I prefer to work out from home for multiple reasons, so I was thrilled to find Yoba’s livestream membership and variety of live streamed classes. The classes and instructors are great, and I was singing their praises for awhile. Unfortunately, over the last 6 months or so, they progressively had more and more tech issues where the livestream wasn’t available, to the point that I was logging in for classes and having a 50/50 chance of being able to actually access them. Whenever I contacted Yoba to let them know the livestream was down, I’d get either an “oops, sorry, we can send you a recorded class video” or, increasingly, no response at all. On September 10, the business emailed to say that the livestream platform was down indefinitely. On September 24, I was charged full price for my unlimited livestream membership despite no livestreamed classes being available.

Might be a good experience in person but livestream members clearly aren’t a priority, and the business continues to charge members for a service that isn’t available.

The vibe and classes have been great for my mental health and postpartum journey since having my 2 babies. Classes typically are at good pace and I can always modify down so I still get a good work out in. Highly recommend for anyone who is just starting out in their fitness journey and trying to get back into a work out routine. I also thought the heat would be to much and I would not enjoy it, but it really helps to warm the body up and your body always feels good walking out of class!

I had been debating on becoming a yoga instructor for years, but finally decided to take the plunge when I moved to Raleigh. I spent a while researching different studios, and YoBa was the first to reach out.
I was skeptical at first, because doing new things is uncomfortable for me, but I met the most amazing people who were just as invested in their own personal growth as I was. The instructors here were so encouraging, supportive, and knowledgeable. Aside from the new friends, my favorite parts of YoBa's YTT were the focus on pose alignment and the energy workshop.
If you are thinking about doing yoga teacher training, YoBa Studio is an amazing choice to take.

Yoba has changed my life for the better. Really, I’ve felt more positive, relaxed, stronger and I’m approaching my goal weight. I started at Yoba a year before the pandemic and have loved it from the beginning. I stopped going because of the pandemic but my body craved for the hot yoga. So glad I made the decision of returning.

I’ve always loved hot yoga and Yoba first introduced me to Barre. If you’re looking for something fun and takes away the dread of exercise, try Yoba. It might change your life too! On top of their variety of exercise classes/options, they have the best instructors. Love Nicola’s strength class, Julia’s yoga class (she always incorporates mindful guidance at the beginning and end of class), and Erin’s FUN Throwback Sunday yoga class!

Lastly, if you’re new to being part of an exercise class (be it yoga/barre/cardio), just know that the Yoba instructors create a safe and welcoming space. They encourage you to listen to your body (eg: use lighter weight if need to). They also give alternative positions that may be more friendly to your body.

BTW, the icing on the cake after your work out at Yoba, is that signature scented cold towel!

YoBa is a staple in the Raleigh community. I’ve been going since the beginning and it just keeps getting better and better. Sam, Nicola, and Hannah have created this amazing space that feels like a second home. The entire team takes the time to get to know each member.. and somehow memorizes EVERY. SINGLE. PERSONS name… it’s wild. You’re not going to find a better LOCAL studio.

Really split on my thoughts about YoBa - on one hand, I've loved all the classes I've taken there and all the instructors are fantastic. I discovered YoBa during the pandemic through Classpass when I was looking to get back into a workout routine and it was definitely my favorite yoga studio in Raleigh that I tried.

On the other hand, when I first became a member at YoBa, there were 3 weekly non-heated half vinyasa/half restorative yoga classes, then it got switched to non-heated vinyasa classes, and then the non-heated yoga options got eliminated all together.

I totally get it - hot yoga is trendy right now and you're going to schedule classes that are popular with your member base but it is disappointing given that the number of non-heated yoga options in the area is pretty minimal.

As someone who already has a workout routine that has 3-4 tough workouts a week, adding hot yoga to the mix even once a week is a tough sell, it's just going to be hard for me personally to justify coming regularly again. It was nice to have an option where I could take an active rest day but still have the option to move with the previous Flow + Resort/Slow Yoga classes.

However, if hot yoga is your jam - definitely would recommend that you check out YoBa! They have a bunch of other non-yoga classes as well that I haven't tried.

I cannot say enough good things about YoBa Studio! I have been a member for about a year or so now and I always leave class feeling motivated, uplifted, and grateful. I've never been a fan of cardio, and repeatedly going to the gym and doing the same routine felt like a punishment. I love the variation of class options at YoBa and that each time I go the movement is different as well. Thank you for making me love exercise again, which is something I haven't loved since I played sports in college!

So happy I did it and I definitely think you should complete YTT as well. It was a moving experience. The Yoba staff was super helpful and accessible through this entire journey. I found the studio 5 days before the training began and was welcome with open arms. My cohort of teachers was amazing and I’m glad I got to flow with them.

In the past, I’ve always gotten bored after a few months at a fitness studio, but Yoba is the exception! I’m not an early riser but I genuinely enjoyed waking up early to jump around in Kaili’s cardio classes, wind down in Nikki’s yoga classes, or go to Kasey’s strength classes!

