I’ve been coming to this gym for almost 3 years on and off. This is one of the top gyms in Fayetteville that I love coming to and it’s not just because of the equipment but ownership and the people. Every time I come in I always get a Thank you and a have a great workout and a smile! The people who workout there always greet me and ask where have I been how’s everything going. That’s a gym I want to be at. You can tell a lot about a gym from the people who workout in it and Wolrda gym will ALWAYS be #1 for me as long as I live here. The owners speak to everyone and take in suggestions and they LISTEN. That’s what I love even more about Worlds.

I have been trying to cancel my membership, which was originally with TruFit, for going on two months. The TruFit on Bragg closed around the same time I was being relocated for work and no one has been able to help me. I finally had the payments blocked with Amex, but now they have been trying to get ahold of me for payments when I no longer live in the area and already supposedly cancelled in late March. I’ve spoken to two people with TruFit and two people with Worlds and all of them have told me they would handle it, but no dice.

I started going to World Gym because my gym shut down. Why didn't I switch sooner??? I love this gym! It's clean. The staff is super friendly. There is plenty of equipment and space for everyone. Review of World Gym

I recently had the opportunity to visit World Gym while spending time with my family, and I was pleasantly surprised by my experience. Finding a gym that offers week passes can be challenging, but World Gym made it easy for me. The lady at the front desk was incredibly sweet and welcoming, which set a positive tone for my visit.

DO NOT TRUST THIS SCAM OF A GYM. IT IS PART OF THEIR BUSINESS MODEL TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF SERVICE MEMBERS. I wish I could leave zero stars. When I got orders to PCS, per their policy, I dropped off a hard copy of my orders to cancel my membership. Of course they refused to give any sort of electronic receipt of this and made me drop them off in person, when they assured me it would cancel my account. 2 years and 2 duty stations later, I now have a collection charge on my account from the shadiest collection agency, grossly impacting my credit. I have filed a dispute but in the mean time it has been affecting my credit. After learning from my investigative team that this actually is part of World Gym’s business model, and employees are actually told not to request orders via email so there’s no paper trail, I will be pursuing legal action against them. It’s disgusting how they actually plan to make fraudulent money off of traveling and busy service members. Disgusting and they deserve a special place in hell. You will be hearing from my lawyer but I will continue to shout from everywhere to everyone not to trust this place with a single cent of your money. You should be ashamed and grossly embarrassed in yourselves. I’ve spoken to countless other service members with the exact same experience. Please, future customers, save yourselves and go to one of the other gyms in Fayetteville who still have human decency.

Absolute worse place to get a membership! I asked to cancel my membership. I know they have a 50$ cancellation fee. No problem, I called on August 7th to cancel membership and was sent a receipt saying membership was cancelled. Fast forward to today 12/5. World gym continues to charge me 30 a month. Covering behind saying I need to send proof of relocation I’m not military mind you. Management always dodges my call and have a staff member tell me what they say. I hear them in the background. This place is garbage all because of the staff!

Pretty sweet atmosphere. The machines are great. Unfortunately every single barbell I have touched (16 barbells) are bent. Every single one of them. Noticeably bent. So if you have any wrist issues that could be aggravated by unevenness, this could be concerning for you. I myself am in this category. So I can’t go as hard as I’d like. Music is also solid. They do have specialty equipment and barbells also. This gym fits into grunge gym territory. It gets a 5/5 for keeping real gyms alive.

This place is AWESOME! Huge selection of equipment and the place is enormous so it didn't feel crowded at all. Yeah, it was 6am but there were a bunch of people getting after it. I didn't see one person loafing and the soundtrack playing was probably part of the reason. Good energy, great gym!

Big space. Worlds has everything, from boxing area, cardio, free weights, machines and cables. They have some of the more rare machines, like the GHC. Not fancy, limited A/C, but they have huge bay doors they roll up when it's warm. $5 day pass if your visiting. If your with USAA, it is in the Active and Fit program.

I’ve worked out for real like 6 years now. This gym has more machines (in comparison to most local gyms including on post) designed for people looking to hit many target areas instead just shinny metal and mirrors. All the staff I’ve interacted with are very down to earth and respectful (even when I was out of character).

No one reads the 5 stars. That’s the only reason I gave them 4.

