Life changing program here! I started with The Strength Lab almost 6 months ago and it has completely changed my health, my outlook, and my life. One of my favorite things is that the workouts aren’t an hour long - we accomplish so much in 35 minutes and that makes me more motivated to get there. The people are friendly and the coaches actually know what they’re doing and how to make it fun. I’m so glad I took the leap to invest in myself and look forward to continued success there!

I’ve been going to the Strength Lab for 6 months. Andy and his team, Mary, Cindy and Laura, are wonderful to work with. They are welcoming and supportive, knowledgeable and professional. The classes are fun and just the right length. I could not ask for a better place to build muscle, gain strength, and improve balance.

Strength training for women over 40 is not only beneficial but essential for maintaining overall health and well-being. As women age, we naturally experience a decline in muscle mass and bone density, which can lead to increased risk of injury and conditions like osteoporosis. Engaging in regular strength training can help counteract these effects by promoting muscle growth, enhancing metabolism. It also aids in weight management, increases energy levels, and improves balance and coordination, which are crucial as one ages.

If this sounds like you, come join us! Andy is a great coach!

The Strength Lab is an amazing weight training gym. The best part is the owner, coach, motivator, cheerleader-Andy Martin! It’s the program I’ve been looking for. I’m surprised to find exactly how I want to add movement and strength because I’ve rarely loved exercising. Andy has a way of understanding people and helping them challenge their bodies. I am totally motivated to improve because Andy is a great motivator, coach and trainer. I each of us get personal attention as Andy wants us to do the movement for the maximum benefit. The class is fun and rewarding. - I actually love what I’m doing there to stay strong and mobile. Each workout is different so we are never doing the same exact movements.. I highly recommend Andy and The Strength Lab!

At 66, overweight, having not exercised for several years and completely overwhelmed by stress, I joined the Strength Lab. I am so grateful I did! My progress has been slower than others, however I am making slow and steady progress with the help of Coach Andy, the other coaches and the encouragement & kindness of the participants. The day I joined was a gift I gave myself and my family. Thank you Coach Andy and everyone at the Strength Lab.

I have been training with Andy for two years. When we began, Andy and I first discussed my specific goals and needs and he tailored my training around my age-specific lifestyle skills. Since beginning training, I have seen the results in an improvement of my strength, energy and resilience. Andy is a strong motivator who operates a first-class facility. He is a professional, experienced, and knowledgeable trainer that I highly recommend.

I am so thankful for The Strength Lab, Coach Andrew & Mary and the changes I have seen in my abilities in just three months! I am a caregiver for my adult son and had noticed over the years a decrease in my strength and an increase in strains and issues in my shoulders and back. After just a short while of going to TSL three times a week and walking on other days, I am seeing amazing changes… more energy, increase in strength and decrease in shoulder and back issues and just feeling much better overall. It has been a very important life change for me. My son notices a difference in my strength as well! If you, like me, are noticing changes as you age, I highly recommend you take a chance and try this strength training class!❤️

This gym is different than many I have tried over the years, Personal approach and very supportive group. Andy is extremely positive and speaks truth about regular people getting fit. The workouts are effective but also simple so a beginner can safely build strength and better fitness. There are several clients who have been coming for years. I like the changes I see since I started a couple months ago and it propels me forward to keep up these new habits,. What a difference!

Working out with Andy at The Strength Lab is an amazing experience. Initially I was skeptical about a 30 minute workout, but it totally works with out being a ‘high intensity’ workout I can’t maintain. He keeps me moving and getting stronger all the time. He’s very motivating and knows his stuff about the body and how not to get injured working out. He incorporates things I use in everyday life so that I can do those things too with strength and stability without injury. His whole goal is mobility through strength and movement & he teaches it brilliantly. I couldn’t be happier!

I've really loved my time at TPF with personal trainer, Andy. His encouragement, know-how, and support got me back into believing I could have a healthy, active life again. When I started, I wasn't even able to do a small percentage of the activities I used to. After a year, I'm back to living an active, happy life. In addition to the health benefits, the people you get to work out with are fun, supportive, and dedicated - great atmosphere for the 30 somethings to 70 somethings!

