, and the spa is FANCY! I've been to several different Planet Fitnesses and this is by far the nicest.

It’s WONDERFUL having a Planet Fitness finally in town. I find them CLEAN with updated equipment and the Black Cards are convenient when I’m out of town. Plenty of work out machines and stations to get in and out. Other gyms in Lincolnton are out dated & crowded.

I just went to the gym for the first time today. I have a black card for planet fitness so I have been to many of them. This one is by far my favorite one because it has so much space for the functional training area. Very clean and spacious and I never feel crowded.
