My kids have been swimming here for 5 years, with a one-year break during COVID. Unfortunately, the quality has declined since the facility changed hands from a dedicated single owner to a larger company. I voiced concerns about safety and instruction—specifically, new swimmers and children with special needs being placed in the same lane—but they seemed uninterested in addressing the issue. Disappointing experience overall.

Great experience with TSS Cary. Coach Kevin is very experienced and patient. He works around with whatever is comfortable for you and slowly eases the fear and builds your technique and confidence. Thoroughly recommended triangle swim school and coach Kevin! The management is quite good and very responsive. The facility is well maintained as well.

I recently enrolled my child in swim classes at this facility, and while the instruction has been decent, I’m disappointed with their policies. Despite snow already starting to fall, they chose to remain open for classes, which seemed unsafe for both students and staff. Additionally, they do not offer make-up classes if you miss one, even due to weather-related issues. This lack of flexibility and concern for safety during inclement weather makes me hesitant to continue. I hope they reconsider their approach in the future for the safety and convenience of their customers.

We have tried a couple of swim schools in the Cary/Morrisville area and TSS Cary is by far the best one. The local management and ownership group should be commended on maintaining a high level of consistency in the coaching. We have been coming here for a few years now and highly recommend TSS Cary.

This wasn't really what I expected, maybe it would have been better for older kids but for infants it's really not swim lessons, it's more just sprinkling water on their heads to get them used to a pool. Every lesson is the same so it doesn't really help you progress in any way. It's a single pool with some cleanish but stinky bathrooms. And they do tell you this but keep in mind, you have to cancel 30 days in advance so even though I cancelled immediately I still had to pay for 5 more weeks. Again, may be better for the older kids.

We recently joined triangle swim school and my kids are loving their coaches Ricky and Ana. They both do an amazing job!

The pool is great however I had a rude experience with the Cary facility director. I had a request about a class which was within reason and nothing out of ordinary or schedule. However, the director had NO patience to even listen to what I was requesting and was extremely rude and loud to me. Both parents around and coaches were extremely uncomfortable with what they heard.

I want to reiterate that all the other staff and the coaches are extremely kind, talented and amazing but I worry that the facility will lose amazing coaches and parents due to experiences like mine specifically if this is how they are treated by the center director.

I also wish the facility had more showers.

Perfectly unassuming, the Triangle Swim School has been great for our toddler. He's learning swim safety and comfort in pre-swim positions with staff who are kind and attentive. The facility is tucked away but offers a comfortable place with lots of aides and toys to keep swimming fun. Our coach was Sarah and she worked 1:1 within the class setting and gave coaching and practice techniques for us to try on our own. Well worth it for the peace of mind of water safety.

Highly recommend! It didn’t take us too long to get off of a waitlist, the ratio is 2:1 so each kid gets a lot of attention, and the coach we have (Myra) seems amazing so far. My 4 year old was really nervous all day for his first lesson and loved it immediately and can’t wait to go back. :)

I was impressed in the first 15 min of my child's class than I was for a year at Aqua tots. My child was being told, even though she was more experienced in what level she was placed in, she couldn't move up til she learned certain moves. She literally did that for the couch within the first 15 min of her FIRST class!!! Not only were the couches nice, experts and patient, I finally feel like she gonna get the RIGHT training in swimming she need to be confident in the water. So happy I found you guys!

Triangle Swim School is hands down the BEST place for kids to learn to swim rapidly and well in the Triangle. The progress your kids will make, including early comfort in the water, is so valuable, and the price is worth it for the amount your child will learn quickly. Your child will learn more in one lesson with TSS than he or she might learn in multiple lessons elsewhere...a true time saver for parents and a true confidence builder for kids.

Coach Matt is a wonderful swim instructor and has coached all of my children over the years, and his staff is well-trained under him in methods he has perfected over his many years of teaching and coaching, although his expertise as a teacher makes him extra special if you are lucky enough to get him as a teacher.

