I've been taking the beginner yoga series and am really enjoying it. The instructors make everything approachable and enjoyable, and I actually look forward to each class. I've never been a fan of traditional gym workouts, so this has been a great way to move my body, start building strength, and feel more relaxed. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a different, more peaceful way to get active!

I was looking for an in-person exercise class…on my own wasn’t working. Yoga was kind of out of my comfort zone, but I found something I didn’t know I needed! The studio space is really welcoming and Samantha is a great instructor - knowledgeable, encouraging and passionate about sharing yoga. She and Brittany do a great job breaking down and demonstrating the poses. Take this class…you’ll be hooked!

Yoga strong is an absolutely amazing yoga studio! The owner Samantha knows so much about physiology and the body and integrates that into her classes as well as helping if you have injuries. I had a bad lower back ache for 2 weeks until I went to her roll and restore class yesterday - today I am pain free and in awe. Beautiful, peaceful atmosphere with every detail thought of to make it a special experience for everyone. Such a welcoming, non-intimidating environment.

My experience has been wonderful with owner Samantha Harrison. She goes beyond to make sure that you understand yoga and doing the poses correct. My body feels good after each session. I can't say enough good things about Samantha and Yoga Strong.. I'm new at yoga and I have spinal issues that sometimes makes movement challenging yet it's necessary daily ...I have learned a wealth of knowledge from teaming up with Samantha..I have taken private classes at Yoga Strong Studio and Samantha's kindness, encouragement and knowledge are priceless and endless.... I also attend classes with Yoga Strong virtually and they're recorded so I'm attending a live yoga class in the comfort of my home and I'm able to go back and watch the videos which greatly helps critique my practice for this awesome journey that I've started with yoga....And now I'm doing the Beginners series as I feel I'll always be a beginner and that's okay!! I have been wanting to try yoga for years, but bending and flexibility is not my strong suit and I have been afraid to try somewhere for fear of being shamed. I put out for recommendations for a true beginners yoga class and the majority stated Yoga Strong was the place to go. I signed up for the 8 week beginners course and it was the best decision I’ve made for myself. Fives weeks in and it is the highlight of my week. I feel better, I’m slowly gaining additional body mobility, and I have been absolutely delighted. Highly recommend Yoga Strong!

I have been participating in the Yoga Strong 101 8 week program. They let you know exactly what you need for each session and have it for you as well. The instructors talk you through the moves as you go along the sessions. The instructors are polite and helpful! They make you feel welcomed and you get a great yoga workout in the process! I just completed the 8-week beginner series at Yoga Strong with Erin, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience. From the moment I walked in, Erin and the entire studio made me feel so welcomed and supported. I have multiple sclerosis and was nervous to jump into yoga again after years of inconsistency and dealing with some back pain. This series was exactly what I needed.

Erin was friendly, knowledgeable, and encouraging every step of the way. The class was paced perfectly for beginners, and I never felt out of place. About halfway through, I started to notice real improvements—I felt stronger, more mobile, and more confident. I was so energized by the experience that I signed up for a virtual pass and now do 2-3 classes a week from home! I even registered for the next Yoga Strong 101 beginner series.

Sam and her entire team have created such a positive, welcoming space. Whether you’re brand new to yoga or coming back to your mat after some time away, I highly recommend Yoga Strong.

Yoga Strong is the best! Over the years I've tried various different yoga classes and never really got into it. I saw a post on Instagram for a yoga massage class focusing on hips and hamstrings at Yoga Strong. I decided to give it a try and loved it! For a while I took that class once a week. Then I started doing the strength yoga classes 1-2 days a week as well. Over time this turned into me attending yoga classes 4-6 days a week! I have notice such an improvement in my strength and mobility in my arms, legs and core since starting Yoga Strong Series. I have increased from a block to 8lbs with the Turkish Get Up over a few series. I love the six week class structure, keeping record of progression and seeing the results in our journals. Yoga Strong is the up-and-coming yoga studio in Eastern North Carolina with relaxing experiences unlike any other! From the pre-class chatter amongst instructors and other students to the after-class cold lavender towels and dark chocolate, participants are destined to feel a sense of belonging from the moment they walk in the door. Levels range from beginner to advanced and adaptations are encouraged to increase or decrease difficulty levels.

First-time customers can sign up and drop by with ease since the first class is free and all necessary equipment is accessible and free to use already in the studio. You can try out the class, or sport, with no fret to financing for first class attendance or outside purchasing of mats and blocks.

Customers have the option to choose from a variety of class types at a variety of hours providing attendance flexibility for the busiest of schedules. Class times range from 6 am (for the early risers) to 6 or 7 pm (for the 9 to 5'ers who don't want to be rushed coming from work), including other midday and weekend classes. Another great part about Yoga Strong is the ability to participate virtually! Whether you're out of town, feeling sick, or in my case, attending college in another city, you can choose to livestream yoga classes as they happen or play them back at a later date.

