I had an unprofessional experience at this location on 11/18 around 2 PM. A staff member named Keyshon spoke to me in a rude and condescending tone over a minor issue that could have been handled respectfully. He escalated the situation, refused to let me speak with a manager, and showed no professionalism. I want to note that Gerald means well, and the other staff members were fine, but this interaction made the visit extremely uncomfortable. As a long-time PF member, I’m requesting better customer service training and accountability.

Went to this Planet Fitness since the one I usually use was closed for repairs. I asked for help to adjust the settings for the eliptical machine. There were 3 people at the front desk and no one was willing to help. Did just a basic workout and left. Will not be going back to that location again.

- To those of you that complained in reviews about cancelled memberships, but money is still being taken from your account, it may possibly be because the GM forged your signature for renewal. He definitely didn’t think twice about forging my signature. He won’t let a federal crime get in his way!

In a final attempt to make this location take responsibility for me being assaulted/ assault with deadly force several times by a member with no avail. Not to mention that the GM Gerald was aiding and abetting in animal cruelty by allowing the member to bring her dog into the tanning room 5 days a week knowing that the dog can’t protect its eyes with goggles. How would he like to have something burning his eyes 5 days a week. Apparently they don’t just discriminate against people who have severe allergies to animals by asking the member with the animal to kindly stay a reasonable distance from the allergic member, they discriminate and pick sides based on color as well. They also fraudulently forge your signature and make excuses for it! What goes around comes around!!!!!!

Update- The lady with the dog who was harassing me after being told by me that I am very allergic to dogs right in front of an employee, when her dog then came and licked me on the leg, was continuing to pick a machine right near me 1-2 feet away to be exact. On at least 4 OCCASIONS I went to the front desk and asked if someone could talk to her, they did NOTHING! Now I’m being discriminated against by the general manager Gerald and told I can’t come to that location! It’s a personality issue with him because he staff members told him that I said if I have to use a epipen and go to the hospital and miss work because nobody would do anything, I’m taking legal action. I did say that after going to the front desk numerous times! So if you’re looking for a gym that’s like an animal shelter this is the one!!!

Everyone here is still great, however I’ve been kind of annoyed lately because the General Manager continues to let the lady come in with her nasty long haired dog. I’m horribly allergic and I should be able to work out without fearing I’m going to have to shoot a epi-pen in my leg. The dog ahowers in the locker room with her and is all over the place I’ve witnessed other people complain as well. The dog has taken a crap in the gym before. They can clean all they want but this is a bit much. No she doesn’t have a ptsd vest or medical vest for people with seizures, she just needs a freaking friend so she went online and paid for an emotional support friend. Give me a freaking break!!!! Also I need the franchise owner of this location to stop being so cheap! The fact that it’s always cooler outside than inside because you don’t want to spend money on the power bill is a bit much. To instruct your managers to limit the AC, seriously!!! As a business owner I would never want my clients to be as miserable as you have your customers feeling! Considering the fact my clients just sit down but your customers are doing heavy exertion and high pulse workouts is insane! If you can’t afford the price of owning a gym and paying the power bill, sell it to someone who can!!!!

I appreciate going to the various Planet Fitness gyms around the country while I’m working away from home. The gyms have good equipment that is well maintained and there are cleaning product stations placed strategically throughout the area so people can easily wipe off the stations after use. I do wonder about this national fitness chain that doesn’t use an advertising agency that knows how to spell. On many walls in every gym is the phrase “NO JUDGEMENT ZONE.” Judgment is spelled with one “e” not two. I think Planet Fitness should get a partial refund for the mistake. Sorry, PF, but I’m judging you!

The black level membership can only be canceled by paper mail, not by phone or online. Also, the advertised "free visit for a friend" only applies to certain areas in the club, and bringing a friend results in an onerous sales pitch for the friend. Lastly, equipment is constantly broken, with posted signs citing "supply chain problems" in ordering replacement parts.

I have several members of my family who are Planet Fitness Black Card members on my recommendation. I have been training consistently for over two years at Planet Fitness gyms in many states but this gym is the only one with the most unfriendly and incompetent staff. We will probably all cancel our memberships.

Upgrading my review from three stars to five, as the music volume lately has been much more moderate - thank you!

For the most part I really like this gym and think it's a good value. It's clean, well staffed and there is a good variety of equipment. My only complaint is that the music there is cranked so loud lately that even with noise cancelling earbuds I have to have whatever I'm listening to turned way up to hear it over the music coming over the speakers. Most people there use their own headphones, so I'm not sure how helpful it is to have music blasting like it's a nightclub. If the volume was at a less intrusive level I'd be giving the facility a five star rating.

Here, you can listen great music (edm principally) during the night!! I usually visit several Planet Fitness through North and South Carolina during the year, and here I feel better, I don't need to use headphones.

