Today would have been my first class, and I was really looking forward to the slow heated vinyasa session. Especially with this studio being black
Owned. Upon arrival today, I was notified that the class was abruptly canceled. It would have been nice to get some form of communication before I showed up. I just ask that peoples time be taken into consideration before traveling to a class and then being told it’s canceled. It’s not professional. I understand things happen, but this is not how to conduct business. I hope to attend a class in the future, but this has turned me off a bit especially being a new to this facility.

Pranayama House is a hidden gem in Charlotte. The space is warm, inviting and intimate. It’s a wonderful place to practice and the owner Bethany is a very gifted teacher. I always feel welcome when I go, and uplifted when I leave.

Love the location! My second time was not good as my first time. It was supposed to be a hot Vinyasa class it was definitely a slow stretching class. And it was definitely hard hearing the instructor.

Truly a beautiful and peaceful studio. I like that it’s one class at a time, not overcrowded with people coming and going. I experienced an amazing Bethany’s Slow Flow class today, tested my strength and I felt so invigorated! I loved the sound bath at the end to rest and rejuvenate. Thank you Bethany 🙏

I absolutely LOVE this place!! Bethany is beyond AMAZING! This is not your average yoga. The deep stretch class by Bethany or Mr. SloGlo are typically the classes I attend. I did one class with Olivia and it was good too! The deep stretch classes include the sound bath experience which is a gift in itself. This is a space where you can truly “take all you need for yourself”, leaving all your cares at the door. I attend weekly and highly recommend. This feeds the body, mind, and soul. The breath work classes is also fantastic. We take our breath for granted. This class honors the gift of breath in such a special way.

Absolutely love this studio and the instructors! The space is beautiful, with stunning views of uptown, and the temperature is just right - warm enough to work up a good sweat without feeling overwhelming. The cold towel at the end of class is the perfect finishing touch. Highly recommend!

I have attended 3 classes with 3 different instructors. Each time was a 10/10. Each instructor had their own style, they were extremely professional, kind, and clearly experts in their practice. There were so many thoughtful details through the practice, like cool lavender towels at the end of heated vinyasa. They are there to help you and challenge you to learn and try new postures. Really feels like a quality, boutique yoga experience. Also very beginner friendly (judgement free!), yet great for intermediate/ advanced students. Will definitely be back to support this local, women-owned business!

AMAZING! 10 out of 10 experience. I took the chakra deep stretch class andi feel rejuvenated. I'll definitely be coming back. They provided essential oils, a magnesium spray that helped loosen my muscles, and chakra affirmation cards.

The studio is decorated really well and the equipment is high quality. It has a great ambiance and The vibes are immaculate. Highly recommend to anybody who wants to really connect with a spiritual yoga practice.

Visiting Charlotte from out of town and gave this place a call morning of the class, they made room for us to join a full class. Very grounded teacher guided us through a healing hot vinyasa practice! Thank you!

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience this morning with Bethany. The studio is located just off central avenue in plaza Midwood. It took me 8 minutes from my south end apartment. The studio is welcoming, friendly and provides a positive experience for all levels. I would recommend this studio to anybody.

Mindful Elevation with Imoni Monee was the mid-week refresher I needed! Even though I arrived about 15 minutes late, I was still able to hop right in and join with ease — a true reflection of the welcoming, non-judgmental space that Imoni creates.

The class itself is a perfect blend of intentional breathwork, gentle flows, and grounding mindfulness techniques. Her calming voice and intuitive guidance helped me release tension I didn’t even realize I was holding. By the end of class, I felt lighter, more centered, and deeply elevated — check them out!

I’m immensely grateful to have found this studio. While there are many yoga facilities in Charlotte, this one is by far my favorite. There’s a true sense of community and intention woven into every aspect of the experience. Imoni and Bethany are incredibly mindful, offering the freedom to personalize your journey on the mat—spiritually, energetically, physically, and emotionally. The breathwork and guidance in each class are thoughtfully unique. Thank you for creating such a welcoming and supportive space that has allowed me to return to my practice with ease and joy.

The owners, Bethany, and Imoni, have created my favorite place in Charlotte. The amazing yoga teaching and regularity of an accessible schedule aside, the center plays host to a variety of other community-focused events throughout each week. It’s the best kept secret in yoga in Charlotte. I regularly proselytize and wax poetic about Pranayama House to all who will listen. I’ve been practicing over 10 years on and off, and more talented and intuitive teachers I’ve yet to meet. I’ve witnessed the owners in instruction be accessible to both advanced yogis and those brand new to yoga, so whether you’re a regular practitioner or just curious about moving in a new way Bethany and Imoni will meet you at your level on your mat for your practice.

The studio has spare mats, blocks, bolsters, and blankets. I recommend bringing a towel amd water bottle for the heated. For any deep stretch or sound bath class just be ready to relax and unwind the knots accrued throughout the day. If you were thinking about trying out Pranayama House, drop by and experience for yourself! It’s the best choice I’ve made this year 😊

I went to my first class at this studio last night and it was incredible! The studio is an insanely gorgeous space with wonderful energy. Bethany led us through a 90 minute deep stretch and sound bath practice and I was so zen and relaxed. I can’t wait to come back for more classes and support this studio! I also had no trouble parking either!

This is my favorite yoga studio in Charlotte! Bethany has created an inclusive space that feels entirely authentic and flows naturally. I love how the classes ask you to listen to the needs of your own body and take what you need that day. The community here is truly unique, supportive, and inviting. Plus, the class rates are by far the best in the city!

Such a beautiful, loving space. Bethany has created a true work of art yoga studio, with the added benefit of sound healing. It’s honestly such a treat to be able to get a yoga session in, along with a sound bath in this amazing studio. Bethany is genuine and authentic, and it inspires myself (and others) to truly hone in and be free 🫶

Do not let the lack of reviews steer you away. This is the yoga community I have been desperately searching for. My friend had recommended Pranayama house a while ago and life kept getting in the way. Finally on a sunday afternoon I was feeling a bit down and thought, why don’t I give a class a try. When I tell you within the first 5 mins I was looking around fighting tears bc I realized I found a community. The class was absolutely incredible and Bethany is absolutely aligned w her path as a yoga teacher/ sound healer. I am honored to have found this community and looking forward to all the classes I have yet to take! 11 stars!

Pranayama House is the yoga community I've spent my 20s searching for. They incorporate all the limbs of yoga in their teachings, + they really are about that mind/body/spirit connection. Each teacher has their own unique magic & the diversity of students it brings is amazing to have witnessed over the last year & a half as a member. Bethany, the founder, is one of the most gifted teachers I've ever practiced with. Her intuitive nature always seems to give you exactly what you need. Her sound bath deep stretches are the highlight of my week! Pranayama House is a growing community that provides the space for you to be you, feel at home, & breathe. Come join us :)

This yoga studio is so much more than just a yoga studio. Bethany has created a space that the Charlotte area was lacking, somewhere safe where community can hold space for one another spiritually, mentally and physically, without judgment. She has a variety of offerings, led by a variety of teachers and every single one of them is worth your time and money. I am very particular about where I practice yoga and from the first time I entered Pranayama House in 2022 for a deep stretch sound bath, I knew I had found my new home.
