I love that everyone is always welcoming and inviting! Jenn W's classes have been great at being inclusive to all levels. As someone who would not classify themselves as a yogi, but loves to relax, stretch and do the best I can, I appreciate how she offers options to different levels and acknowledges you as a person, and parts of your body are not always on at their best. It's comforting to be given permission to show up as you are on any given day.

Not a super fan of hot yoga, but the heated class was not too hot. Sheila guided us through a physical therapy inspired shoulder class. The sequence was fun, although there was not so much particular yogic relation to the poses, until the end when she linked it to our heart center. Great place to keep active & we will visit again! Thanks for having us.

I loved the size of this studio! Their heat source is my favorite to practice hot yoga with! It just evenly heats up the room throughout which I feel is important. Even with little movement I was breaking a sweat. The floors are also an amazing touch! I felt like I didnβt even need my extra mat pad because of the cushion of the floors. Iβm excited to check out more classes here.

I have found this studio to be the best I have attended in my yoga journey of 20 years. The instructors are fantastic. There is a great assortment of classes to fit most needs and schedules and ability to practice online when you cannot make it the studio or are away from town. The staff cares about the yogiβs. One of the owners ask for a meeting with me a few years back. She wanted to make sure I had the options I needed for my practice. This was above and beyond any experience I have had. Thanks Jessica for your kind person and gentle ways. Keep up the great energy Wilmington Yoga Center.

Power vinyasa, yin/yang and Ashtonga flows are helping me reach higher levels of surfing performance and deeper levels of mindfulness.
I really enjoyed Hollerβs slow flow this morning. He integrated components of his Ashtonga practice. Hollerβs Ashtonga classes are excellent for an advanced practice! Iβve taken the majority of the class options at WYC and all of the instructors are absolutely great!

Wilmington Yoga Center is everything I could want in a yoga studio. They have an incredible, warm, and welcoming team. Beautiful and serene studio spaces. A wide variety of classes and with many classes offered throughout each day. Online and in-studio class offerings. Additionally, WYC hosts special events (like puppy yoga!), yoga retreats, and workshops. Impeccable place, couldn't recommend more highly.

If youβre looking for the best Yoga studio in town, you can stop here, youβve found it. Iβve shopped around, and while some studios offer great classes, Wilmington Yoga Center offers a range of classes from beginner flows/gentle meditation practices to hot power flows and Ashtanga- from a core of experienced and fantastic instructors- at pretty much all times of day, every day of the week.
You want meditations with energy work? Heather Gordyβs got you covered.
You want to get into shape and tone your body with power flows? Faith and Heather Metzler are both amazing instructors.
You want to evolve your practice further and experiment with new asanaβs? Jessica Bichlerβs Monday slow flow will get you thinking.
I could go on. I started practicing yoga for my physical health, but kept practicing as medicine for my mental disorders and addiction issues, and itβs been an invaluable tool- their passion for the practice of Yoga is infectious and it has started the fire of a lifelong love for me. I usually cringe when I hear companyβs talk about βbeing a familyβ, but WYC has truly been a second home to me and I cannot recommend it enough!!

Hot girl summer is not ready for this hot yoga, lol!! Wonderful ambiance & customer service, especially by the receptionist :) I absolutely loved this class, I feel like a new woman!!! Hot yoga is amazing for when it's rainy or my body needs a break from running/lifting - the heat almost feels cool once you're halfway in & I normally cave myself off from humidity. I can't wait to see how my cardiovascular health improves (& sweats tears out!) Holler is an AMAZING teacher & very personable - his moves put any of my to shame haha I'm very impressed with his knowledge & feel very comfortable w/ his ease into yoga. I can't wait to stretch-over to a class again!

My friend and I walked in to get information on classes being offered. We were in regular clothes, without a gym bag (so it was quite obvious we came in for something particular i.e. information). The 4 women behind the counter just talked and talked.. FINALLY SAID HELLO when we walked all the way to the desk to get a brochure.
I mean jeez, we were the ONLY 2 guests in sight and with 4 staff members, no one has enough manners to greet the guests? I mean we almost said "Hello" first. We both work in hospitality/retail and felt very aggitated when we left. I don't plan on going back. Just plain unprofessional.
As soon as that door opens, stop the personal conversation and greet the walking paycheck. Period.

