This yoga studio is absolutely lovely. The space is beautiful and welcoming, with natural light that makes your whole being start to relax just walking in the door. I have enjoyed restorative yoga at this studio and went to a sound bath that was sublime. Every experience with this studio has been nourishing. I highly recommend this studio for the quality of teachers, the warm and welcoming environment, and the small community vibe that wraps around you. This is studio is a special place.

I was in Asheville for a little R&R and looking for NYE events. I came across the Sparkle Yoga NYE class and signed up. It was awesome. The studio is really cute. The yoga instructor was friendly and helpful as it was my first time attending. The class was amazing. There was something for everyone from beginners to more experienced yogis. I left feeling calm and energized to close out 2024 and walk into 2025. When I am in Asheville again I will see if there are other classes available. Thanks for such a lovely experience.

West Asheville Yoga is a little slice of what makes Asheville so special. It's a basic studio with inviting wood floors and very dedicated teachers. Its got so much heart and soul- a perfect place to stretch out, realign, and feel grounded again.

Love Cassie’s Sunday afternoon class! I hope they add more classes with her to the schedule. They are the perfect mix of restorative and challenging, and her hands on assists are heavenly. I leave her class feeling strong and clear.
This studio is wonderful in general. I’ve taken several of the flow of life classes and their postpartum series. Really wonderful place.

Been doing yoga at the Y for years and finally need to branch out. So glad I did. The ambience and mood is incredible and the instruction is on a different level. Just one class so far but it was great. Trying the unlimited for two weeks to see more teachers as well.

I love West Asheville Yoga. In addition to amazing teachers with an incredible body of knowledge and passion, WAY provides an authentic experience that’s hard to find in Asheville anymore. As Asheville and the yoga community continue to shift, WAY provides continuity in a space that’s been around for years in sweet and funky, West Asheville. If you’ve lived in Asheville for years or are new to the area, you’ll find classic Asheville at WAY - and you’ll leave living a little lighter:)

West Asheville’s prenatal yoga classes were such a blessing during my pregnancy. Roxy created a safe & supportive environment to connect with other pregnant moms, provided invaluable guidance & insights on navigating pregnancy during “doula magic” time, & shared super helpful yoga stretches & exercises. Not only did Roxy’s yoga classes enable me to have a really positive physical & emotional experience in pregnancy, the classes also played a significant role in preparing me for a physically & emotionally positive childbirth experience. Attending Roxy’s yoga classes was like getting a weekly dose of sunshine. I’m incredibly grateful to her for helping me have such a positive pregnancy and childbirth experience. I can’t recommend her classes enough to other pregnant moms!

West Asheville Yoga is the best! I loved going to Roxy’s prenatal yoga classes in person pre-covid, but they have done a wonderful job transitioning to virtual classes (now postnatal) and I love them still! Thank you Roxy and Sue Ann for all that you do!

I joined both the prenatal yoga series as well as the mommy & baby yoga classes last year. They were both so beneficial to my mindset and wellbeing throughout those times. It helped form community and I still have close friend that I made during them. Our final mama/baby class was via Zoom as it coincided with the initial COVID outbreak/shutdown. It was still a great class and allowed us to connect even with the online platform! I highly recommend these ladies. They are extremely knowledgable and just all around exceptional women.

I cannot recommend their prenatal yoga series enough!! I loved this series so much, I took it twice and both times I got so much out of it! I moved to Asheville in the middle of the pandemic and expected to be very isolated during my pregnancy. Through the virtual prenatal yoga series I found the support and community I needed to have an amazing and fulfilling pregnancy. I felt SO good all the way till the end, I was actually sad when I was nearing the end of my pregnancy. Roxy taught me so much about what was happening to my body and she empowers you to be able to alleviate your own aches and pains. She tailors to your specific needs and she also prepares you for how to cope with labor. The community aspect was also amazing. Connecting with other pregnant people each week was such a vital part of my mental health during such a crazy year.