I have discovered several physical and mindful techniques that benefit my daily lifestyle since the beginning of my time at this studio, with improvements not only in my physical health but mental and social as well. Students are encouraged to detach from everyday life and focus on relieving immediate sources of stress present throughout the body. Yoga Strong is a place to escape from the busy world and take time for yourself, improving your overall mental well-being. I originally thought that yoga could only come in one form, but at Yoga Strong, there are many different styles to choose from! Strength-focused classes utilize weights allowing individuals to participate at their own pace and to set their own physical goals /create challenges for improvement. There are also classes that focus on mindfulness in the body, highlighting areas of discomfort and ways to mitigate stress. With the support provided at Yoga Strong, students are sure to experience growth not only from series to series but even within an individual class. Even if you walk into the studio feeling tired and weak, you are destined to walk out feeling refreshed as both Yoga Strong and Yoga Sore!

At social events away from the studio, such as pool parties, cocktail mixers, or even after-class ice cream trips, participants get to know each other and build life-long friendships that push one another for the better. Interaction with different instructors creates a unique flare to each class with the expression of individual personalities and class designs. With one instructor you may encounter deep meditation packed full of relaxing sounds and music, and with another, you can also find the same meditation while listening to music ranging from Dolly Parton to Cyndi Lauper.

I have not kept up with consistent exercise since covid and 2 hip replacements pretty much sidelined my efforts. I just haven't been able to be as active as I had previously. I decided to try yoga after doing everything I could to help with the pain in my back from a bulging disc. I tried physical therapy, but it didn't do much. I got to steroid shots, but that didn't do anything either. I had to take medicine just abouteveryday just to be able to function without pain. But now I don't wake up and immediately have to pop a pain pill anymore. Most of the time I forget it's there now. Samantha has been amazing at working with me, and helping me get to where I am now physically. So if you're on the fence of whether to start yoga, or you're in a situation that's similar to the one I was in. Give her a call and get your appointment scheduled. The only thing I regret is not trying it sooner.

I should have written this 7 years ago. I started with Samantha on my 40th birthday. I really don’t know what I would have done in my 40’s without learning to breathe (and that isn’t an exaggeration, I didn’t know how to take a 🤦🏻‍♀️deep breathe ) and slow down and take care of my body. The clarity of my mind is unexplainable and my body feels like I just walked out of the BeSt 90 minute deep tissue massage every session. It has so positively impacted my life. I have been looking for a yoga home for a while and I have finally found it. I’ve been to classes where the teacher while great at yoga is unable to or unwilling to provide a modification students can use. I’ve found some teachers where all they do is sun salutation for 50 minutes out of 60. Samantha has been great at meeting students where they are and helping them work towards enjoying yoga while learning. I also love that classes vary so you have choices of flow, or balance, or core and omg yoga massage is amazing!

Samantha is the most inspiring, caring yoga instructor I've ever had the opportunity to learn from. She takes a keen interest in her students and designs her classes to meet students' needs. She sets the level so that you can manage new poses while still challenging you.

I am new(ish) to the Greenville area and Samantha was recommended to me by a faculty friend. As she was just opening up her studio in August 2023, I was lucky to get in on the BOGO 6-Week series. I have completed the Yoga Strong series and am currently in the Yoga Massage series. Both have been so amazing and nothing like any yoga I have tried before!

As someone who has been regularly strength training for several years (9+), I instantly fell in love with the Yoga Strong class. I had never experienced yoga combined with weights and I absolutely loved it. The workouts are intense, yet totally approachable for any level regardless if you are a beginner or long-time lifter.

The Yoga Massage series is also something I had never experienced in a yoga studio before. While I have practiced restorative yoga - and love it - using the extra tools and stretching techniques Samantha provides has taken my stress relief to a whole other level. I tend to store all my tension in my neck and shoulders and this class helps me regularly tend to those areas and learn more about where I need to pay attention to my body.

Above all, Samantha is an amazing and experienced instructor. She is so personable, relaxed, yet attentive to her clients needs. The studio space is lovely and you feel welcomed and relaxed the moment you walk through the threshold. I have met so many amazing people through Yoga Strong and love the community that Sam has helped build and cultivate here in Greenville.

My experience with the yoga massage class was so nice! First we used massage balls on our neck, shoulder and back areas while incorporating stretches. I absolutely love Samantha's Yoga Strong class. I feel challenged each week, but not in an intimidating way, and I want to go back to this class every week. I actually think that I would like to go every day, but time does not permit. I love the way we build up to the strength exercises, how we use yoga poses throughout, the way we come down from the most powerful exercises into amazing, thoughtful, intentional stretches. This class is the only fitness class I've ever been in where I haven't looked at the clock to see how much longer I have to endure it. I love how Samantha combines weight training, yoga and mindfulness. The weights never feel heavy or like they are too much, so it doesn't feel like weight training at all. It's yoga, but I definitely feel the results of using the weights the morning after as if I had been lifting weights at the gym the day before. Yoga Strong is such a great name and concept. Happy to have found this unique balance. Also, love the convenience of participating over zoom or viewing a recording of the session at a later time if unable to make it to class.