I recently moved cities which has made me realize how unique Yoba really is! I love that they focus on proper form, stability, and using your breath - I’ve been able to bring that into all types of exercise outside of YoBa!! + the complimentary towels before class, ice cold towel after class, and colored lights to go with each class are an added bonus!

Yoba is a special place and there’s really nothing like it!

Great location, superb customer care, and unusual, but great and effective classes tailored by the trainers to lose weight, tone up, gain stability and strength. I went to my first class today (Flow 45) & had a wonderful experience. Olympia was very welcoming and made sure to say hello to new students. This was only my second time practicing hot yoga, but the atmosphere was comfortable enough that I didn’t feel embarrassed to take water breaks/go at a slower pace.

I enjoyed the class so much that I went ahead & signed up for the four day class pass for the rest of February. Really looking forward to it! :)

I didn’t realize I member posted my review, I only rated it!

YoBa is my favorite workout studio I have ever been to. I just had to keep coming! Getting the unlimited membership was the best decision ever. Everyone is so nice and inviting. I love how there’s people of all different shapes, sizes and race.
The studios that we workout in has the best vibes! I love how they make the lighting a little dark, some classes they warm up the room, it just feels great.

Every class I leave feeling refreshed and proud of myself. I have physically felt my body getting stronger and stronger every week. Also, I’m not left feeling extremely painful or sore, like I’ve felt at other places. There’s so many classes to choose from. The times are very flexible too. I love doing morning Yoba but sometimes I love doing a night class right before bed.

Yoga has been something I have been looking for but never found. Another bonus is that there are live steam classes if you can’t make the in person one.

Thank you so much Sam for creating such a safe, happy, and encouraging space for us to workout in.

I researched Raleigh studios because I was visiting a friend for a week. It was easy to decide that Yoba was an ideal fit. I have to admit, however, I was nervous that I wouldn’t be allowed to use the intro special because I was from out of town. My anxieties were eased on the first day when NIKKI welcomed with genuine kindness. She also went out of her way to help me with the app and even follow up with text. Then, I had an opportunity to practice with their experienced and welcoming other teachers including JENN, SAM, and LAUREN. It was a challenging and extremely rewarding week. I’ll be joining them virtually. With gratitude!

This space is such a gem! I found them through a trial on classpass and found myself craving more movement in their space. They create a safe space for any level of yogi. How you show up each day is accepted and empowered to move in whatever way feels good. There is never any pressure to do more, move a certain way, or fit a certain body mold, which is SO rare in an exercise studio. I love Signature for a good HIIT workout with music driven movement and flow for an amazing hot yoga experience. Flow and restore is great when I need slower restorative practice.

I was introduced to YoBa a few months ago by a friend, and while I was excited to try it, I was also initially nervous to attend. I had very little yoga/barre experience, and had felt uncomfortable at other studios in the past for not having the stereotypical “yoga body”. YoBa is the opposite of those places, though! It only took me one class to realize this was a place I’d be warmly welcomed, challenged, and encouraged. It’s such a gift to move with the instructors and members during the week, and I feel healthier both mentally and physically since joining! I’ve only been a member at YoBa for a few months, but I know I will be here for a long time!

I have been to many Yoga studios in the area, this is one of two that I have liked in YEARS. It is difficult to find a space that is truly inclusive and make you feel like you belong. A lot of yoga studios say they are inclusive but you go there and feel like a misfit. I have been to some of the most popular Yoga studios in Raleigh and felt ignored, out of place and invisible. I am not a needy person in that way but in a space that is meant to strengthen your mind body and soul it needs to be a warm, welcoming inviting place. Especially if you want to get the most out of your practice. I am plus sized recently had weight loss surgery and they were very accommodating and I felt comfortable sharing this personal info with them. They probably don't even remember or realize how important that was to me. But definitely a plus! I'm at the end of my 2 week new client trial and I will definitely be joining Yoba as an unlimited member. I have never been the only black girl in a space and felt this welcome and at home. I was greeted and acknowledged by not only every staff member but the members to. Simply good, kind hearted people and the location is very convenient.

The studio is very clean. The bathroom was in impeccable shape. They offer some amazing products for cleaning up too one in particular that caught my eye was the Indie Lee Product.

I didn't bring a mat but I was able to us one of theirs, the fee is $2. They offer a wide variety of drinks and I heard someone raving about the coconut water.

Signing in is easy and quick. You just find your name and press check in. The cubbies are in the front and they lock the doors during a session to ensure safety of your things.

Overall the studio, class instructors and staff are amazing. Such an amazing place to do yoga in Raleigh.

Ps, there is plenty of parking too.

