Pure is a great Studio that allows each student to progress at their own pace through a variety of class offerings. Unlike many Pilates studios, where students can only access the Pilates equipment in private sessions, Pure opens the equipment to everyone through small group classes. The studio owner Penelope has certified countless teachers and is a great instructor for everyone from the novice to the super advanced level. I've been studying with Penelope for about 10 years (previously at Urban Body Studios in Atlanta) and can honestly say she's changed my body and my life.

Pure is the place to go for Pilates!! Penelope, Erin, Kristine, Addy, and all the student trainees are wonderful teachers; they put the care and maintenance of your body first. The wide range of class offerings are sometimes fast-paced, challenging, and fun, or slow-paced so you can really focus on the movement. Pure has really changed my body; I am stronger and more well-rounded and am able to perform better in all of my activities. Fitness can be fun, and it is at Pure!

Pure Pilates has changed my body and my life! I turned to Pure when I was having bad lower back problems. I have reclaimed my body and now have a new understanding of what "core strength" really means (apparently I never really had it!). They have a really nice studio with all the best equipment, and an incredibly knowledgeable team of instructors. They really cater to their clients' individual needs!
I am now feeling stronger than ever! I am enjoying the benefits in my everyday life, as well as in sports with my performance on the field, and a reduced recovery time off the field! Thanks Pure, you guys rock!

Pure pilates is where my addiction began. Pure has a variety of instructors and levels of classes for anyone who is interested. I started from square one and have become very strong and almost advanced now. Pure always offers great packages deals to make my habit more affordable. Thank you for all you do for my body, strength, and massage practice.

I can't way enough great things about Pure Pilates. Meagan Witkus and Mark Read-Smith have both dramatically helped my back, which is no longer an issue. I love Pilates because I have been able to use the principles of Pilates for all aspects of life - walking the dogs, running, weight lifting. It has been a game-changer.
I also really want to stress that it's not just the Pilates - it is specifically that Meagan and Mark are phenomenal instructors. Caring, knowledgeable, and funny, they are really inspiring and helpful.

I have been a client of Pure Pilates for the past two and a half years and absolutely love it. I tried other studios before checking out Pure but never really got anything out of the classes. I knew immediately that I would like Pure because Penelope was able to communicate how to use my core and challenged me even in the Level 1 class. I thought I was in good shape until I finished that first class!
Penelope and the rest of the staff make sure they know what special needs (injuries, back problems, etc) each student has before beginning a class or individual session. I have always felt safe and challenged whether I am taking a Level 3 mat or a Level 1 reformer class. I have learned to know my body and how to challenge it while identifying and respecting my limitations.
I worked my way from a beginner to taking advanced classes. When I found out I was pregnant I felt very comfortable continuing my workouts with the suggested modifications from Penelope, Megan, Deanna and Diane. I stuck with it into my third trimester and then everything became uncomfortable! I took about 6 months off.
I am just now starting back with classes and private sessions. I have a completely different body than before my pregnancy. Most everything is weaker and my back is tighter. Penelope is truly a specialist of her craft. She can see where I need to modify exercises, which exercises I need to do to strengthen my weak spots and she is helping me know my body once again. All this while keeping me safe and encouraging me to keep at it. None of it is easy (and it shouldn't be) but I am stronger than I was just a month ago.
I can't say enough positive things about Pure and Penelope. I encourage you to try them out!

Pure is amazing. As a man, I have always thought that Pilates was an exercise for women. Boy was I wrong! After my first experience at Pure, I was totally hooked. I have suffered from lower back pain for years and after my very first private session, I noticed an incredible difference in my back and in my overall flexibility. I have no desire to go to a traditional gym anymore to get a workout in. The staff at Pure is truly at the top of their game and the quality of the studio is second to none. All of the equipment is top of the line and the space is warm, inviting and always immaculately clean. The classes are fun and challenging, and working out has become something that I really look forward to. With the large offering of classes that Pure makes available, I can always find a great class to get in on with my crazy schedule. I can't recommend the Pure experience highly enough!

I think this place is great! Better yet the people there are fantastic! The staff is knowledgeable and makes sure that every class is rewarding. Then, above that, there is a great group of devoted clientele that only ads to the experience by making it fun.
Pilates as a discipline is essential to almost everyone and if you are going to pursue it I cannot imagine a better palace to begin, continue or teach.

The facilities were super nice. I've been doing Pilates for many years but the instruction I received was a tad rigid for my taste. The instructor made it difficult to enjoy the class. She was knowledgeable but super strict. Not my style.

After having a traumatic injury, I was very cautious about slowly healing and getting stronger. The trainers at Pure have looked after me each step of the way. They have given me very personalized attention and I am seeing the results of incredible progress in less than two months. I am a believer! These ladies are friendly, welcoming and challenge you to work out at your ability level. The services are personalized and they work with your body type and skill level. The facilities are spa-like and provide a relaxing environment. I've seen my body transformed in the three months that I've been working out here and am so pleased!

Pure Pilates Asheville gets an A+ in my book. The studio is contemporary and inviting. They offer a full range of pilates classes from beginners to advanced. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable, organized, compassionate and tough! They make every minute count and thoroughly work me over.
