Any business that has to belittle another to promote itself is not worth my time. And a good gym doesn't need to run smear campaigns to get business.... a good gym speaks through members, results and community.

The value of this gym can't be overstated. Larger gyms may have more equipment and floor space, but the membership cap is astronomical, creating a crowded, undesirable workout experience. Cheaper gyms are just that; cheap from the bottom to the top. This is an almost perfect environment for fitness and strength improvement. Reasonably large space with absolute top of the line equipment. It becomes obvious the equipment was carefully chosen for maximum usability with no oddball machines that no one ever uses.
Finally, and the greatest benefit, the coach. He has years of experience and knows what each member needs to make real progress. Under his leadership I've made strides in both strength and fitness I would've never thought possible a few months ago.
This place stands head and shoulders above and other gym in Raleigh.

Never did I imagine that weightlifting would be part of my longevity journey at 65+ years of age. I am 6 months into my plan after reading Outlive and How not to Die. ZFit and Ryan have allowed me to exceed my expectations regarding muscle mass, grip strength and total body strength. I like the atmosphere and the people I have met. I look forward to going everyday. I hope to do ZFit for the next 30 years.

I was hooked instantly specifically by the unique weightlifting in a group class setting. It allows for strength workouts that are focused on each individual while having the support & accountability of a group class environment. Zfit’s program balances strength exercise & functional, intentional cardio exercise better than any gym program I have experienced. I came to Z Fit in august ‘22 thinking i was pretty fit. Through Ryan’s programming, I’ve learned to push myself harder than I thought I could. I’ve lost a considerable % body fat, gained pounds of muscle, and greatly improved my cardio endurance. Plusssss I’ve gained some pretty awesome friends from the gym.
This is not your average “group fitness” situation. Nothing like that all. While we do work out together in classes, your weights are tailored to your fitness level and grow as you grow throughout the 18-week training cycles. Its been fun to feel myself get stronger!

I’ve been attending classes here for 2.5 years. As it’s grown, the owner and trainer, has done a great job of adapting programming and schedules to accommodate members various schedules. There are multiple classes each day so if I have weird day, I can often go to class at a different time. Additionally, the community that is maintained through classes and events is unique to other fitness providers. I have support, encouragement, accountability, and more from Ryan and other gym members. It’s the best blend of affordability while still getting individual attention to meet my fitness goals.

I started my journey of better health and fitness at Z-Fit on July 4, 2022. After many attempts to find a place that I wouldn't get burned out or injured in the first couple weeks, Z-Fit was my answer. The functional fitness classes and weigh training has been spot on and being able to train with others with all fitness levels has been an added bonus. The community there is very encouraging and being able to achieve goals and see others advance as well just adds to the fun. Yes, we have fun! I'm 1 1/2 years in and feel like I'm in the best shape of my life. I'm 54 and can do things now that I couldn't do when I was in my 20s and 30s. I highly recommend anyone looking to improve your health and fitness to come work out with us at Z-Fit.

I’ve been a member of Z-Fit for six months and I am healthier than I’ve ever been. If you care about increasing your strength and overall fitness level there is no better place than ZFIT with coach Ryan Zimmerman. I have been going since October and my strength, endurance and mobility all have significantly improved. The best part is the community. I really enjoy the workouts and the support I receive from others and Ryan. I want to wake up everyday at 4:30 to make the 5 am class! He also has 6 am, 9 am and 12 pm classes. Lastly, I am not just not another registration number. Ryan (and members) want to see you succeed. He tracks everyone’s progress and personally guides each member to their next fitness level.

Update: I went for one month to Orange Theory and now I have been with Z-Fit for one month. In both places I did what was asked of me. With OTf - I lost no weight. With Z-Fit I lost 6 pounds and 4 percent body fat.

All it took was one class and I said 'sign me up.' In contrast to every other workout I had at other gyms (from the big ones to the small ones), I actually enjoyed this workout and not once -- during the grueling 50 minute training on a Saturday morning -- did I have to psych myself up: I was too focused on doing the work and I was actually having fun.

In the mere two-weeks I have been a member at Z-Fit, I have already seen changes in my physical strength, my posture, my energy level, and, I've been told, I look better. That's because Z-Fit isn't a gym where we do our own stuff, struggle and leave; rather, every workout is designed to be part of a plan. In other words, workouts aren't merely exercise -- they are part of a fitness plan, a fitness regimen.

But that isn't all. Coach Ryan Zimmerman actually cares about his members; we aren't numbers on an excel spreadsheet with the aim of increasing profit. Ryan is experienced (with more than 17 years experience) and genuine. He cares about our well-being and watches out for us -- giving us the needed support to reach our individual goals.

Consequently, Z-Fit has become a community where -- yes -- 'everybody knows your name,' and I feel supported by every member.

Personally, I'm quite grateful that I was referred to Z-Fit, and feel thrilled to send others here as well.

After belonging to multiple gyms in Raleigh since 2004, I finally feel like I have found my “gym home”. The owner and coach, Ryan, has been encouraging, supportive, but also challenges you. I like that he makes sure you are using the correct form to not only better your own physique, but also to help prevent injury. The format of the program works well for me personally. I love mixing it up every other day with strength taining one day and cardio circuit training the next day. I feel like all parts of my body are getting toned, while at the same time maintaining good cardiovascular stamina. An added bonus is that the community of people that are members of this gym are encouraging, kind and supportive consistently. I’m thankful to a friend of mine who encouraged me to try it out because it has been an amazing experience for me personally.
