We recently had a 7th birthday party for our daughter at Studio 5. It was an incredible experience for my daughter and her friends. The planning process ahead of time was smooth and helpful. We were blown away by the party - the staff and dance instructor stayed on track with our timeline, were energetic and fun, and truly provided a magical experience for the girls! For the price of the party, we were impressed by what they provided for us, and how engaged they were in entertaining and hosting a great party! Thank you, Studio 5!

We signed our 2.5-year-old daughter up for the summer dance session, and it’s been such a fun and positive experience! The class is led by Jessie and Anna, and they are both absolutely wonderful with the little ones—so patient, upbeat, and great at making the kids feel comfortable.

The class is full of music, movement, and playful activities that are just right for this age. They do a great job of mixing simple dance steps with creative games which keeps the toddlers engaged and having a blast.

My wife and I have been looking for the perfect studio for our daughter who will turn 2 this month, either the schedule wouldn’t work, location, or atmosphere wasn’t there. Proud to tell people we are a studio five family, and can’t wait to watch our little dancer grow with the Studio Five Family as a toddler and a new dancer. My daughter went to a class about a year and a half ago and she was not ready. We came back this year and she is in love! She does two classes a week and the instructors are so good with her. Everyone has been so friendly and professional. When I ask questions via text I get answers pretty quickly and they always have a friendly tone. I appreciate their newsletter and emails so I stay informed of things happening at the studio. The app they use is easy to navigate and has all the information I need. So far we have had a really great experience and we are excited for our future with them!

My toddler son was mistreated at this studio, and when confronted, the studio staff and owner did nothing about it. You would think as a studio in a small town that they would have sought feedback in an effort to improve their tactics or at the very least understand why they lost my business. As a former professional dancer myself, I will not partake, let alone pay, for a dance establishment to make my son feel bad about himself.

The suggestion that the studio has "proposed several positive behavior supports" for my son or "always endeavored" to collaborate with me is unequivocally false. I received one phone call in September asking what methods we use at home to promote listening after a 45 minute dance class where the children sat on the floor for the majority of the class. That is it.

The reality is that toddlers, just like everyone else, have varying attention spans and energy levels. Children should never be publicly shamed simply because their needs are different or unexpected. Using exclusionary punishment in an environment that is meant to be positive is unacceptable. It is unfortunate that rather than attempt to solicit constructive feedback, the studio's stance and response is defensive and defiant. It's my hope that this review puts other families on notice of this studio's business practices.

My daughter was invited by her friend to try out the Elementary Jazz class. She had such a great time and asked if she could continue. A few weeks later she is asking to try the tap class. I grew up in dance and have been in many studios. I was absolutely impressed with Studio Five Dance Co. The staff was SO friendly and helpful. The studio has a very nice and clean feel to it. We were even treated well by the other moms. Our daughter got very shy and shut down in her first class, but the teachers, and several other extremely sweet little girls in her class went out of their way to show her so much kindness and encouragement. My daughter Madisyn had he first class trial last week & we loved it! The staff were all amazing and friendly, they were all so kind to my daughter and made us feel so important welcome right away! Miss Ashley at the front desk even knew her name & had a name tag ready for her so all everyone in class would know her name. She loved her bop & tumble instructor miss jessi and can’t wait to go to class this week to learn more! We were happy to join the studio five family and look forward to a number of years dancing with together! My daughter has been going to Studio 5 since she was 2 years old! She is now a mini in their company (Synergy). She started with Tippy Toes Tappy Feet and now cannot decide between her classes! She just wants to take everything! She loves that all the "big girls" are so nice and helpful! She loves that everyone treats her like family! She hates to leave at the end of classes every day. She has some of her very best friends in her dance classes, and these are the people she talks about all the time.
My daughter has a lot of anxiety, and EVERY SINGLE instructor at Studio 5, has been nothing short of supportive and amazing! I have said it before, but this is Studio that supports every child and will never judge them for anything other then what they bring to the table. I would recommend them over and over!

This is a great dance studio amazing staff and really awesome dancers they make and all the dancers are really nice. Most of my friends are at this Studio these are the nicest people I have ever met. They got a new Studio a couple of years ago and it really impacted on the dancers of giving more room and more time to dance and dance full out. They bring so many amazing opportunity's by Dancing at Disney, Dancing in the Macy Thanksgiving Day Parade, Going to Competitions, and going to AMAZING Conventions such as NYCDA which impacted my life so much. I have been dancing here since I have been two and there has never been any flaws through these years. The staff is amazing they are super nice and super safe to be with and professionally trained which is super helpful for the Dancers. The owner is my Mom but when I look around she takes care of everything in a super helpful and nice way. Everyone has a chance to be an amazing dancer here. My daughter likes it so that's all that matters. Overall not that impressed so far. We enrolled her for a specific night because the instructor she did her trial with worked that night. She's not with that instructor. Guess we should have verified and that's on us. The spottv thing is kind of a joke. Constantly drops the feed. The WiFi isn't very good either. If you're going to close the lobby then maybe you should get better WiFi. We're here for 5 months. We'll see how it goes.

My daughter is on her second season with Studio 5. She’s loved dance and this year she has Miss Rae. Last year it seemed they were still in the process of hiring teachers and she went through a few during her Tippy Toes class. This year she’s in Kinder Club and I couldn’t say enough good things about Miss Rae. My daughter adores her, she’s very good at keeping time, she keeps the kids attention and she has so much energy and just radiates friendliness. Going against the science, CDC recommendations, and the Governor's orders and forcing children over the age of 2 to continuously wear a mask in the studio and while vigorously exercising is not the definition of a great dance studio. Love S5DC! We have been a part of this amazing studio for 4 seasons. They have a wonderful staff and some great events throughout the year to keep the kids engaged at the studio with a monster mash, a father daughter dance and more. The pandemic has hit everyone hard and from the very beginning they switched everything online and came up with creative ways to engage the dancers and our families. Now that the studio is back to in-person, they have taken extra measures to ensure the safety of each student. We can not wait to make more memories this season!