After losing money from them taking out of my account without authorization, my daughter and I no longer attended. At times 200 to a total of 500 a month for two months without any help from the company to trace it. I bought bank statement s and everything. My bank red flagged them on one occasion and called me. The front desk people were ok, no one introduced themseleves, I gave my name and said i joined online for the strickland location and asked about a tour and asked about a certain type of bike you may have and he said let me ask the other guy at the desk, who actually just let me stand there while the other guy was helping some one and he did not acknowledge that i was there or ask to help me then in a smart alick way told me and the guy helping me all pf have that bike but didnt say where it was in the club, the black guy, not being predjudice here, they just did not give their names was rude didnot have a smile and had no intentions of helping me! If i can find another club close by I will not return to this location! Bad first Impression! I worked at a health club back in 2011-2018, and we greeted all club members with a smile and offered a tour and answered all questions with a smile! I am disappointed in this location!

there was a new hire cleaning the women's locker room and bathrooms within it, and she was really disinfecting everything, and i know how they normally look nasty full of shed hair everywhere.. the manager came in and said literally told her nah we need to save money on cleaning and disinfectant so water it way down and don't go that much in detail leave the nasty to the night shift.... i was like that's messed up because these toilets and showers get used thru out the day and get dirty fast.....

My family belonged to the YMCA for years. I was not comfortable in the weight lifting area. At Planet Fitness I am comfortable. Some might call their slogans cheesy, I think they are perfect. All of my family members can have a membership for less than the YMCA family membership. And! I never saw someone clean at the YMCA. You see it at Planet Fitness all of the time!! It is so clean!

We love the Strickland location, glad we're Black Card members , so we can bounce around if needed. We were at the Brier Creek locale, nice staff, too big and over crowded with folks just sitting on machines taking selfies and Tiktokin. Get in, respect others time and session and go. Strickland is crazy clean, they police the floor for squatters, most all folks are very good about keeping it moving . Always a machine, weights , cardio available. Smaller but big enough to not feel lost. The crowd here is mostly 30s to 60s age crowd. There are a few 20s that drift through, but overall not bad . Love the vibe, counter staff are always great, smiling and ready to serve. Great team and gym Strickland!

I go to this gym on my lunch break during the week and coming from a non gym rat… I love coming to this location! I have been coming here for 2 months and it will be the only one I continuously come to for a few reasons. The bathrooms are always clean, it’s not a super busy location when I go, they have the equipment I need, and they have one of the best employees working there! Kendra’s energetic and bubbly personality really sets my workouts up for greatness whether she is at the front desk or somewhere else in the gym! She is always smiling and just brings a vibrant feel to the place. Makes it so easy to come back and work out! Planet Fitness and their staff located at Strickland Rd, Raleigh is Great!!!... I left a very well-known high-end gym in the area where I was paying 5 times as much as what I pay at Planet Fitness. And even though that gym had all the bells and whistles and amenities which I very rarely used lol... it was always tremendously crowded and just truly a pain to get a workout in when I wanted and how I wanted at my convenience… soooo I was so very pleasantly surprised to find out that Planet Fitness more than met all of my physical fitness needs especially in the area of convenience by having 24/7 access to their facilities not just all over the nation but in multiple locations in my city alone at any time or day what more can you ask for lol???... So I now have a gym membership that is soooo much less expensive does not cost me $100+ per month that offers quality facilities with excellent customer service that I have access to 24/7 in multiple locations that I can go to whenever I want without it being a hassle to get a machine because they have tons of machines and the facilities are kept in top notch condition. Needless to say, I'm a very very Happy and Satisfied Planet Fitness customer for life... 😃

Not happy with PF. Came in to cancel my membership about 4 months ago. PF continued to charge me after I physically came in to cancel the membership. Came in a 2nd time to cancel. Staff not very helpful. It would be nice if PF Staff could do their job as expected. I shouldn’t have to come in twice to cancel. Traveling out here for a trip and I was tweaking from not working out for several days, glad I finally got a workout in. The workout spaces were fine and the machines were in good working order from what I can tell. The machines were a slightly different variant from what I’m used to seeing back in the Midwest (AKA the middle of nowhere) but they were functional and I was able to use them no problem. The locker room design is excellent - it has my preferred design where the bench lines the walls with the lockers rather than awkwardly in the middle of the locker room. Probably not a fault of the staff but when I was showering in this location you could definitely smell someone’s bathroom trip from just down the hall, was slightly off-putting but probably just a one-off issue. The shower itself that i used was clean and much more spacious than other locations I’ve been to (much appreciated). Overall a good PF location

I’ve been to a lot of locations. This is by far one of the best ones I’ve ever been to. It is my home gym so I’m a Little biased but the staff is so nice and they keep it so clean and the equipment is SO well kept.