They are busy because they are great and thus in demand, so it is worth the waitlist if there is one. If you want your child to learn to swim, I cannot recommend TSS more highly as I am a very grateful parent with solid swimmers thanks to their fantastic program. This place is amazing! Kaitlyn is an awesome instructor. When I first started swimming I didn’t know anything! I had a fear of water, due to an experience I had as a child. After a couple of months I had progressed and was doing breast stroke, back stroke, butterfly, and freestyle. Kaitlyn is by far the best swimming instructor I have ever had. She is very good with adults! We all have reservations with being taught as an adult, but she is very patient.

We are very happy with our experience at TSS.
My kids were in a different program prior to joining TSS and it was a waste of time. After just 1 class at TSS, the kids learned more than the couple months at the other program. We love that our kids can be in the same class so we aren't trying to coordinate different schedules. Wish we had found this place sooner but thankful we are here now. The kids love it and we are happy with the value.

TIP: Leave a message as they request since they are understaffed. I had a hard time reaching them but they did call us back when a spot opened up for our kids.

Coach Matt and Coach Ishitha were both very patience with me. I had a fear of water and wasn’t particularly comfortable to put my head in water. My two daughters (3 and 6) take a lesson together (shared 30 minute session). I like the format because they get more individual instruction than a larger group class. The price is comparable to other places we looked at though those places were group classes so this is better bang for your buck. Coach Caroline is great and my girls like her a lot. We LOVE Triangle Swim School! High quality instruction. My daughter has improved so much since we started here. We’ve tried other schools but they have 4 kids per teacher for 30 minute sessions. You can’t beat this place. Their training is amazing and don’t get me started on the cost per minute of these classes compared to others and the number of kids they have in those classes. Their instructors have been instrumental in teaching my daughter each technique properly and she looks like she just glides across the water. I didn’t have to constantly worry while swimming in public pools that she may drown. My daughter started when she was 2.5 and now at 10 is excelling in her year round swim team and loves it. Now my 4 year old comes and he loves it. We live in Holly Springs so I can say without a doubt this place is worth our drive.

I will add they have a very effective covid policy in place. For distancing, required masks, instructors wear face shields, clean after each class - they remain very cautious.

At first it looks like play. Over time the instructor builds on it so gently, so effortlessly, that after 3 months of 1/week lessons my 4yo is super confident in the water, is starting to control her breath, can go under water without holding her nose, demontrates good form in breast stroke and can nearly independently climb out if the pool and back jump in.

This has been such a great place to swim. Our now 4-year-old daughter has so much fun (we have been coming here off-and-on since she was 2). The two-per-instructor class size we’re currently in provides an excellent balance between instructional time and fun time, as kids are given a floating vest to safely play around while Coach Laurie (who is awesome) helps the other student.

We have been going to Triangle Swim School for several years now. Our kids started as non-swimmers with a negative view of swimming from a different swim program. Both children (under 10) can now swim the entire length of the pool with several strokes and actually enjoy coming to lessons. On the negative side, we have had several instructors over the years and sometimes the churn has been difficult. That's probably an issue anywhere though. Right now we are having a great experience with Kylie. She does an awesome job teaching kids and remains patient even when we aren't being the best listeners.
Their COVID handling has been great with solid distancing between families and good enforcement of masks, face shields, and pool treatment.

Triangle Swim School has been such a blessing for me and my kids, especially during this crazy COVID season! It’s been so nice to have a safe place for them to burn off some energy outside the house, learn how to swim/ develop water safety skills, and get some social interaction with others SAFELY! Each instructor is SUPER spaced out across the pool, AND there’s only 1-2 kids per instructor (depending on which class type you choose/ how many others wanted that same time slot with that instructor)! Since both my boys are old enough for the semi-private class (ages 4 and 8), they are able to be in a class of their own together with at least 15-20 ft between them and any other kids in the pool (at the Cary location). We have had a few different instructors over the past year and a half (Julia, David, Jesse, and Natalie), and the kids have loved each and every one. All TSS staff wears a face shield at all times (since the summer of 2020 due to COVID) even in the water, and they maintain the highest safety standards (i.e. wiping down the pool ladders before/ after each class, requiring temperature checks for all that enter the building, having a dedicated entrance and exit to the building to reduce contact, etc.) It creates for a really low stress, safe environment for me and my kids, unlike the unpredictable environment that most other sports and public pools tend to create when multiple kids are brought together. We highly recommend!!

