I have been a member at anytime fitness for years! I absolutely love coming to the south gym in Minot, ND! The employees are the best ever!! It is managed very well and is always super clean!! If I have any questions they are super helpful. I love this gym.

Anytime Fitness makes it difficult to cancel your membership on purpose and is unwilling to accommodate long-time customers who wish to do so as I did. I requested to have the membership canceled over the phone as I no longer live in the area, and the manager said he couldn’t cancel it and that I would need to be in person to do so. I said I couldn't cancel in person, and he said he would look at his available options and contact me later, but he never did. I was sent to collections over $160 for the four months I wasn’t paying because I wanted the membership canceled. My long-time business relationship with Anytime Fitness was unprofessionally ended at the behest of the business. Monthly they charge $60 minimum for a small gym that gets crowded quickly, and there is never staff on site to help members with their needs or concerns. There are better and more affordable gym options in the Minot area, and I do not recommend Anytime Fitness for any reason whatsoever.

Will NOT cancel your membership and continue to charge you. I've reported them to the BBB and am changing my account and debit cards and now am starting a small claims case. Your gym sucks anyways. Super ironic the owner hasn't responded to any of these reviews. "How have we failed you?" By being a joke of an owner. Thats how.

I completed an 18 month contract and then inquired about termination of my membership. Apparently, you can only quit by going to visit them in person- and how convenient is it that the only person who can process the transaction is never there?! I let it slide for an extra 3 months and after making multiple visits to the South Broadway location, I worked with my bank to just get a new card so that the automatic drafting would stop. Now, they constantly call, text and email me and threaten to send the account to collections. This place is nothing but money hungry and I do not recommend them at all.

This place doesn't even deserve one star. It is all about making money and doesn't care what happens to the customer. The manager that signed me up added services I didn't request for including tanning even though I am a black person, and for 18 months contract even though I signed up for a year. She told me I would be charged $300 penalty if I want to cancel but I was told that manager made a mistake with a lot of people so she got fired. The new manager told me I cannot cancel at all unless I pay for the whole 18 months or if I move to a different city where there is no Anytime. I was forced to keep paying monthly even though I was not attending the gym for serveral months. I got a new job and moved to a different city where there is no Anytime with proof of new address, which I did in person with the required documents, a job offer letter and new lease. I was told I would be charged for one month more as that serves as one month notice and I agreed. My account was still being charged for both gym membership and coaching services after one month so I had my bank discontinue the papyments. Now I get calls and texts telling me I still have contract with them and if I don't fix my payment issue, I would be taken to collections. I was not given a paper contract and niether an email copy at least to go over. Why should I still be going through this when I did everything right? It is my biggest regret signing up for Anytime membership. I always had someone with me so I have a withness, we might probablyend up in court.

They scammed me. When I signed up, the lady said I could cancel anytime. I even read everything I signed, and it did not mention I was committed to a membership. I explained the situation to a higher up regional guy, but he did not care or did not believe me.

Other than that, it's a nice gym.

Tip for other people who want out: My contract (yours may be different) says that Anytime Fitness can cancel the contract at any time for any reason. This likely voids the whole contract because it violates mutuality of obligation (both parties must be bound by the contract for it to be valid). None of this is legal advice, but consider small claims court.

I can call any hour and never get a call answered. Leave messages and never get a call back. I went in to cancel and signed and the kid said I was good to go. Got charged again a month later. Now I gotta go in again. Can be a bunch of bad reviews for $40 if we don't get this changed.

What a terrible set of people that work at this establishment. I spoke with Joseph the GM about some confusion about exiting a contract as we have due to some family issue and unexpected financial burden. Joseph was kind enough to let me know he does not care about people's personal situations and neither does his company or Wendy the trainer. They are only concerned about money.This is literally how he attempted to address my concern. He said he deals with this all the time and nobody gets out of their contract! As if he is proud of it! Wow!!

What a terrible customer experience and what a scam! This group is deceptively inducing students and young military personnel to sign contracts with ridiculous exit terms that are not clearly explained to them when they sign. Then they take advantage of these people that are overburdened with finances and working multiple jobs. The Gym gets them when they are going to school when they don't have the means to get legal help or to manage a dispute against a corporate entity.

To Joseph and Wendy, I find your actions and behavior absolutely deplorable and a negative addition to the world. Please seek positive change in your life, thank you!

Always a great place to work-out but it would be better if it had some towels for sweating and some full size mirrors in the bathroom for selfies. They always have people working during the weekdays. I don't know why they can't seem to calculate how many towels they need at night/how many during the weekend when they know by now a guesstimate how many people usually work-out at night vs. on the weekend.

The south gym, My gym💪 I'm only ever able to get in there in the middle of the night nowadays, And don't get much of any interaction with staff anymore, But the times that I did when I first joined was nothing but positive. Beings I'm only ever in during the non-staffed hours, Facebook messenger is my go to for whenever I need to get ahold of them, And they are, and always have been very responsive to my messages and any requests that I may have. On top of that, The gym is ALWAYS clean, Equipment is always functional, and the place has everything you could possibly need out of a gym. Plus, If you run short of protein or any supplements and need a hold you over until pay day, They have everything supplement wise that you could need sitting out, So if you're a night owl like me, and only can get in there late at night, All you have to do is fill out the little IOU sheet and let them know what you grabbed and when you'll be in to pay and go. Can't say enough about this gym and the staff in it. This is the gym to have a membership at if you're in the Minot area.

Hi!! My name is Abigail, just started the gym 3 or 2 months ago. I like the gym itself, however when they directly take out money they keep taking out more than they should be. This isnt the first rodeo at all and I'm pretty upset. They did pay me back last time however it has happend once again and I'm irritated by it. Over 20 bucks more than what I pay a month. Love the equipment and its almost never busy (so I'm able to use any machine when I need to) I'll continue to go to Anytime. Only downside I see, is their cleaning. Bathrooms seem to lack attention along with their machines constantly and sometimes they run out of wipes for the machines (like today) hopefully this review helps to improve their weak spot. Love Anytime otherwise. Would recommend.

Good place, has many machines and free weights, staff are friendly, and being open 24 hours is a huge plus, the only thing I don't like is the contracts involved with membership their smallest contract is 18months, this length to me is crazy long, a year is OK but a year and a half?

Let me say first that I love my hometown anytime fitness and I've been a member for years. BUT ... This particular anytime fitness is no good. The "gym monitor" goes nuts when there is any sort of noise ... Like setting weights down, or the noise of the squat rack. They should run a library instead of a gym.

Office staff is not very helpful and accessible. Tried to get my visits to show up on my online account and after me asking a dozen times, it still it not set up and i just keep getting "i don't know why." have stopped in twice to cancel my membership and both times they couldn't "log on" to do it. have called and have left three messages and have not gotten a call back yet.

Looked to be decent size and not crazy busy. Was told by the employee that they want you to sign up for an 18 month contract. If you just want 30 days it's $90. That is pretty absurd. Said it was "Minot prices." After that she denied that I could do a week free membership.

Moved away. They stated my membership was cancelled. 6 months later they started billing again. Required new 30 day notice. Billed me two extra months, charged $50 cancellation fee, and required me to e-mail my new driver's license.

Subpar service. I had to call 3 times to get what I wanted done (simple gym transfer) after each time it was communicated to me that I didn't need to do that, with each time me explaining I needed to in order to tan.

Gym is packed after work, so much equipment you can barely move around in. Best time to go is 6am or earlier.
