I recently started taking classes at Yoga Salt and it is one of my favorite yoga studios in Wilmington for sure! The music flow is my favorite so far and you can grab a coffee right after class in the lobby!

Yoga Salt has some seriously incredible teachers and attracts some really cool people from many different walks of life. It has quickly become my home away from home and a place I look forward to visiting. Everyone I have met there has been so open hearted and helpful. My favorite classes are Tuesday/ Thursday night with Camille, Monday nights with Lauren Alivia, and weds evening deep stretch with Laura. I am so grateful to learn from these amazing instructors who have become my friends!

If you've found this review you can stop... you've found your studio. As I write this I am a beginner and have only been to a class or two at a couple places in town including Yoga Salt (3 times). The first time I came to Yoga Salt was with my sister, who is a Yoga Instructor in CLT. This is her preferred place in ILM so I was a bit nervous the class would be over my head. Tamal was leading the class, and while it was challenging for sure I was immediately comfortable and rarely lost. I've been to "easier" classes and been more lost... quite the eye-opener. The space is cool, the people are welcoming and the lot, but the instruction is the best I've experienced. This is just to say no matter your experience level or where you may be on your journey, you'll dig Yoga Salt. See you there, person who clicks "More" after the "..." while reading reviews. lol

One thing I really love about Yoga Salt is the community. Over the years I’ve been going to yoga classes, I’ve also been able to meet likeminded people and make great relationships. The yoga classes are exactly what I need and the instructors are all wonderful. You can really tell there is intention and thought behind every detail at the studio. If anyone tells me they are thinking about trying yoga I always tell them to go to Yoga Salt!

After losing my yoga teacher of three years, I felt torn between teachers and studios in town. I was seeking a spiritual connection that brought my learned yogic practice together integrating mind, body, spirit, allowing me the space to incorporate what I had grown to love as a practice of being, not just a workout. Through a friend who also teaches, I found Tamal at Yoga Salt. He incorporates his teachings, spirituality and musicality and makes alignment with God in our human form the ultimate pursuit as spiritual beings. The space is wonderful and all the teachers have been professional, respectful and supportive.

I practice yoga infrequently so I am always nervous to go to a class … but yoga salt has such a welcoming and friendly atmosphere that I feel completely comfortable and at home when I go! I’ve taken classes with Sesa, Camille, and Lauren and I could rave about all of them. Jaime and Shelby always greet me with a smile and make me feel welcome and make the best coffee at cafe Mata. Yoga salt + cafe Mata is my favorite self care routine 🫢🏼

Staff and yoga teachers were friendly and welcoming. The coffee place next door is cute and convenient.

I attended three classes, all were the perfect blend of challenge and restorative. I was a little sweaty without being soaked like after a traditional hot yoga class.

As someone who is visiting from out of town, the yoga mat rental was reasonable ($2). I would recommend!

From the moment you walked in, you’re was welcomed with warm smiles and a calming atmosphere that instantly put you at ease. The physical space is beautiful, clean, and thoughtfully designed creating the perfect environment for practice. The instructors are top-notch β€” knowledgeable, attentive, and truly passionate about yoga - both on and off the mat. They guide you through each session with clear instructions, offering modifications for all levels, and making sure everyone feels comfortable and challenged. I love yoga salt. This is the best teaching I have ever experienced at a studio and I have made some of the best friends I’ve ever had here. If you’re thinking about dipping your toe in, check out the rise and shine yoga on Monday Wednesday and Friday at 7am. It’s only $10 to drop in and in the summertime they have it on the pier at Wrightsville beach. It’s the best way to start your day.

Yoga Salt is the most impressive yoga studio in Wilmington, with the highest level of teaching I've experienced since moving here and trying a variety of places. Tamal, Sesa, & Casey, & Camille are all brilliant teachers. They provide constant direction and intentional verbal cues throughout class to ensure your poses progress to the next level. If you're new to the area and figuring out which studio to commit to... this is the one.

This is one of the most authentic yoga studios I’ve experienced in the States. The owners and teachers exude warmth and genuine hospitality, creating a space that feels like home. Sesa’s yoga class and Tamal’s teachings transport me back to the small Himalayan town in India where I grew upβ€”a place where yoga was more than just a practice, but a way of life. After moving to the States, I felt a deep disconnect from the roots of my practice and its teachings. Here, I’ve found a space where I can reconnect, continuing my yoga journey while staying true to its origins.

From the moment I walked in, greeted by Emily at the reception desk, I felt immediately at ease and included.

Tamal's presence was welcoming and his verbal instruction and flow made it very simple to follow along -- even with my eyes closed and as a novice!

