I didn’t realize I had signed up for a heated yoga class. However, I hung in there and Mia was absolutely wonderful. The conveniently located studio in the Plaza Midwood area had easy parking. The staff were very friendly and took time to explain everything prior to class. I really enjoyed the class and had a great workout.

I paid $40 to attend a Yoga class at Yonder Yoga, and I should have seen the red flag as they were pushing memberships upfront instead of just allowing non-members to try out their Yoga studio. Yonder Yoga uses deceptive practices to trick customers into getting a membership. They were running this special and now they automatically signed me up for a $149 membership (didn't send me an email reminder about the membership). I took one class they auto renewed my credit card for the $149 and then they told me the day they charged my card they could not refund me the money. I emailed them and told then I never wanted a membership and asked to be refunded - and they said they could only credit my account for $149 and not give a refund. Unprofessional and poor service. I do not recommend, there's plenty of Yoga studios in Charlotte, like Khali Yoga and other business that are welcoming and care about their customers. Yonder Yoga is not one of those business. I never intended on being a member at this studio and when you login into your account, you cannot even cancel your account on your own...very deceptive and the front desk workers can't help you with any account issues, they tell you to send an email out to management. Very Shady...

I’ve been exploring different yoga studios since moving to Charlotte, and Yonder Yoga really stands out. The teachers here clearly understand yoga beyond just exercise; they pay attention to posture, breath, and creating a real practice. Other places I tried felt more like fitness classes, but at Yonder I can tell I’m learning and deepening my practice, not just sweating through poses. The $40 membership made it easy to get started, and honestly, it’s already worth it. I always leave class feeling refreshed and centered. Definitely becoming one of my favorite spots since moving here!

I was looking for Yin Yoga and the space is beautiful. I came to Yonder Yoga for my very first class—not just at this studio, but my first experience with yoga overall. I was excited but also nervous due to prior back issues, so I followed the instructions and arrived early with ID as requested. Unfortunately, when I checked in, no one asked for my ID, there was no intake form to complete, and I wasn’t offered a tour or any real guidance on what to expect.

As a true beginner, I would have appreciated even a brief orientation, help understanding what props I might need, or some encouragement to settle in. Instead, I felt rushed and overlooked at check-in—even though I was early and like an outsider in the space.

Yoga can be intimidating for someone new, especially when dealing with physical limitations, and the lack of welcome or support made it hard to feel comfortable or confident walking into class. I’m sharing this not to criticize but to hopefully encourage more intentional hospitality and support for beginners and first-time guests. First impressions matter—especially when someone is taking a vulnerable first step toward healing.

As a 10+ year yogi, Yonder is my favorite studio by a mile. I’ve gone to tons of studios amongst different cities and Yonder truly has it all. The community makes me feel at home, like I am known and valued every time I enter the studio. The entire teacher team is so incredibly talented and amazing, so much so that I decided to do YTT to hopefully become a teacher! All levels are welcomed & appreciated: there is plenty of instruction for first timers, and an immense amount of room to play for more advanced yogis!

I can’t recommend Yonder enough! I’ve lost count of how many yoga studios I’ve tried over the last decade, but Yonder is easily my favorite. The instructors are so welcoming and make the classes so accessible. The classes are HOT and the flows are just the right amount of challenging and grounding. I joined the second they opened and hope I can continue going for years to come (maybe even do a teacher training sometime soon 😉)

I had a wonderful experience in today’s yoga class. The instructor created a calming and supportive atmosphere that made it easy to focus and relax. The flow was well-structured, with a great balance between stretching, strength, and mindfulness. I especially appreciated the clear guidance and gentle adjustments—it helped me feel more connected to my body and breath. I left the class feeling refreshed, grounded, and more flexible. Looking forward to coming back!

I cannot recommend Yonder Yoga enough! The first class I took with this studio was at their temporary pop-up, and I immediately knew this was the yoga home I had been searching for. I’d practiced at 5+ studios since I moved to Charlotte 3 years ago and none of them felt quite right. Yonder Yoga has thought of everything! The new space is flawless with perfect attention to detail. Everyone who works at the studio is always welcoming and genuine, and the teachers are outstanding! I’ve taken over 50 classes of their “Yonder Flow” and love how consistent the structure is, but that each class changes up the poses so that you always experience variety. The practice room itself is the most intentional and thought out heated yoga space I’ve been in (including my experience in studios in other states). While it’s heated to 93 degrees, it does not feel sticky or heavy as Yonder has optimally designed the space/ventilation system. The teachers pace the class to keep you moving but still build in breaks and layer the sequencing so that you can make it all the way to the end of class where you are treated to an essential oil cold towel (a must for all heated classes!). As I mentioned, all of the teachers here are fantastic, but I have to give a special shout out to Mia, Jessica, Rachel & Lauren, whose classes I take most often and who always bring their passion, kindness and authenticity to each flow. There is no better studio than Yonder!

I am new to yoga so I was a little nervous signing up for a hot yoga class but from the moment I walked into Yonder Yoga, I felt welcomed (from the humans and the dog) and grounded. The energy in the studio is warm, inviting, and exactly what I needed. I've take two classes so far with Selby and Carmen and they've both been incredible.

What a beautiful studio. The mirrors are so cool! Everyone there was so kind and welcoming. It’s hot, but a good kind of hot! You leave feeling tired, but refreshed and ready to tackle the rest of your day. The flow, at times, was fast, so more challenging if you aren’t used to it (I wasn’t!), but it left me inspired to try again.

I took a class at the Southend Pop-up with Carmen - she was amazing! I have recently been dealing with bad back pain and this was my first yoga class back after being cleared. I informed her of this and she was so kind and encouraged me to only do what I was comfortable with and to take breaks whenever needed. The class was warm but not too warm, it was just enough to feel like I got a good workout in. I'm excited for the new studio in Plaza to open up!

Wow… instant new favorite yoga studio. I saw this pop up as a new studio on Classpass and I was very pleasantly surprised! This is such a great location (inside the Atherton) and I really enjoyed the ambiance and flow. There aren’t any other hot yoga spots in South End so I’m really excited to go back. It was just the right amount of challenging and relaxing at the end, with nice details like hands on adjustments and a cold scented towel at the end. Definitely adding this to my workout rotation!