I practiced prenatal yoga weekly during my pregnancy, as well as completed a birthing yoga workshop through West Asheville Yoga with Roxy. It was a crucial part of preparing my mind and body for birthing my first child, and I truly believe that it helped me have the unmedicated birth that I desired. I seriously don’t know how I would’ve managed without the community, lessons learned, and opportunity to connect with my body, my baby, and my breath. I highly recommend this studio, the prenatal classes, and the birthing workshop. Thank you West Asheville Yoga! ❤️

West Asheville Yoga has been such a haven for me throughout these strange COVID days, and I am so excited to one day return in person to the studio. I have been a regular at Yoga in the Park classes (love the safe and socially distanced opportunity to hang and practice with others and some of my favorite teachers, like Tara – plus all the other great folks like Cat, Leaflin, Deirdre, etc. teaching at a distance and online!) as well as virtual prenatal classes with Roxy and Sue Ann. Being pregnant in a pandemic is tough, but these wise women have offered *such gifts* in the prenatal/postnatal classes and series I've taken – they've been some of my favorite yoga classes ever! This studio feels like a true community, even when we can't come together like ye olden days!

West Asheville Yoga is an amazing studio that offers wonderful classes, ESPECIALLY prenatal and postnatal classes. The teachers (especially Roxy!) are extremely knowledgable, and I always feel so welcome and at home in class. I would highly recommend this studio to anyone intimidated by yoga, or an expecting mother in need of physical and emotional support! A unique studio and staff - thanks WAVL!

My pregnancy started pre-pandemic and I was lucky enough to get to take a few classes with Roxy before life went virtual, then continued taking virtual pre-natal yoga classes and finally a post-partum yoga series. Roxy is such an amazing presence both in person and in virtual classes. She is all about showing up to help humans feel better in their bodies physically, but also about creating a space for each person to be seen emotionally. As a doula and massage therapist she brings so much more than stretching to the scene. She has a deep understanding of the pregnant and post-partum body and always a listening ear to hear what your are going through individually and offer suggestions to help work with all of the funky things being preggo and having babes can so to your body. West Asheville Yoga cares deeply about the people it serves and about creating community through yoga. I wholeheartedly recommend taking virtual classes with this studio.

I have been going to west Asheville yoga off and on for years and recently started going more consistently during my pregnancy and it has been invaluable. The only community created by Roxy during her prenatal series’ so so great especially during Covid. She goes above and beyond to help each person feel seen and heard and to tend to the variety of pregnancy stuff that can come up!! :) I highly recommend both her and Sue Ann’s classes and the partner yoga which we really appreciated! I also love that they give you a recording of every class you take so you can take it again and again.

I enjoy a slower paced, deep stretch style yoga, and West Asheville has two classes I really enjoy. The studio itself is conveniently located near great bookshops and cafes, and is no frills, which matches the style of the teachers and classes really well. The thursday class (with Maeve H) and friday (with Sarah M) are both highly recomended, great teachers and easily adapted if something feels like a bit too much. Good people, good studio, good prices, good location!

West Asheville Yoga is my favorite studio in the Asheville area. The classes are intimate and the one-on-one attention cannot be beat. The small neighborhood vibe makes this studio a community unto itself. The instructors are among the best in the city too. For a real treat, check out Maeve's flow and yin on Thursday at 12:15. It is the perfect mix of the best of yoga practice.

I'm grateful for West Asheville Yoga -- a true gem in the heart of our neighborhood. WAY is committed to employing superb teachers who I can trust to support me in my practice and to safely guide me when I challenge myself into unfamiliar poses. There are a wide range of classes offered to address varying needs and desires. Additionally, throughout the year WAY hosts unique events that nourish the body and soul and serve our community and the world in a profound way. It was a gift for me to enjoy "Candlelight Sound Healing & Acupuncture" last Friday night. Raphaela and Krystal bring their expertise and hearts together to offer a beautiful and nourishing experience. They provide the conditions for healing in a beautifully held space, and they support the group in the perfect way to serve the highest good of each individual. Scrumptious!!

The value and support WAY provides this community far surpasses any other studio I have come in contact with.
Apart from offering the highest quality classes in a variety of styles/practices, they also sponsor foster kids at Christmas time, and support valuable local non-profit organizations . The commitment to the practice and dedication to the community as a whole, sets this studio apart from all others.

I dearly love this sweet, authentic studio. The teachers are really good at personal attention, and as a teacher myself, I feel at home and personally taken care of when I practice here. Beginners love this studio because of the smaller size, personal attention and high level of training of the teachers. The studio is sliding scale, so it makes yoga more affordable for all. It's clean, well-attended and got its own sweet vibe. Lots of music happens here too!