YoBa Studio is a straight up Godsend. I've been to a lot of yoga studios, and only at YoBa does the owner herself AND her staff know its members by name, often running up and hugging people to greet them right as they walk in. These gals genuinely care for their people and are a true source of light in our community. I love these ladies, their vision, their devotion to creating a unique experience for each and every class, and their absolute ZEST for doing what they do. Classes, playlists and flows are always fresh, challenging and new. One million and one stars to the entire YoBa family. Keep doing EXACTLY what you're doing. Thank you for being so uniquely you! xo

I've been a member at YoBa for almost a full year now. This place felt so magical the first time I came, so I never even went anywhere else. All the instructors are so friendly. They all try to learn your name and make you feel welcome, and they are happy to help you with your practice if you have questions. The Signature class is a serious workout, and the Barre classes are no joke probably the hardest workout I've ever done (but still doable, just definitely going to get your heart going). The hot flow is a good blend of building heat and strength while also letting you decompress and release any stress you're holding on to. It's definitely hot, but they have hand towels you can use during practice, and they bring out these divine smelling cold towels at the end to cool you down. Also, the new lobby looks AMAZING, and I love the candles they've added in the studio. I cannot recommend this place enough! It has changed my life, seriously.

I absolutely love Yoba. I've been to a couple of other studios and a few things stand out at Yoba: the instructors are encouraging and calming, they don't rush through the class, and the music that's played is much more aligned to what I like. Every time I leave, I feel better than when I came!

I always feel very welcome by all of the staff and the classes are friendly to all levels of Yoga students. The hot yoga room is very clean and the instructors are very mindful of temperature adjustments and ambiance throughout the experience. I love the themed classes. I am not a frequent attender to Yoga, but Yoba is my go to studio when I need to have an active recovery day from my normal gym routine. Thanks Yoba!!!!

Sam's class was incredible! A fun loving mix of mind and body. She utilizes a wonderful playlist and unique flows to keep you moving to new levels in your practice. She is welcoming to all, motivational, and understanding for what each student needs. She encourages self-expression, which I feel is critical to a good yoga experience. Overall, coming to class at Yoba is truly a day-changer.

YoBa is a hidden gem in Raleigh! I have always loved yoga, but was hesitant to join a studio because I'm not the most flexible person and I didn't want to be judged. After one class, I was hooked! Sam has created a fun, inviting atmosphere for people of any skill level. The studio is clean, the instructors are knowledgeable, and the people who come to class are super down-to-earth. Can't say enough good things about this place. :)

I've taken 3 classes here now, all different classes. Don't let the obscure location fool you. The teachers are incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable. Each class i've taken has been not only a great workout, but an AMAZING sweat session! It was my first hot yoga class ever, and now I'm addicted! Not only is it an incredible midweek pick me up, but its one of the few studios that is also like a therapy session each time I go. Super encouraging, and peaceful, what more do you need out of a class??

I adore this place. I just started doing yoga again, after about 10 years, and everyone there has been so welcoming and friendly. I would never have imagined wanting to get up for a 6am yoga class, but the people there - and the seriously great workouts - keep me coming back.

A week ago a 6am hot yoga class on a Friday morning after a couple cold beverages the night before sounded like a nightmare. I am, however, pleasantly surprised to report that it was a life altering experience--will never exercise or unwind any other way. Kelsey was professional and charming and made the otherwise intimidating experience for a first-timer smooth and comfortable. Thanks Kelsey!

I can't say enough great things about YoBa to express how I feel about it, but since I started practicing there in March (30 days for $30 will get you hooked) I've noticed a huge difference in both my strength and overall happiness. It only took one class for me to feel at home here, and I've never felt like I'm competing against other yogis in my classes. It's so great that I've gone from being new to the studio to registering for yoga teacher training in three months! They say "good vibes only" and they practice what they preach. Love it.

Last night I went to my first yoba class. I'm trying the 30 days for $30. Yoga lovers who live in the Cedar Hills, Quail Hollow, Lakemont neighborhoods should check this place out. I am able to walk there from my house. The ladies were super friendly. I wasn't sure what to expect but this work out is not for the lite hearted. It was hard work, everyone gets a good sweat going, and the music was upbeat and fun. It's got this cute southern vibe and they provide you with a cold wet towel at the end of your class. I wish I remember the name of the young lady who taught the class, because she was fantastic. Looking forward to my next class.

This studio is by far the best yoga studio I have been to in Raleigh! I have tried so hard for the last year and a half, to not only find a good yoga studio, but one that has a since of community and a welcoming atmosphere. From the moment I walked in for the first day of class I knew this place was exactly what I was looking for. All of the instructors are incredible and very experienced. So happy that I have finally found a place to grow my practice!

I LOVE YoBa. Sam, the owner, is so warm and welcoming. Honestly, a JUDGEMENT FREE ZONE. I have only been going to the studio for one month but it already feels like it is a second home. The classes are challenging, always different and the playlists are upbeat and motivating. I particularly love the variety of hot flow and hot barre the studio provides.
Kate, an instructor, took the time on my first day to work on my form and now I can do a pose I never thought I would be able to! TRY THIS PLACE OUT! It will not disappoint :)
