I highly recommend this taekwondo school. The staff are all kind but don’t take silliness which is why I recommend here because they can teach every student discipline. I am a first fan black belt and have been at this school for about four years so i know the staff well and it has been a great experience overall. If anyone were to choose a taekwondo school it should be this one.

Hello my name is Jaden and I’m 13 , I am a student, participant, and educator, at U.S. Taekwondo Center. I am also part of there leadership class and an assistant instructor. I highly recommend U.S. Taekwondo Center because it changed my life it made who I wanted to become, I was learning how to be apart of something and how to interact with people and there personalities. I was loving that I had something to do every week and I was on a schedule it made me understand responsibility and that really helps me out now and definitely in the future. Taekwondo also helps me with my focus which can lead me to my goals in my future for education, sports, and a career on what I want to do. I also seem to be a leader and be capable of doing things I may never thought I could ever do and the reason is because of U.S. taekwondo Center and the instructors and my master that guided me to where I am now. And you will never meet someone as caring as Master Kim he is the most interacting person I met he is like someone you would love to be when you grow up and the instructors are so caring as well they understand what’s wrong so easily and helps you right away and persuades you to be the best you can. And Master Kim will boost your confidence up when you doubt yourself so much and he encourages you to be the best you can. That’s why I love going to taekwondo because it gives me a reason to do something and set a goal and achieve that goal and it’s such a wonderful place to be at.That’s my opinion and my review on U.S. Taekwondo Center.

My grandson comes to stay the month of June & 3 days every week he spends 1 hour with Master Kim. Master Kim teachings through fun activities that strengthen not only the body but the mind also. He takes time with each student giving the extra attention they may need to improve a kick or any style that they are working on. This is our second year with Master Kim and as long as he is teaching and my grandson visits he will be in his classes.
I am so happy that I found U.S. Taekwondo Center and when the end of June comes my grandson is sad to leave, but when he leaves he leaves with all the knowledge he has learned to take home with him. Thank you Master Kim!

I have 8yrs old girl and 4yrs old boy. It was hard for me to find after school activities that allow both children to participate at the same time. Fortunately, US taekwondo center provides trainings for all age group and the specialized techniques depending on their fitness levels and physical abilities.

Master Kim is professional and enthusiastic. Also, he is hilarious to make children laugh and smile during the exercise. After watching how he administers the class for several months, I realize that he cares not only the physical aspects of taekwondo, but also focuses discipline and respect. My children are dedicated because of self-esteem he gives them and they have learned self-control, attitude, focus, and confidence. Both of my children truly enjoy Taekwondo classes and they look forward to going to class. As a mom, I truly enjoy watching them grow happily. I highly recommend US Taekwondo center to everyone, beginners to experts.

Most of my friends participate in team sports such as soccer or basketball. I have never been that interested in team sports so I missed out on the physical exercise, skill practice and goal setting that my friends were experiencing. When my father got me involved in Taekwondo I did not know how it would change my life. In the beginning I was not strong, had little flexibility, and was a little impatient. Two years later I am a very different person.
As I earned each belt in my training, my body changed and my behavior changed. Physically, I am much more flexible and have better coordination. I have become stronger and have greater balance. The things I can do now like breaking boards, Jumping back spin kicks, and side kicks have given me so much confidence. I am more focused in school now. Having to set goals to earn each Taekwondo belt has helped me set goals in my schoolwork and projects. I am so much better at managing all my work like taking my summer reading and completing my Spanish project without any help. The repetition and discipline I experience in Taekwondo are skills that I use everyday. I am starting middle school this year. I know it will be a lot more challenging than lower school. I am going to use what I have learning in Taekwondo are skills that I use everyday.
Master Kim has been a great teacher and has taught me how to be more respectful not just to him but to everyone. People seem to really notice this because they tell my parents about how I show courtesy and respect when I have sleepovers or paly dates with my friends. Master Kim has pushed me to improve my Taekwondo skills and taught me how to be more goal oriented. At first, I just wanted to achieve my black belt. Now I hope to go beyond that to achieve a second-degree black belt.
I am starting middle school this year. I know it will be a lot more challenging that lower school. I am going to use what I have learned in Taekwondo to help me succeed. I plan to stay focused, work hard, and make good grades. I am more focused in everything I do. I think more clearly now. I do not get distracted from the task at hand as much as I used to. I have been able to help my dad at work. I help my mom around the house with chores. Maybe one day I will even try playing team sports.
I really like Taekwondo because it represents true personal achievement for me. Achieving my black belt would mean that I can do what I set my mind to do. It would give me a sense of accomplishment and pride that I worked hare and did not give up. Taekwondo has helped me connect with my dad better. I know my dad is proud of me for sticking with it and going after my black belt. In summary, Taekwondo has made me a better total person. I look forward to my next challenge in Taekwondo and in life.

