I've been a member for a while now and I typically go to this location after work for tanning. I've let the staff know for a little over two months now about the lights in bed 11. First, it was the left facial lamp that would stop halfway through the session, but now two are out (along with a couple body bulbs). I'm not sure how long it takes to get bulbs repaired, but I assumed two months would be plenty of time.

This location is really nice, but they just switched a lot of the equipment around and I don’t love it. The back room now has a giant turf area….and I’m just not sure who that’s for. The few times I’ve been here since they got it I haven’t seen one person doing anything on it, mostly just walking around it. Seems to be a big waste of space and the gym feels smaller now

I’ve been really happy with this Planet Fitness location! The gym is always clean, the equipment is in great shape, and I never have trouble finding what I need. The staff are friendly and keep everything running smoothly, and I appreciate how well-maintained the locker rooms and restrooms are. It’s a great place to get a solid workout in without any stress or crowding. Definitely one of the better gyms in the area!

I love this planet fitness! I have loved this particular planet fitness since it first opened - great layout, great equipment, great team members. This particular location is always extremely clean, which makes such a huge impact on experience. Today I went and realized there had been some major changes to the layout and equipment since the last time I had visited. I think some cardio may have been removed — which is fine, there is still plenty to go around. Most notably, they replaced the “circuit training area” with a functional training area, added TONS of plate loaded equipment including a standing plate-loaded calf raise, more smith machines, and even a handful of half racks with wooden platforms (?) what?!? How cool, PF. How cool. The new layout is great and doesn’t even look crowded at all with all the new equipment, either. Anyways, I completely loved it before the changes and I still completely love it now (maybe even more).

1-Star Review: Disappointed with Recent "Upgrades" - Lacking Basic Free Weights!
​I've been a Planet Fitness member for a while, but the recent "upgrades" to this gym are incredibly disappointing and, frankly, a step backward. It feels like the focus has shifted entirely to making money rather than listening to what members actually need.
​The biggest issue is the bizarre equipment choices. You've added a ton of leg equipment that most members don't use, including several "swat" machines and now four or five new squat racks. How can you add multiple squat racks and not even provide a single free weight bench press? Anyone who knows anything about lifting understands that a Smith machine and a free weight bench press are completely different. This severely limits workout options for many of us who rely on essential free weights. There's a large, open area that would be perfect for a free weight bench, yet it remains empty.
​Beyond the equipment, my experience with the gym manager has been consistently negative. He seems to harass members over minor issues, and when complaints are raised, it feels like he's telling us to "kick rocks" rather than addressing legitimate concerns.
​Frankly, Planet Fitness sucks right now. We pay our fees every month, and to not even have a free weight bench alongside all these new squat racks is unacceptable. If proper free weight benches aren't added, I, along with at least 15 other members I know, will be taking our business elsewhere. Listen to your members and provide the essential equipment we actually need!

like every gym, it is a cellphone cafe. people do one "set" and then play on their phones for 10 minutes. about half the people there are just clogging stations and playing on their phones.

and don't leave your bench to get a sip of water. someone will just throw your stuff on the ground and say "well there was no one on it". management will not have your back. they will say well you left the station - tough luck

I really wish I could put zero stars. Me and my friend just left this planet fitness on capital blvd and we had a 0/10 experience! We signed up for the summer teen pass so we could workout and get our summer body’s for a low cost & when we first walked in the staff member noticed we had tri pods because we were recording a weightloss TikTok video. She said we could record as long as no one was in the background and we were up against a wall. As me and my friend were enjoying and recording our workout with no one in the background what so every an old ugly dirty man named JAKE comes up without any sort of greeting, how are you, no nothing.. and tells us we can’t record and that it doesn’t matter about if no one is in the frame or not and. It’s all so weird because we get told two different things from two different people so it’s like which one is it??? Yall need to set policies and hire better staff members because there’s no reason why me and my friend should be getting interrupted during our workout over some bs! Worse planet fitness in Raleigh North Carolina.

If you didn't know you have to cancel your membership in person or by letter. You are supposed to be able to cancel online but the portal doesn't work and planet fitness staff are unhelpful and rude and just tell you to mail a letter. Just know before signing up that it is an absolute pain to cancel your membership. I moved and can longer use planet fitness services so I am going to have to mail a letter, confirm that the club received it and are no longer going to charge my card and steal from me. When I signed up the words "no commitment" were plastered all over the web page but obviously that's not the case. They have the ability to cancel your membership over the phone but planet fitness survives off passive income from gym goers who forget they have a membership. That's why they make it so hard to cancel, so you just give up.

I talked to a pf employee on the phone that lied to me and said they tried to cancell my membership but couldn't because their system crashed but then I called back and spoke with a different person who said they couldn't even do that over the phone. Then after leading you on for 10 minutes acting like they can solve your problem they transfer you to the store where the employee tells you the only way to cancel is by mailing a letter. Horrible business practices.

I love the fact that it's an affordable gym and the gym team is always going through and checking on everything. It sucks when the machines are down but they don't seem to be down long enough for me to really take notice. Outside of that it would be nice if the check in meter was a little more accurate but honestly if I go in at 5-7 pm on a weekday I already know what to expect. Outside of that I love the tvs and how they have a timer at the bottom to help me do my mini breaks between my reps.

My wife received a $49 charge to our bank account for cancelling “without sevens days notice”. I had to spend 10 min on a customer service hotline to discover what this charge was because it was not discussed during cancellation. We explicitly asked if there would be a charge for cancellation of our membership.

I love Planet Fitness! I'm a middle aged man, trying to get into better shape and improve the quality of my life. I appreciate the terms, "You Belong," and "No Judgment.". I go three days a week for about an hour and a half each time. I've made some friends, learned how to workout better, lost a lot of fat, and gained muscle. It's a great gym for me. My only concern is almost everyone has earbuds in their ears while they workout. The music is so loud, I have to put my earbuds on full volume. I can handle that, for the benefit to my quality of life. I'll be back soon!

Went on a friend pass got to use the equipment on the main floor, but I found out when I was going to try out the sauna and massage chairs in the back to wind down. They don’t let Friend pass go back there and that was the main reason why I wanted to see what planet fitness was all about. Most fitness centers don’t have that wind down room and I hear it. It is very useful after a hard workout. I hate I didn’t get to see what it was all about so I’ll just keep searching, but I can mark them off my list.

The worst gym ever!!! Very poor management… I started with a $25 all inclusive membership and cancelled it because they have older tanning beds and massage chairs, I didn’t like those. When I switched to a $15 membership, they charged me $30 instead of $15, because they weren’t able to process the payment through autopay on time and then they did it in a couple of days with the late fee through autopay without letting me know!!! Scammers. I would rather go to a more expensive gym with more equipment and space than this MINI gym.

This place is a great location for me 7 minutes from my job. The place is clean 99 percent of the time. Great place to work out for me. Only had one issue. How can people enter there and sleep in the dressing room. While taking a shower a guy just keep walking back and fourth kind of made me a little on the edge. I didn't know his intentions, and he had no intentions of working out. I asked the guy was he alright but he just stared like he might of been really out of it.