My wife and I were in Wilmington for the week, and we wanted to continue with our Yoga practice. After researching studios in the area, we decided to sign up for a 30-day pass at Yoga Salt. It was highly rated and after taking classes, we can see why. The staff and teachers were very welcoming, and the studio was clean, bright, and spacious. There were a variety of classes that are conducive to all levels. The instructors ( Tamal, Layla, Lauren, and Elizabeth) were knowledgeable, approachable, and motivating. If we lived in the area, this would be the studio for us! When we return for our next visit, we will be dropping in for more classes.

While this studio certainly embraces the western image of yoga, instructor Sesa will transform your understanding of what a yoga class can do for your mind, body and soul. I've been recovering from injury for quite some time - right about the point I got into my own solid yoga routine at home I was forced to stop just about all physical activity and as a result I have been sedentary for far too long! When I saw your 30/$30 deal I just couldn't pass it up, especially when I saw that I could try yoga at the pier! I've never been that great at yoga but I know it is good for me and helps with flexibility, etc so I took a chance...and boy am I glad I did! Camille was so wonderful - I did what I could and felt comfortable going at my own pace and ability. No one made me feel awkward or inept. Quite the opposite actually...the group was very small and everyone was friendly and helpful. Every time I felt insecure or stressed I simply focused back into the crashing waves and it was all good again! Signed up for every MWF class at the pier this month and really look forward to seeing how far I can go as I work to regain my best self!! Thank you for a great first impression, you have no idea how much that means and how deep the impact.

Yoga Salt is such an adorable, studio tucked away in a cute little part of Wilmington just off of downtown. My sister and I were having a sister weekend and attended Lisa Dubaj's Power Yoga class at 9am on Friday. It was amazing!

I do yoga on a regular basis consisting of sculpt, hot yoga, vinyasa, etc. My sister is not so seasoned and was concerned about the difficulty level. Lisa welcomed us both and provided specific, appropriate guidance for both of us. The class consisted of bodyweight moves that allowed both of us to walk out of there feeling energized and refreshed from the yoga components, as well as, experiencing muscle fatigue from the power components.

I wanted to share in case anyone was wondering what the difficulty level was, as well as, share how clean and modern the studio is. Namastee!

I took the Happy Hour yoga class with Casey, and I would highly recommend both her and this studio. As a complete beginner, I was nervous and not sure what to expect. But the staff is very polite and helpful, and Casey especially was excellent: she helped me directly with my form, but not in a way that made me feel singled out. The class was challenging, but we were free to go at our own pace with no pressure to perform the poses we couldn't do. Five stars, and I will definitely be back!

Yoga Salt Wilmington is fantastic! I did the 30 for $30 offer and have loved all of the classes I've attended. The space is modern yet inviting at the same time. It's open, airy, clean, and bright. The classes I attended had clearly had thought put into them and focused on core yoga principles. The instructors made gentle adjustments and were present and engaged. I'll definitely be back to Yoga Salt whenever I'm in Wilmington.

Later today I will be taking my 22nd class in 30 days. I decided to try out Yoga Salt with my wife using their 30 for 30 special. I haven't regretted it once. Off all the yoga studios I have tried in the USA and abroad this is perhaps my favorite. The only one that comes close is in Ubud, Indonesia.

I came in one afternoon before their first practice and signing up was easy. The one suggestion I do have for the studio is during the signup process making the website or MindBody app usage easier to understand for the customer. It took me a few days to figure out how to sign up for a session online. I tried asking for help, but no one really could figure it out. That was the only negative during the whole month I spent coming here. Even though the staff couldn't figure it out they tried and were always pleasant to be around.

I consider the practices harder than average, but there are tons of modifications that you can make to make a class easier. There are some truly awesome practitioners here who did some real awesome poses during my time visiting. Even with that said, the teachers are always positive and I never felt pressure to do something I couldn't do. You are in fact encouraged to take things at your pace and work up to more challenging poses. The teachers here will guide your practice so you get the most out of it. I know that I got better in certain areas thanks to their guidance.

I think I took a class with every single teacher at the studio and each one was good. I took multiple practices with Sesa, Tamal, and Casey and loved them all. The practices are different too. Some studios title their names different and it ends up being the same, but not here. I wish I could have gone to more classes with Devin and Justin. I really enjoyed the mantras that each instructor had at the end of class. This is a great studio and if you are in the Wilmington area you should check it out.

I am sad that I have to leave since I only live in Wilmington part of the year, but I know next time I am in town I have a solid studio to practice at.

This was an incredible yoga studio! Probably the best I’ve ever been to. My friends and I went to the class as part of my bachelorette party. The space is absolutely beautiful. Will definitely be going back!
