Regular PF, some issue with the massage chairs though. Kid has to come kick start it every 5 minutes on demo mode. Said there not really ready yet? But they're happy to charge you as if they were. We normally go to our home PF in Venice FL which is pretty busy but well run and very clean. For a couple of months we were staying in Pineville, so we went to this location 2-3 times per week.
This gym is larger than our home location. More equipment and fewer people so we liked that a lot. The staff is friendly and helpful. The locker rooms were clean and tidy.
Our only issue was the lack of regular cleaning in the workout areas. When you sit at a machine and notice dust and fuzz under and around the machines. A couple days later, same thing. Next week, the same fuzz. We never saw anybody vacuuming.

It's ok for a gym. Staff is nice. There aren't enough of certain machines and too many of others. The app is very glitchy. The fans don't work on most of the machines nor do the TV buttons. The last thing I want to watch while working out is news, hatred and division or hunting fishing. Honestly the best things about this gym are the hydro massage tables and chairs...when they are working properly and it really is very inconvenient that the timers are preset or programmed so if you need extra attention then you have to walk up to the front and ask for another round

I have been lucky enough to go to this gym for the last 3 years. And those three years I have made friends and greatly appreciate the long tenured staff members. Alex and John are true gems, I hope you guys at corporate give these guys a reason to stick around.

The new equipment was desperately needed, it is a bummer to see the heart rate sensors on the treadmills going out so soon though.

Dear Corporate Office,

I am writing to express my concern regarding an incident that took place at the Pineville, nc location involving two staff members: Alex (the manager) and John (a worker). During my workout, I felt that both staff members were siding with another member who was unfairly pressuring me to move on to the next machine when I clearly wasn’t finished with the one I was using.

I believe the situation was handled poorly and felt the member’s behavior was racially motivated. While she had no issue with another Caucasian member using a machine for an extended time, she targeted me. I was very disappointed with how Alex and John supported her without considering my side of the situation.

I would appreciate it if someone from corporate could give me a phone call to discuss this matter and help resolve it.

The front desk associate Rob is the type of guy to smile in your face while lying about things. I asked him about the now hiring sign they had out front of the gym. He told me that they recently filled all the positions at the gym, and were no longer hiring. I went online to confirm it at the Planet Fitness website. And, yeah he lied to me with a smile about the gyms available positions to apply for. Both the sign and job postings have remained posted up for days after my first visit to this location.

If you lie about simple things, and attempt to deceive people about small things. Lord only knows what kind of lies you will make when you actually are facing potential consequences or adverse challenges.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at Planet Fitness. Despite canceling my membership and following their detailed instructions (writing a letter, scanning it, and sending it to the manager), they continue to charge my account. I called numerous times to resolve the issue, and the manager assured me everything was fine. However, the charges persist every month.

I even had to issue a stop payment through my bank, costing me $20, to prevent further charges. Yet, a few months later, Planet Fitness resumed charging me through a different merchant system.

This is not good business practice, and I highly recommend taking this into consideration before signing with this location. If you do decide to join, do not use your bank account for charges; instead, use a credit card. It’s just not worth the hassle!

I wasn’t a fan of the manager of this location. She was weird and she was rude. I haven’t been there in a couple of years because I had to cancel my membership after moving. I didn’t enjoy going to this club during the day hours, as the staff is very chatty and unprofessional. They don’t enforce the no video recording in the locker room and females are CONSTANTLY recording other women naked and putting them on their snap chat and other social media platforms. That’s a safety concern and it’s not ok. The showers are cold and not very clean either.

Having to modify my review based on my experience in trying to leave the club. The club itself was great, but after joining in October 2022 I downgraded my membership in April 2023 from Black Card to Regular and was charged an additional Annual fee that should not have been due until November 2023. Was told that was company policy, and NOT given an option to keep the November 2023 end date. Now, as I cancelled my membership in April 2024 I was charged again, and they won't refund my fee. I have been charged Three annual fees, despite having been a member for 18 months. Absolutely worthless help from management.

Clean is one way I can describe it. Plus the gym members can help clean up by wiping their sweat off the machines, there are trash cans around with a paper towel dispenser and a spray cleaner to do just that. There are plenty of treadmills. There is also an area for just stretching. They have a room for classes, a 30 minute express workout room for members, and a massage chair area along with tanning especially for members.

I've been working out at this location for about 4 years. I've watched alot of staff come and go. Right now they have the worst by far that I've seen. The ladies locker room is so dirty every day. There is literally mold and mildew in the showers. And the floors in the showers are slimy and slippery. This morning I walked in and wasn't acknowledged. And walked out and got the same. The morning girl was just on her phone behind the desk! As a small business owner myself I find that unacceptable. Do better! You guys have one of the nicest facilities that I've been to other than the Clemmons location. And a location in Gastonia off of union road. But I cannot hardly understand the condition of the bathroom!! No excuse for it!!

I come here regularly but today was out of control. I witnessed a grown man in his boxerjocks while he worked out.