I danced here for 10 years, from 3rd grade until I graduated high school. I loved dancing here and made so many amazing friends and had the support of many teachers and families. I loved helping with assisting younger kids and being a buddy with their special needs program, High 5 Buddies. We danced at Studio 5 for 3 years. In 3 years, my daughter lost most of her ballet she already knew when she was 3 because they hardly focused on ballet. They only received around 30 minutes of ballet at max. Pointe Ballet is offered when it shouldn’t be due to the lack of ballet training which can cause injuries. Rules have never been enforced there unless it benefits the owners. It has a high school feel due to certain groups of moms and kids forming "cliques." If you are not a part of that group, you are not treated the same. They will gladly hand out awards and compliments to those moms, but not to the other parents who are not in those groups, who have also volunteered their time and efforts to support the studio. I feel it shows favoritism. I do not want my daughter nor our family to be a part of studio who allows bullying, drama, and high school "cliques." I feel like everyone should be recognized and appreciated when they have put the same efforts and volunteer time as those other parents in the cliques. Where is the awards for those other families who also deserved it? We also paid for a lyrical/ jazz class for a year and the dancers hardly got any lyrical training at all. The main focus was on jazz all year leaving only a month of lyrical training.Due to not enough practice their recital dance was a mess, which was a huge disappointment as well as the audio mess ups during competition and recital. You were told about certain important information (regarding competition/recital) at the last minute. Multiple times dancers were late due to not having the correct location information. Parents would have to message the owner asking where and when things were taking place. Another huge issue that occurred while we were there was witnessing a situation regarding another family with two daughters who had attended dance there for many years even before the owners currently took over the studio. Their one daughter was a part of the special needs program they offer. Their younger daughter was a part of dance troupe was being bullied by the owners daughter and other kids. Our daughter even witnessed bullying. Due to issues of bullying by the owners daughter as well as other dancers, and a heated discussion due to the lack of resolution on this matter, the owners became defensive instead and this family was not allowed to return to their dance classes or perform in recital. They have their daugnters in the yearbook with class pictures of them but their names were not even listed, like they did not exist other then their image. They clearly did that on purpose, especially since the timeline adds up. The yearbook was not completed until after this huge issue occurred and they already were not allowed to return to the studio even though it was not their girls' fault. After several times reaching out and no resolution they naturally became upset and frustrated. Their daughters have always been kind and respectful towards adults and dancers. The rules in the troupe handbook state bullying is not allowed when in fact it was allowed and no disciplinary measures were taken! The special needs daughter had nothing to do with this situation and it sadly effected her. Both girls looked forward to performing in the recital. Again it was neither girls fault for the poor behavior of other kids and lack of discipline. Their daughter who was bullied and apart of dance troupe worked hard this year with all her dances including a solo dance. Our daughter was also effected by this as she was close to their daughter. Kids are allowed to run around the studio inside and out side. Including unsupervised children under the age of 6 running in the parking lot. They lost 3 of our daughters teachers this year. We only stayed because of her teachers and friends. However after witnessing multiple issues and dealing with the negativity environment we made the decision not to return this year. I do not recommend studio 5 dance company.

There is nothing I don't like about Studio 5. The staff is friendly and it is well maintained. My daughters have been dancing there for 5 years and we wouldn't go anywhere else! It is family friendly and we've always been welcomed there. If you don't have a dance home, this is it.

My family moved to NC from IN right in the middle of our oldest daughter being in middle school, which is the worst time to move for a child. We found studio five and tried it our for a summer and fell in love. The owners, the kids, and the parents have all welcomed us into their studio family and have all been amazing. From the business side the owners are always trying to do everything they can to make this crazy dance life easier on everyone (examples of this would be doing all inclusive tuition so we don’t have random large amounts of expenses pop up throughout the year). My daughter is the happiest she has ever been and we can’t imagine dancing anywhere else!!

Terrible! I have been dancing there for 7 years. The owners are not very nice and the service is not very good . The owners children dance there and one of them was bullying me and some of the other girls and the owners made it out to be like it was our fault. The teachers were very nice and I loved working with them, but that's all I liked. They don't keep their studio clean and maintained. There are 3 different studios, one of those studios I got multiple splinters on the floor, one of which my mom could not remove and I had to have the doctor cut it out. I saw a roach in one of the bathrooms. The floors are also really dirty. Some of the dancers got plantar warts from the dirty floor. They also force all the families onto fundraising committees whether or not they want to take part in that. They have rules for the troupes that everyone breaks and gets away with. There is not enough ballet offered there and the owner refused to add more ballet classes even when several families made the request. We found a much better dance studio with better training and a nicer environment.

Love them! My daughter has so much fun in the classes. They keep the 4 year olds busy with fun dance activities for the hour of class. My daughter is able to speak with dance vocabulary and enjoys going to class. The new owners are fabulous.

We love this studio! We have been a member of the Studio Five family for five years now. We have been thrilled with the quality of instruction our daughter has received in 5 different styles of dance since she was 3 years old. The owners have always been so supportive as well as her teachers. We LOVE our Studio Five!

Terrible experience with the owners and treatment of my little girl and my fiance, would not recommend them nor their church here on Sunday to anyone. You have to pass their judgement review to be worthy of having a child attend, how crazy not customer service they treat you like their our your customer! Too bad was very convenient and she liked the last two months and was looking forward to the first program. Other dance studios in town that are so much more friendlier and their for the children not themselves.