I have been a member of TPF for over 2 years. I have never in my exercise career stuck with anything longer than a year. Andy's passion for strength and mobility has opened my eyes to how critical these two things are if we want to move well in our 50's, 60's, and beyond. There is freedom in knowing I can carry a large bag of dog food or help a neighbor move a sofa. I am no longer afraid of heavy weights because I know my body is capable of so much more than I ever gave it credit.

I started fitness training at Tri Pillar Fitness about 5-6 weeks ago. I love the small group classes (just up to 10 at a time), the chance for more individual attention (Andrew helps you make sure you are doing the exercises correctly), and the efficient use of training time. I can already tell I have more energy and better mobility. This is one program I can stick with!

I would never have claimed to be athletic, though I have always been active but as middle age approached I found I myself feeling like I was losing some strength. My regular exercise, cycling, wasn’t enough and my hopes of growing in ability there seemed to be stagnating. After a simple health check my general practitioner recommended that I add a weight bearing activity due to certain risk factors.
After discussing my needs with others, I went to TriPillar Fitness to see what it was about and how it might help me. Now I can’t imagine not going. The morning crew may be sleepy but we work hard together on movement and with weight to improve our flexibility and increase our durability. Andrew teaches us how to move and motivates us to to the easy stuff. He convinces is that it is all easy stuff. A push up, a pull up, lifting more than I weigh, none of those things were even a thought 2 years ago and now l either can or know I will.
Oh, and my cycling has definitely improved! I am stronger and have more stamina than I ever imagined. Full time work, parenting, and back in college, the increased energy is serving me well.

Tri Pillar has been a life changer for me! I'm in need of a knee replacement and have had surgery on my other knee. I'm trying to put off surgery as long as possible. Working with Andy has greatly increased my strength in my legs, glutes, and all the supporting muscles in order to be able to go about my life feeling strong. My range of motion has significantly improved and as a bonus I'm fitting into jeans from over 2 years ago! I love the small group training and the overall environment! I've even given his cards to my Orthopedic surgeon and my family MD. Invest in yourself!

I hate exercise, yet somehow I love coming here. We are always doing something different and for only 30 minutes! Because the classes are small, Andy is able to help each one of us with our form to make sure we lift properly. I've been coming here just 8 weeks and I notice I don't have as much trouble lifting heavy things. Can't wait to see where I am in another 8 weeks!

Tri Pillar Fitness is a life-changer! The instruction is personal and the atmosphere is very supportive. No "gym intimidation" here. Small classes with excellent training by Andy Martin who is an expert in his field. His workouts focus on building strength, endurance, and balance. At almost 60, I am stronger and have more energy than I did in my 40s!

Andy is amazing! I’ve worked with multiple “trainers” and been to my share of gyms. Andy’s approach and philosophy is such a breath of fresh air. It isn’t complicated and his goal is not to make you do the hardest workout of your life. It is all about progress, staying strong and being smart about how you train and move. In class or online Andy brings the energy, excitement, coaching and encouragement that you need. He will correct bad form. He is there with you watching and coaching throughout the workout! That is what a trainer should do. How many of us have settled for someone or somewhere that they say “go do this” and they don’t coach or encourage you?? Andy couldn’t be more of the opposite. Andy is an all around great person to get to know. He loves what he does and it shows! Talk to him about what you want to accomplish and I have no doubt he can get you there. Talk to any of his clients and they will tell you the same thing. If you aren’t working out with Andy and TPF you are missing out!

I started at the ground level if there ever was one. Over 50 and north of 300 pounds. Andy has put me through my paces in a controlled, supportive and extremely non-judgemental manner. He switches up the workouts as needed and is honest about form and achievement. HIGHLY recommended whether you are starting your quest for better health or experienced and looking for new approaches.

I have been working out with Andy for several months now and he has been one of the most upbeat motivating instructors I could have. I appreciate his energy and passion since that’s what helps motivate me to exceed my own expectations. The best part is I get an intense workout with great people all in 30 minutes! So glad I discovered Tri Pillar Fitness!!

