This is the most expensive gym membership in Williston with a constant influx of new members. Despite this fact, this gym has decided to sell a large portion of the building to a clinic next door, leaving less room for their already overcrowded gym at times. Not only that, but they tried to pass off downsizing the number of machines in the gym as an “upgrade”. We currently have at least 4 fewer machines than we used to, after this so-called “upgrade.”

If you plan on getting a membership here, look forward to crowded areas, broken machines that don’t get repaired for weeks/months, broken plates, things falling off the walls, and dirty bathrooms, all for the low price of almost $1000 a year.

Do NOT get a membership with Anytime Fitness. My husband was in Williston for work. When he was transferred, we didn’t need to keep his membership. We do NOT have an Anytime Fitness in our town but now that we are trying to cancel our membership they do. The number they give me does not go to a gym in our town. Here are the pictures of the gym. The Anytime Fitness in Williston just sends you to some corporate office that only communicates with you via email.

Best gym in America and the membership is even good throughout Canada, if you’re a traveler, there is none better for convenience and the equipment is the best I’ve seen and very well maintained, no broken machines and the treadmills are top notch. Member since 2009.

Decent amount of equipment, staff is nice. Far more expensive than any other anytime fitness I've ever been too and nothing special that justifies the price. Machines take forever to get fixed. They have classes every day and clogs up all of the cardio/core center most days.

They fail to mention that the price they quote is by weekly. Not monthly. They lie about having a free month. Once you sign up. They play dumb and the manager even admitted that they have a huge problem with ppl not knowing it’s a twice a month payment. Then you try to cancel and they refuse to let you cancel. Eventually got canceled and charged me 2 more payments. If you have to swindle ppl to be apart of you membership you have a problem. Do not sign up here. You will be disappointed.

I didn’t have much issue with using this gym or the cleanliness. Sure, bathrooms were always a little dirty but not enough to complain about. This is for the contract that supposedly was a 1 year (which they told me when I signed) not 2 year!! After a year I called in to make sure the contract wouldn’t extend farther than the one year because I was moving and lo and behold they’d made it a 2 year with AUTOMATIC RENEWAL 😡?!?!?! Had to do the buyout option $250 plus an extra 30days notice. They do say that the $250 will be saved in my account for IF I ever come back. No thank you!! Not after what they’ve put me through. Most gyms have a 2 yr contract but don’t charge a cancellation fee. They’re also double the price per month compared to most any other gym in town. I never leave bad reviews 😢. Do you research, choose a gym that will actually be there for you not take advantage of you. This goes for Anytime’s policies. Change them and stop taking people’s hard earned money!!!

This is the largest Anytime Fitness I've ever been to which is very surprising considering that it's in Williston of all places. This gym has pretty much everything you need fitness wise with plenty of space.

Unfortunately this is also the dirtiest gym I've been to in a while. Unfortunately "oilfield trash" living up to their name bringing their bad habits in here. The men's locker room was in dire need of attention.

I would give no stars if possible! My husband worked as a gym cleaner and even after having to go to work with the supervisors on holding out taxes and being assured it was handled, there was no federal taxes and not even $5 in state withheld the whole year. That's as an employee. As a gym member 10 years ago who was removed from our contract then and assured it was handled, there was still funds withdrawn for membership causing bank overdrafts and actually a misdemeanor charge for no funds. Not a safe business to commit to as an employee or a member. Proceed with caution!

kim was absolutely amazing during the sign up process. if you want a gym that cares about your success, anytime fitness is just that. i considered other gyms, but the atmosphere that staff & other members create here is unmatched. beginner friendly and a safe place to better yourself and focus on gains. truly no better gym than anytime in williston!

Beware of their predatory billing practices. We have not lived in Williston for close to two years and they supposedly pressed the wrong button and unlocked a “frozen” account that was actually canceled. I’m sure they pressed the wrong button on that too. I have called multiple times and filled out their cancellation forms multiple times but they can’t seem to figure it out. Go to any other gym.

Was in Williston recently for work. This is one of the cleanest and largest Anytime fitness' I've ever been to! Has a great selection of machines, tanning beds, tons of free weights and cardio machines, the staff was super friendly and helpful, and it was an overall enjoyable experience. I would def come back.

This is the most expensive gym in town . The month-to month is 100$ a month . Unless you want to get locked into a contract I highly recommend going to a different gym in town . Anytime Fitness is an excellent facility. The low rating is for the contract surprise. Buyer Beware!! Make sure that they don't surprise you with a 2 year contract!
BTW unless you are pint size, expect an issue or two with the equipment.
Also, the janitorial services are just enough to get by. Expect the trash to be overflowing on Sunday nights.

