I appreciate the combination of endurance and strength-building routines recently added that are forgiving on a "funk" day and challenge me on a favorable day to get the most from my workout. Our coaches are eager to hear suggestions and quickly change up a set to accommodate to the needs of the group.

Have thoroughly enjoyed my participation in Rock Steady Boxing. Val and Hannah do a great job for everyone despite different levels of physical abilities. Look forward to continuing.

My husband who has Parkinson’s loves Rock Steady Boxing. Val and Hannah are great coaches and keep the workouts fun and fresh while at the same time challenging. He loves the social interactions, the teamwork, the mental acuity exercises, as well as the physical workouts. How many of us without PD can count backwards by sevens while punching the bag! This is a no judgment class. For example, if you need to do a seated chair workout because your balance is off, they make modifications for you. He has been attending RSB three times per week since 2018 and it has really helped keep my husband going physically and socially. It is as important a part of his health routine as his meds. We highly recommend RSB. He attends classes in Leland and Wilmington.

This strength, balance and basic fitness program has been a true benefit for my husband over the past 2+ years. As he adjusts to the progressive challenges of living with Parkinson’s disease. He has found encouragement, manageable exercise experience and friendship. Rock Steady Boxing has provided a safe and positive space for all the participants who must meet the daily struggles head on and along the way they find humor and goodwill allowing them to feel more confident and comfortable. The instructors are supportive while challenging everyone to reach for their personal best each day. It’s a great program for individuals living with Parkinson’s!
