Great gym. The equipment can be a little slow to get fixed but will get fixed. It just needs to ban filming as while not a big problem is starting to be one. Especially in the locker room which is a felony.

It’s my go to gym spot here in Wilson. Staff is friendly and the variety of machines are plentiful with plenty of working space. I will say, the facility is normally always cleanly, however, the males bathroom urinals sometimes have plumbing issues that sometimes leak on the floor and run to the stalls.

I love the sauna and 24 hour access. The iron plates give it an old school feel which is great too. However, weights are never re-racked 🙄 meaning other members that go to use the machine/equipment next are having to unrack weight before using. Also, having a selection of bumper plates would be nice too so a wider variety of exercises could be performed. Overall good gym.

I joined this gym because I wanted something low key and not as busy as PF, but I should have joined PF being that it’s a judgement free zone, you are allowed to wear crop tops, sports bras only if it’s 2 inches of midriff showing, I had this workout gear on and I was told to cover up to help keep other people comfortable, needless to say I ask to cancel my gym membership because I will not be body shamed in a place we come to get fit, they have pictures of women with sports bras on and I was told I’m making people uncomfortable, I felt judged and attacked, I was at that gym for 32 days and twice they asked me to cover up since I couldn’t be myself I took my pro rated refund and went to fitness connection best decision ever when it comes to finding a gym I do not recommend Victory fitness at all because it’s no victory in that place.

Today a friend was humiliated and body shammed! Was told her gear was out of compliance. But a poster they promote has a woman in a sports bra with her belly button out cleary out of their new alleged 2 inch rule in which Erica followed! Shame on them!!!! Let me tell you I LOVE this gym! I was a member before I moved away 9 years ago and I come back home to visit me and my nephew get a workout in and it is still the dopest gym in the area! I'm a celebrity trainer so I have been in many gyms this gym is in my top picks so if you are looking for a gym to join that's dope clean and just flat out awesome this is it!!

I went and there were very very and I mean very few people with mask on when they left their training areas. I was also disappointed in how many people didn't wipe down their equipment after use. I am all for health and fitness as they keeps us from getting sick and sweat seeping into the cushions of each machine or bench only increases that chance to get there.

Awesome spot to train just little things can make someone uncomfortable to be there too long.

I am exceptionally dedicated to health and fitness, and am aware of the importance of training in a comfortable, clean, well-maintained and equipped environment. I have trained at the YMCA, Planet Fitness, Regency and other local gyms in search of the best accommodations and amenities. However, no health club compares to Victory Fitness and its caring owners. They go above and beyond for their members and have never given me a problem in the past several years of training. The gym was formerly called Fit4Life (I was a member then) which they completely renovated (enhancing the gym’s interior colors and conditions), but have kept it (what I call) old-school, free-weights everywhere! Not only do they regularly order modern gym equipment, yoga mats, and provide supplements and smoothies to aid with body and muscle recovery (which you can obtain at the front desk and vending machines), but when COVID-19 struck, they immediately took action to re-open their facility in a timely-manner as they understand the importance of how exercise can greatly affect one’s mental and physical health. Their membership prices are also reasonable! Lastly, I love the people here! The front-staff are friendly, helpful and the people I am surrounded with as I train? Wonderful! I am thrilled every time I enter this gym! 😁

Ok i called to the location in Wilson and to look into membership options for a couple of Football players that go to Barton College ...since they are very limited on working out on campus . So the options are 3 months or a year contract ...Really.... can we not adjust and give the students a 30 day contract ....NOPE . I explained that like 20-30 football players would be coming up there to get a membership ....and the answer was ..we are sticking to our pricing .....Victory Fitness this is really bad for business. Especially for the small town of wilson. And if you are reading this VF please contact me ...i dont like giving bad reviews but this is ridiculous

The gym was close from March 2020 to June 2020 due to Covid 19. I signed up through my company and my payment is taken out of my check every pay period. During the shutdown they did not freeze my payment. They were still taking my money. However, I didn't care at the moment. I wanted to support a local business.

However, I didn't know that my company ended the auto payment with this gym at the end of June. So i continued to go there and my card key was still working. But later in August it got deactivated. There was no email or phone call to let me know. I decided that day I'll fix it later and get my workout in. But the owner kicked me out and banned me.

I went back the next day to try to resolve it and pay for any additional cost that was missed. But wasn't able to. I left my phone for the owner to call me back but never received a phone call.

Basically it was ok for them to take my money during the shut down but won't let me resolve an issue. It's ok. There are other gym I can join when it reopen up. I suggest stay away from this place and wait for YMCA or Regency Athletics tor reopen since they will be going 24 hrs in November.