I have a 200 hour teacher training certification from a well-known corporate yoga studio where I practice and did my training in San Diego and wanted to continue with a 300 hour certification. My husband got stationed near Wilmington so I signed up for a 4-day workshop that would count as a module towards this certification. This was the WORST experience with a yoga studio I have ever had. The training started every day with an hour of kirtan (not necessarily bad so I am not including it in my appraisal that this studio deserves 1 star or less, just really not my thing so it bears mentioning). We then started working through the sequences that we would be learning to teach by doing a practice of them ourselves as a group. As a yoga teacher I was shocked at how unsafe and unintelligent the sequencing design was. The receptive rotational movements of the shoulders immediately began to bother my rotator cuff, so I scaled back to avoid any injury. The workshop description had claimed that we would learn 5 sequences. However, upon getting the manual, we were told that we could not teach them anywhere else without paying a royalty for the branded material. It was established in court, and in the court of public opinion, when Bikram tried it that you cannot copyright a yoga sequence. Furthermore, of the 5 sequences, one sequence was 25 minutes long with the other half of the class being to encourage "free flowing" and the other was just a self-guided practice. Sequences are valuable because they take a lot of time, skill and creativity to make. To sell 5 sequences and deliver 3 is fraud. There are many other great yoga studios in town that I have found since this awful experience that actually care about sacred yoga values and offer fantastic and safety sequenced classes. Absolutely horrible experience.

I love how many classes are offered here. There is such a variety and I haven't had a problem in finding a class that fits my schedule. The facilities are clean and they have a room dedicated to hot yoga and a separate room for unheated yoga, which is nice. I have been in the Fire Room for hot yoga and it is a spacious room. I haven't felt like I was on top of anyone else. Everyone there has been very friendly and inviting. So far I have loved my experience!

Wilmington Yoga Center has experienced and knowledgeable yoga teachers. Even after practicing yoga for 25 years, it is rare for me to leave a class at WYC that I haven't learned something new.

I love how everyone is so friendly. The place is very calming. It doesn't matter how long I've been away I'm always welcomed back. They offer so many different classes that I hope to expand on one day besides the basic.

Your variety of class levels and types of classes makes it possible for yogis to find the classes that work for each of them. I personally love the 9:45 basic flow! Or 12:30 basic, too, on weekends. I can flow every day!

I love the convenience of the location, the quality and environment of the studio (natural lighting, yoga accessories, hot and normal temps for class variation, shower, towels for showers or refreshing at the close of yoga), and access to healthy food nearby during breaks when participating in longer workshops. I love the friendly and helpful staff and the quality, calibre and skill of the instructors well beyond yoga instruction to include significant depth of experience, hands-on assisting and healing, and personalization of classes by their individual addition of readings, singing, instrumentation or massage. WYC has been so much more than a yoga center in Wilmington...it is friends, family and community offering fitness, fun, personal growth, healing and genuine unity and love. Thank you so much!

Since I've lived in Wilmington (10+ years) I've practiced yoga in 3 different yoga studios and two gyms. In fact, WYC was the first place I joined in Wilmington. I left to try other things, styles and places and have returned. I've been back for about 6 months now and I'm about to renew my class card (today actually). Their studio is warm and inviting and they have showers.
Now for the good part, the instructors and classes. There's ALWAYS a class of some sort going on and most of them (with the exception of 1 or 2) are all levels. You can see the schedule on the MINDBODY app. They update changes to their schedule (including subs) really well. I love all the instructors but the ones that stick out in my mind are Noelle, Liana, Frances, Heather and JJ. Heather is hardcore so if you need a super challenge take one of her classes. I have to be in the mood. She's completely lovely, don't get me wrong.
There are so many workshops and training opportunities at Wilmington Yoga Center. Advanced yogis who want to deepen their practice or newbies that want to take alignment/posture workshops are so welcome. There is also an annual retreat to Home of Hope Orphanage in Kerala, India if you're into service as well. WYC is not preachy in the least. So, if all you're interested in is a good stretch, like me, you won't feel pressured to buy their merch or join their workshops or attend their retreat. If you're from out of town and won't be signing up, you can always try a pay-what-you-can class.

WYC is The Bomb! The Instructors are educated, serious yet fun, friendly, and deliver top notch yoga programming. Class descriptions are perfect too. Don't go into a power core class expecting not to sweat. They are sincere about giving back too. The facility is beautiful and welcoming. Love this place!