We just started with triangle swim school and I have been so impressed. Wanna give a big shout out to Triangle Swim School! My wife and I looked for a swimming class in Cary to register for our daughter. We didn't notice that the class we picked was located in north Raleigh until we found out in the Cary location class. However, Matt was able to help us fix all messes we made, and we were able to register a class in Cary for November. Although we showed up in the wrong class location (and because of that, we know our daughter wouldn't be able to swim on that day), Matt find a coach to play with my daughter for a while, just want her to be happy about the visit and doesn't disappoint her due to the mistake we made as the parents. I also see all coaches make connection with their students, which is really nice to see. We can tell that all the staff in Triangle Swim School are super professional in many ways. If you want to find an awesome swimming class for your kids, then Triangle Swim School is definitely the right one for that purpose. You won't regret that.

My 3 yr old has been learning swimming at TSS since last September. We had private lesson with Coach Kevin R. He was amazing and my daughter loves him. TSS teach kid swimming the right way from the beginning. I have a year round swimmer, my older one, who learned her first strokes in another swimming school but I feel like TSS teaches better technique. I can see my 3yr old do a very good freestyle and backstroke from the beginning. Definitely recommend this place if you have a young child and like to get them into swimming. and I also highly recommend Coach Kevin R. My kids and I go swimming at TSS. Being a mother of 2 young kids it was hard to find a good swim school with flexible schedule. TSS came to my rescue and accommodated me in a late night class. David (my coach) is very good. Thanks TSS and David for teaching me how to swim and making me confident in and under water. You guys are the best!!!

Indoor pool and Kevin is a good trainer. But the facility has no shower, only changing rooms. Also expensive at $92 per month for 4# 30 minute semi private classes (30 min for 2 students per trainer in one lane) and a $35 registration fee. And they need 2 months committment.

My 3-year-old daughter has been swimming with Coach Katya for a few months, and we are extremely happy! Each week, my daughter bounces into Triangle Swim School with the excitement of a child on Christmas morning. The only day of the week she knows by name is Tuesday because of her swim class. Every morning she wakes up and asks if it’s Tuesday. She gets ample personal coaching from Coach Katya during her 30-minute lesson because of the 2:1 swimmer to coach ratio. My daughter has also made a true friend with her swimming partner which has been an added bonus of the small class size. They have a blast together. Coach Katya is like a Disney cast member. She goes above and beyond to put smiles on their faces, keep them engaged, and keep them learning. She brings the magic and imagination too. Pretending to swim from a shark always gets them laughing (and practicing kicking)! The pool is indoors, and the water temperature is the perfect warm. There is no dreading jumping into a cold pool. As a parent, I sit on one of the benches right beside the pool, and I get a front row seat at watching my daughter having a blast. But I also get a much needed thirty minutes of time to myself! I love the pool activity because my daughter learns water safety and swimming abilities which can truly be a life-saving skill. Additionally, she is worn out after practice which makes for a smooth bedtime! As a former collegiate swimmer, my husband has enjoyed watching his daughter kindle a true love for the sport. If you’re looking for an activity for your child, pick swimming and select this school. You will be so happy you did.

We did read all the reviews before deciding to put our son here. We wanted him to learn the right way as the foundation. We want him to be good at free style but he's not the most focus child in the room in anyway. We know this would be a challenge for his coach. After a few classes, we can see his improvement! Especially when he's under the attention of this gentlemen. He's the best swimming coach we've ever met ( previously enrolled in other swim school in Cary). We will keep him here to learn as much as possible.. definitely worth every penny!