I have been trying to stop charges on my account since fall of 2020 at the 504 N McPherson Road, Fayetteville, NC location. I filed all the appropriate paperwork, and emails to cancel my account in 2020.
I have called countless times over the past 2 years, and have been told repeatedly that “a manager would call me back.” I just spoke with a rude employee named Nate, who told me that he’d give me “the same song and dance, I’ll leave a note for my manager to call you” and that he was “clearly the only person here.” He also stated that there were no managers or districts that I could contact, as they weren’t a corporate entity.
I have since filed a fraudulent charge claim with my bank, and I am at the point of taking legal action for this dismissive negligence and poor treatment of a military service member. I have been fraudulently charged over $600, and am turned off to the World Gym brand. I will continue to let all service members know that this company is unethical.

Was a part of this gym for going on three years. Honestly, I didn't go much. BUT the 15 times I did go in the span of three years, I can say the environment is really motivating from the music to the members and staff. The members here are very motivated and fit and I thought I would feel uncomfortable, as I really belong in a Planet Fitness, but I did not. It’s a good place for every one. Pre COVID they had free classes and those were super cool for people like me! The only bad thing I have to say is that, we didn’t get a complimentary t-shirt for joining. Now we’ve moved back home to Indianapolis and nobody even knows I was a part of World Gym back in the day lol.

Well I've only been working out here for a couple months, but I love it. It has a lot of qualities that I love in a gym. I will lay out all the details and let you decide for yourself:
This place has a grungey and raw atmosphere, which I love. I cant stand fru-fru gyms. This place has literally everything you need to workout, unless you do crossfit. I think they are planning on upgrading to appeal to the functional fitness crowd, but right now, not so much.
They have leg stuff grouped together with 3 squat racks, 3-4 leg press, 2 deadlift platforms, and a smith machine.
The upper body area is packed full of incline, decline and regular bench. I have never had to wait on a bench.
They only have two cable sets, and they arent adjustable. It's either all the way up, or all the way down.
There there are a plethora of machines to suit your needs, there is a body pump barre-style room for all your calisthenics, as well as a room dedicated to MMA(couple of heavy bags, speed bag).
Also, they offer tanning and a spot for kids to play while you lift.
This is my favorite off-post gym, and I've looked around. They seem to always be improving, and they're right smack in the middle of town.
4 stars because of how awesome they are, but NOT 5 stars because a 5 star gym would have 24/7 access.

Ok truth - 1st phone call was not quite as I wanted it to be - I read reviews and called back asked for Bryan. This guy is a true business owner and cares about it. I had a great conversation with him . I will be in town for 3 to 5 Mo., he is the only gym that was interested in getting my business. This gym makes you pay for their own broken mirrors that are nearly touching the ground. This is the only gym I had been to where their mirrors are placed soo close to the ground, a dumb bell that rolls to it will break, and these guys dont want to be held liable for, for anyone's health

So...Despite the rating, I really do recommend this place, mostly because it's a pretty good value and never crowded; I just have have some (lots of) peeves.

1. Staff. This is the easy part. Staff is great for the most part and the kids club hours are convenient.

2. Amenities. Here's where it gets dicey. There's plenty of equipment (probably too much) and never crowded. However, the majority of the equipment is dated and a lot of the amenities just don't work.

Actually, half of the cardio machines don't work because there's an ELECTRICAL ISSUE.

Simple things like the showers are never cleaned, paper towel dispensers don't work, sauna doesn't get hot, water fountain isn't fully functional, faucets really should be sensor operated, etc. and there was no toilet paper in the stalls for at least 2 days by my count.

There's a semi annual maintenance fee charged, I'm just not sure what that fee is going to. They closed down for "upgrades," pulled up the carpets, called that an upgrade, then posted a condescending note around the gym about how if you don't think removing the carpets is an upgrade, you're an idiot.

3. Turns out there is no early termination fee to cancel but you have to buy out the remainder of a 2 year contract unless you move or have a doctor's note stating that you cannot work out. That's insane.

This gym is old and the weights and machines are in very poor condition. They have very few cable machines and some were broken. Rap music, I sometimes like Rap, was so loud it drowned out my Beats. Employees are more concerned with social life than helping patrons. Row machine is from the 1960’s. I will not recommend this location.

Super disappointed when my wife and I, new to the area, walked in with our "7 day free trial" we had pulled off of the World Gym website 1 hour before and were told by Katelyn, politely, that "that coupon was no longer accepted" however, you can purchase a $40 30 day trial membership. Bit of a let down....As a manager of a business, this is something I train my staff to avoid within reason. Not sure we will be back as another gym has given us a free trial offer. Again as a manager of a business, we learn that if we get folks in the door and give them a great experience, we will earn their business.

I'm from Maryland and visit this World Gym while in the area 4/19/2013 @ 10:30am for a Zumba class. The front desk clerk was rude, and had poor customer service. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, and next time I'm in the area I will take my workout outside.