Went to go pay for a gym membership in full for a year for both locations. The owner said he wouldn’t give me a membership due to me giving them a bad review from a issue I had with them in the past which the issue was with a employee he had that was very rude. Very unprofessional wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. Don’t waste your money with people like this they don’t appreciate it.

I joined this gym and faithfully worked out every night. All of a sudden my gym membership was canceled with no explanation (phone call or letter) as to why that action was taken. I can’t say that I was surprised due to the fact that Fox News is the only news opinion, and “Christian” music is the only thing playing in the gym, which caused me to draw conclusions about the ownership. Me and my partner, being gay black men, are all too familiar with discrimination. A lot of the people that frequent this location are small minded individuals, and that’s the way Victory wants it. I’m glad that they canceled my membership, and I’m glad to say that I’m now a proud member of Planet Fitness. Victory Fitness can keep their high membership fees, and their unfriendly patronage. Planet Fitness is WAY better and MUCH cheaper!

They play gospel music. Everyday. All day. That’s fine if you like gospel music but it’s definitely not gym music. Also I believe in being considerate of the religions of others, especially if your going to play music in a gym. If you’re a girl watch out for what you wear because the guy owner there will yell at you. I wore a crop top shirt and high waisted leggings and was kicked out. He said no stomachs will show at his gym...I had probably about an inch of skin showing, also it’s 2018. If these people want to set their prices like they are Golds Gym, maybe they should get to that level first. If you’re looking for a good gym, look further.

Listen people this is the best Gym in Wilson!! If you want a great atmosphe and friendly staff this is the Gym!! They have the best and healthiest Smoothie Bar in town..the only one in town and a nutritional store. OPEN 24/7. I left this gym and went to another but came back to this gym because of knowing what great customer service and a gym atmosphere feels like. Its not over crowded and your able to particpate in the free classes .You not just a number the owners are great! Yes and this too is a NO JUDGEMENT ZONE!! Great Atmosphere! Pros: Good mix of equipment, free weights and machines.

They sell on-site protein shakes, which I thought was a neat service; never used it though.

They also sell supplements, apparel and exercise gear, however you can find most of that stuff online and at a cheaper cost.

The staff are great and other goers are pretty cool. The place has got a chill and small gym vibe to it; everybody knows each other.

Cons: The price. It’s expensive. They have a variety of plans for singles, doubles and the family. For a single membership they offer a 3 month deal, for $130 up-front ($115 if you’re a student or military), no application or maintenance fee. Other than that, I think the way it goes is as follows: Application fee $30 - $50 (forgot the exact amount), then there’s an annual maintenance fee (forgot that amount too), then you pay $30 a month or something like that. All I know is, it’s pretty expensive compared to the other gyms around town. On top of that, I think it’s $5 to bring a guest and if you’re not a member - you can just pay $10 each time just to workout. Leeches.

The gym is pretty messy at times. One thing that I find annoying is that gym goers leave weights and equipment all over the place, and staff doesn’t clean up and organize it. They’ll be times when you’ll have to dig through stacks of 45lbs plates just get that one 25lb plate hidden at the end of them, or you may have to walk around the entire weight room just to look for one particular handle bar.

The bathrooms can be pretty messy too. Depends when go though. Clean up crew comes around in the mornings so it gradually gets messier as the day ends

The water fountain is sketchy; drank from it once and I swear it has more lead than a pencil. Bring your own water.

Comparison to competitors: Planet Fitness has great pricing, a lot of machines, but it doesn’t really have a selection of free weights. The Regency has a decent selection of machines and free weights but they require you to sign a contract that’s nearly impossible to cancel.

Conclusion: Unfortunately, there’s not much of a selection around Wilson at the moment. If you’re a serious and avid gym goer, a bodybuilder or a serious athlete who can afford it, this is the best gym in town. If you’re none of those, just go to Planet Fitness and save money.

If only Wilson had a Gold’s Gym or something.

The staff are friendly. I never have to wait for a machine. I love the massage chairs. The restroom is always clean when I go there.

My only complaint is that you are given only 2 coins at a time for the massage chair. It would be better if they set the limit to 3 or 4 coins at a time. It ruins the relaxation if one has to keep going to the desk to get more coins.

Great facility and very clean. The staff is very helpful and will motivate you to get a good workout. Lots of different programs and they even have a smoothie bar with plenty of supplements. They are opening up a new location in Rocky Mount and I'm told it will be just as good as the one in Wilson. Cant wait to try it out.