I've been going here since November and absolutely love this school! The instructor is amazing and good at helping you in your specific area of need. Having a background in taekwando for the past 3 years I have learned so much from multiple schools. U.S. Taekwando Center however has a truly amazing master that will work with your strengths and weaknesses to a degree that only continues to improve what needs to be improved upon and perfect what is already strong. Master Kim has an amazing children's class where it is very obvious that he cares about the quality of training his children are receiving! Whether it be keeping the children's attention (which is a miracle in itself) or instructing a new technique to the child, I have not seen a better instructor thus far in my 6 year of martial arts training in general. And to top it all off his assistants that help out during his classes don't do too bad themselves!😉 Overall I am completely grateful that I stepped into his dojang five months ago and I have no intentions of leaving any time soon!

I have a background of several different martial arts, predominantly Taekwondo, and I can say Master Kim has been the most well-rounded instructor I've seen. He teaches in a way that is both simple and enjoable, but also very detail-orientated. I am also impressed with how much he values his students and how far he goes to make sure they get the most out of his classes. Not only is he more than capable of teaching the physical aspect of taekwondo, but also instilling a strong moral comapss in his students. Great place to learn martial arts. I went in to the US Taekwondo Center because of my 5 year old. After I saw what the school can do for her, I told my wife we should do it as well. All four of us are enrolled now. We enjoy the training Master Kim offers us. His teaching technique is well develop and he has the ability to simultaneously teach adults and children. Every day we attend class we learn something new. Much of the things we learn at the Taekwondo Center strengthen the values my wife and I teach to our kids. I recommend this school to anybody interested in Taekwondo.

Best experience ever. I went in to the Taekwondo school looking to enroll my 5 year old and we have the whole family of four enroll in class including my 2 year old. Master Kim is great with the kids and tailors the class to the different students in class. Taekwondo teaches good habits to kids or reaffirms habits already learned at home, such respect, perseverance etc. My 5 year old practices alot because she now understand that each strip and belt in class is earned and not given and I see how proud she is of her accomplishments. My 2 years 10 months old now is doing amazing. Eventhoug he doesnt learn at a fast rate and at time gets restless he has learned alot as well and I wont be surprised as he grows up he will be great at this. He is also learning that he must work hard to get recognized. As far as me and my husband we didnt think old dogs could learn new tricks but we were so wrong and glad Master Kim introduced us to class as we were going to be here with the kids anyways. The class is designed for You to learn as much as you want and doing it as a family is even better. If you're looking to enroll look no further, you will not be disappointed.

I highly recommend U.S. Taekwondo Center on Yadkin Rd. to any parents looking to introduce their child to martial arts. My granddaughter is 4 years old and started out with a white belt and now she's a yellow belt and have been going about five months now and she loves it. Master Kim is teaching her how to defend herself, self-discipline, self-control, respect and responsibilities as a leader through out the karate school. Master Kim and his staff is amazing with all ages and kids. My granddaughter is excited to go to class each practice and she goes 3 times a week. Master Kim is very encouraging and patient with children and gently drive them to "give it their best" on each exercise. You will definitely learn useful skills for martial arts and it's very affordable!!!

I highly recommend this school and Master Kim for anyone who is new to or familiar with Taekwondo. He has practiced Taekwondo about 30 years now and excelled in numerous competitions-his 540 degree turn kick was especially memorable. I was impressed with Master Kim's constant endeavors to improve how he can help his students learn Taekwondo in an efficient way with added fun. Please if this is the only review you read heed warning. Do not be tricked by the amazingly thin board breaking skills. Or the nonsense of the "masters" that are blatantly cocky and will not teach you or your children how to defend themselves. I promise you that they will HOLD you to your contract and will make NO exceptions, whether you are in the Army going to the field or injured. You will pay your full monthly fees, no matter what, through a contract that directly removes money from your account.,

If you do not believe me, Just drop in and watch a class. It is full of undisciplined children and other people who got suckered into the school. Its very basic moves that you will learn.

As a background of Muay Thai, Kickboxing, and Boxing I came in with a open mind. And ignored the flaws with this school thinking that there were always ways to improve oneself, but no. Here in this school, you will only find anger, large fees, and "miscommunications" with automatic billing while being deployed.
The instructor "master" Kim stated I needed to remind him every 6 months when I gave him a 12 month deployment order to NOT BILL ME because I am in Afghanistan.

Please save your money, this place is very expensive for no absolute reason.