If anyone in the area is looking for an amazing place to work out I highly recommend giving Andy a call. I can’t say enough good things about this place, his coaching style & methods. I really enjoy the group session aspect (i know he also offers 1-on-1 as well) and Andy is constantly walking around to each person to make sure they are doing the movement/exercise correctly. No matter where you are in your fitness journey, we are going to experience aches & pains, especially for muscles we haven't used in a while. If you let Andy know what is bothering you, he will make sure your doing the exercise correctly &/or suggest an alternative movement

I've been a client for about 6 weeks, and the improvement in that time is remarkable in terms of fitness and strength building. I'm in my 50s, with an autoimmune condition, and even though I was a semi-regular gym visitor, I had lost a lot of strength and fitness over the last 5-10 years. Andy was willing to learn about my autoimmune condition and to take the time to assess my range of motion and strength prior to joining classes. The honest truth is that class number 1 at Tri Pillar kicked my butt. Classes number 2 and beyond have been fantastic, leaving me feeling like I've had a good workout, but not so much that I'm going to be in pain afterwards. The classes are a quick workout, as intense as you want them to be, and fully customizable to any personal limitations. Since joining, I have gone from feeling like the gym is a chore to be endured to feeling excited about my classes at Tri Pillar. Andy is the real deal - super enthusiastic, kind and knowledgeable. He really cares about his clients' progress, and he creates a culture where class participants cheer and motivate, rather than compete against, one another. Andy's goal is for his clients to live a fuller life, to be able to participate pain free in more activities, rather than to fit into a size 0 or to hit a certain number on the scale.

I was losing strength, by balance was really poor and I noticed that I had little stamina. In short, I knew I needed help if I was going to be active for much longer. You see, I am 80 years old and in good physical health but life was leaving me behind. Not anymore! Working with Andy at TPF is like a shot of caffeine to my psyche. Andy started training me where I was and I have progressed at an amazing speed. After only two months I’m stronger by far, feel great and enjoy every minute of my sessions. He has so much passion and knowledge about the entire body, which he teaches as be trains. I love that! He’s a trainer, teacher and cheerleader all in one. I can’t wait to see what else I can accomplish. With Andy’s “baby stuff,” piece of cake” and “that’s what I’m talking about!” encouragements, I can’t fail.

TPF is so much more than other gyms out there. Owner/Trainer Andy Martin has a passion for physical fitness for all, regardless of age. He wants all his members to live an active lifestyle for the rest of their lives. Andy shares regularly the why behind the workouts we do. He coaches each of us throughout the workout to ensure we are getting the most out of it. If you say you are going to be there and you are not able to make it, you can expect a message, not to ridicule but to ensure all is good. I actually hate to miss a session as I can feel the many positive changes. Most of the aches and pains I was experiencing as I get older have gone. My energy level is up, and I am able to focus clearly throughout the day.
Recently, I was struggling with some lower back pain. Andy coached me through it with stretches and adaptions to the work out so that I didn’t give up. In the past, I would have given up and walked away. I cannot thank him enough for helping me through it. I also want to recognize, Heather Martin, Neuromuscular Massage Therapist, for helping eliminate my pain. They are quite the team!
The members are great as well. We support, encourage and make each other laugh. I like to think of them as my gym family. I have been a member of TPF since it opened in Clemmons this past February and see myself remaining a member for years to come. Please come check out TPF and all it has to offer. You will not be disappointed, I promise.

I’ve been going to TPF for four months and I can feel a huge difference. I feel much stronger and have more energy. I’ve never gone to a gym before because I was always afraid I would do everything wrong and hurt myself. The great thing about TPF is the classes are small enough that everyone can get personal training, but the group setting makes it more affordable than one on one personal training. Andy does a great job of making the workouts fun and challenging. He makes sure everyone is using proper form and is great at modifying exercises if the movement causes any pain for you. There is a ton of encouragement from him and the others in the class. I highly recommend TPF.

I've been working out with Andy since he opened the TPF doors in February 2019. The changes both physically and mentally have been fantastic! Being an athlete in my younger years has translated to aches and pains I thought I was stuck with now that I'm older. Andy has helped me retrain my mind to know I'm strong and capable and my body proves it with every class. I look forward to the challenges each class brings and the camaraderie the TPF family provides.
