I love it here. Its so welcoming here my son only does taekwondo. I did have him in summer camp last year but wasnt a fan because my son told me kids were calling him names and what not so I took him out. Other than that, I love it and Master Ryu is great with the discipline and patience of each child on the mat. I do wish he make a YouTube channel for each belt color so kids can practice at home for their specific belt instead of waiting to come into class.

Master Ryu is a wonderful person and a great mentor. The students all definitely love and respect him, as do all the parents. The other instructors are all ones he knows he can trust with the careful duty of training the students.

This gym is truly a legitimate taekwondo gym and is registered with the Taekwondo Federation based in South Korea. Master Ryu also continues his practice and regularly attend competitions.

I have absolute faith and confidence in his mentorship, abilities, and that of his other instructors. I highly recommend this location.

The BEST Taekwondo dojo in Fayetteville. We moved from a different state. Our son had previously done Karate for two years. We tried three different dojo's before we found Master Ryu. They're practices are well thought out, and they control young kids very well. Our son enjoys going to practices as well!

Update: January 30, 2024. Our son still goes here and is now a Brown belt. He is still an excellent teacher with a great team of instructors who are knowledgeable and patient. Highly recommend!

Ryu’s Taekwondo has proven to be an exceptional experience for my child. My child’s journey began at the age of 5 when Ryu’s Taekwondo first opened., My son, now 12 years old, has attained the accomplishment of a 3rd-degree Black belt under Master Ryu.

Master Ryu delivers outstanding instruction and also encourages eligible students to become junior instructors. My child participates as a junior instructor and has received national recognition for his time and effort!

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Master Ryu and Mrs. Jamie for their dedication and commitment to the growth and well-being of all the students in their dojang!

We've been with Ryu's Taekwondo since 2018, and it's hands down one the best places to train. The instructors are great with the kids. We love the family atmosphere. I can't imagine being anywhere else.

Seriously the best! We spent a year or so searching for a great taekwondo and we are slo glad we landed with Master Ryu. He really pushes but yet encourages the kids. As they keep testing up in belts, even though the schedule changes he has been really flexible and working with us to make sure we can still fit in classes with all of our other activities.

We have tried 5 karate places in Fayetteville. 5!!!! Schools where teachers close for 5 weeks, teachers have hit kids, teachers only have kids teach kids, schools that demand $$$$ upfront. We were desperate to find a karate school like our last one in Nevada.

A few of my athletes recommended this gym. MY SON CANT GET ENOUGH!!! This is really a family environment. Positive and nurturing. My son wakes up at 6 a.m. begging to go to their day camp. When I pick him up...he begs to stay later.

You can't beat the price. Classes are controlled, encouraging, and fun. The staff....just amazing. Each of them love on the children encouraging and patient.

This IS the Taekwondo school of Fayetteville. Period.

Phenomenal Mixed Martial Arts School. Master Ryu and his staff are more than exceptional. The knowledge base and standards by the staff really is what sets them apart from all places in the surrounding area. You couldn’t ask for a better team. Ryu, Jackson and Sharday are wonderful instructors and very patient teachers. The calsses are focused, fun, educational, and specfic to each level of learned ability. the students are supported through every process as they advance! The facility is brand new, beautiful and super clean! They are huge on cleanliness and sanitation, as well as comfort and support for the on looking family members! I highly recommend!

I have been taking my son to master U since he was 3 years old. He is now 6 years old..We have had amazing summer camps birthday party's 🥳 after school care which MasterU picks him up at our home and when we where in school at the school :) Master U truly cares about everyone of his students!! He does not want his students to fail! He understands every child's need where they need to practice to accomplish their goals!! ³ Professional inviroment. We have been part of Ryu’s Taekwondo Family for 1.5 years. Master Ryu and Mrs. Jaime are amazing with my kids. My kids absolutely love them, we are also part of the after school program. I always ask my kids if they would go back to their old after school program and they always give me a definite NO! answer. It has been amazing to see them start at white belt and move up through their TKD journey. Few people are as gifted as Master Ryu with kids. He has a way of drawing out the best in them through both high expectations AND meaningful encouragement. They want to work hard for him because he recognizes them, and meets them on their level. As a parent of a very high-energy and forceful child, it is a much needed breath of fresh air to watch someone like Master Ryu draw out diligence and respect and hard work from these kids. He is extremely gifted. You will find yourself taking notes and trying to apply at home! Engaging and shepherding the kids seems effortless for him.

Ryu's Taekwondo is one of Fayetteville's best kept secrets. I cannot recommend it enough for anyone who has been looking for a structured program that can come alongside them in teaching their children respect and hard work.