We switched to TSS from another swimming school about 10 months ago. My child really enjoys her time here at TSS. My child has been working with two coaches so far, coach Morgan and coach Kevin. Both coaches are really good with kids, my child always has fun in the class and really makes a lot progress in the past 10 months.

My 5yo kid has been working with coach Morgan at Triangle Swim School for over an year now and we are extremely satisfied. Our kid made great progress over the past year, coach has been very great with kids, and the kid to coach ratio is also 2:1 getting more personal care. This place is absolutely the best in the area.

My 6yo and 4yo have been with Coach David for a few months and we couldn’t be happier. The excitement my kids have before every swim class says it all! They have so much fun that it really doesn’t feel like learning and the peace of mind I get knowing my kids are learning water safety and swimming skills are priceless. Coach David is absolutely amazing with them and we are so happy to have him as our coach. My 4yo very rarely smiles or talks to people outside of immediate family and she has laughed and softly spoken to coach David after only a few classes. That is a huge deal for her and it just speaks to how great Triangle Swim School (especially coach David) is!!

We are off to a tremendous start with Triangle Swim School! After months of lessons at a different swimming school with very little progress, we decided to try something different and are very glad we did. The low ratios, more customized lessons, and rapport built between the teachers and students are a much better fit for my child and his confidence in the water is excelling rapidly! My child is already a raving fan!

I can't recommend Coach Drew at Triangle Swim School highly enough. My daughter has been taking lessons with him for almost 2 years and he has taken her from extreme beginner to a real swimmer! He makes working in proper stroke technique so fun that she doesn't even realize its work! Her lesson is a highlight of our week!

Both of my kids learned to swim with TSS, and I always recommend them to friends when they ask where they should send their kids for lessons. TSS has THE BEST swimming lesson program in the area. Over the years, we have had Mary, Drew, and Midori as instructors, and I am very thankful for their work with my kids.

A competitive swimmer my whole life and a college athlete, I was looking for a swim program that would work with my children to 1) get them swimming quickly and 2) teach them to swim all of the strokes properly with correct technique.

Most swimming lesson programs have too many kids per instructor and don't focus early enough on the key element of proper body position in the water. They may focus on kicking, arms cycles, and blowing bubbles/breathing, but they never really teach the kids how to stay on top of the water. The result is that kids can go to lessons for months without actually learning to swim on their own or without making much progress in their stroke technique.

TSS is different because the instructors focus on getting the kids to learn proper body position, which includes becoming comfortable putting their faces in the water very early. Without proper body position, swimming is very difficult. Also, because the class sizes are so small, each child gets significant one-on-one time with the instructor that allows for faster learning. I HIGHLY recommend TSS as the place to learn to swim in the Triangle. It is well worth it.

When my son began taking swim lessons at TSS, he had experience with being in the water, but did not like getting water on his face and was fearful of floating or going underwater. He barely tolerated water even splashing his face. His teacher, Midori, has been very patient and persistent, and just last week he floated without any help. He was very proud of himself! He looks forward to his swim lessons every week. It is clear that they try and teach children how to swim the correct way, but keep it very fun and as play-oriented as possible. We have enjoyed our experience at TSS, and would definitely recommend it to our friends and family!

Teachers are great. My 2.5 and 4 yr olds do a sibling class and coach Melanie is good at tailoring things to their level. It's expensive but they are definitely getting more comfortable in the water and it gives us peace of mind since we don't go swimming enough to teach them regularly ourselves.

TSS is wonderful!!! My son is taking his swimming lessons with TSS since 2011. He has taken instructions from many coaches at different levels. TSS has done a great job in teaching my son swim! All the coaches he had so far are very friendly, patient and talented. I now have my daughter here too for swim lessons. Each coach has taken time to figure out the best approach for working with my kids. My kids have picked up excellent water safety and swim skills. They love going to their swimming class every week!!!

I personally like TSS because of its being year around, flexible, talented coaches, swimming techniques, location, good/safe pool and clean water. I would highly recommend this place.