Anytime Fitness is your typical "Fitness Club". The machines and weights are limited and out dated to minimum at best. They do have a large number of treadmills and other cardio equipemnt which makes up the majority of the facility. The staff are friendly and sweethearts for the most part. To be fair everyone has a bad day. The memberships range from 50-100. They range from month to month (the more expensive), and then 1 and two years (being the better price). The only real advantage of having a membership here is the cardio equipment which as much as you will spend for a membership your better off purchasing your own. It costs several hundred to cancle this lacklustre club once you realize how easily you'll out grow this club. From my time in this area I find The Pitt to be the better option and a real "Gym" owned and staffed by a group that live by high training standards. The atmosphere and environment pushes you and you'll be surprised on how many members and staff will take the time to explain movements, diet, or just complement you on the progress they have seen in you. People here care and want to see each other do better in and outside of the gym. This is also not to mention the phenomenal equipemnt, supplement/diet store, and members. If your serious about your health, and want to support a group in the community that cares about there members this is THE GYM for you. Anytime is great for anyone that is looking for a workout a handful of times out of the year or just wants to walk on a treadmill. Take your time in choosing the right home gym for yourself and form your own opinion we are all different and you may find this club to be ideal for your own personal goals.

Okay, so when they signed me up they acted like this is just the best thing ever, "HERE ITS ONLY GOING TO COST YOU THIS MUCH" and had me sign a 2 YEAR contract without telling me, and I honestly feel scammed. I tried to cancel my membership only to find out I CAN'T. I finally talk to a manager after being angry and they tell me to just give them a "one month notice" so I compromise and say okay, I waited a month and after that I called to make sure it was good and I wont be charged anymore, only to see the next month they are still charging me after telling me they won't anymore. I can't express how much I hate this gym now.

This is a late review but 4 months ago they told me 75$ a month and that that it was cheap by comparison. Yet I ran Tioga's Anytime Fitness for a year and a half and we charged 37.95 a month. They are outlandishly over priced and at the time even some of their cable machines were even broke along with the weight area was an absolute mess of dated or unusable equipment. Couldn't find a paired cable/plate machine to complete much of anything I wanted to do that most Anytime Fitness clubs have. The Arc in Williston has all the Life Fitness equipment I was used to though and at only 55$ a month and no contract so I went that route.

Where to begin

I was intercepted in the parking lot by the police who were absolute gentleman by the way... they told me that management at this anytime fitness has said that I am not allowed in... these cops were two of the coolest cops that I have ever met in my life but they did inform me that I needed to leave or else I would be arrested for trespassing.... they said that the management decided to disallow me entry because I was kicked out of the anytime fitness in Bismarck...

And that is true I was kicked out of the one in Bismarck a couple weeks ago... there is a fella there who has a serious attitude problem and insists on being an intimidating figure that looms in the gym like a prison warden.... always trying to be a Billy Joe macho type... well he gave me attitude and I gave it back to him, he could not handle that so he called the police and I was told not to come back... fast forward a couple weeks later I'm in Williston... I have used the Williston gym a couple times, and have absolutely no problems with anyone... well I don't know if Bismarck contacted Williston or if they just have bad reports in their computer system or what... but I was intercepted today in the parking lot in Williston and told that I am not allowed in because I was " kicked out of the one in Bismarck"... absolute nonsense...

This one in Williston has lockers in the men's locker room, and I had some stuff in one of the lockers and had that locker locked with a lock... has I was being told by the police that I was not allowed in , another cop came out of the gym with my bag that was in the locker... and I was told that my lock was cut by management...

There were no signs anywhere saying that you were not allowed to lock the locker or leave your stuff there... but more importantly there are no signs anywhere that says that if you've been kicked out of one anytime fitness that you're not allowed to use another... this was embarrassing ,defaming, and absolutely unnecessary...

I really do think that corporate needs to look into the behaviors and decisions that some of these gym managers make... I feel as a, customer/member that I have absolutely no recourse... all I ever wanted was to do my 5 miles on the treadmill ...and if there would've been a sign or if somebody would've said that you're not allowed to leave your stuff in a locker I would've had no problem complying with that... the lock itself cost seven or eight dollars, but it was my property ... i've had that lock for years ...and they just cut it and threw it away... and had the cop carry my belongings out to me like I'm some sort of interloper....

You know what ,....I did give that guy in Bismarck a serious attitude but it was in response to his serious attitude... I never said a word to anyone in Williston... I didn't do anything wrong at all....

I travel the country delivering vehicles , buses , motorhomes etc....and so I go to many many locations....Thankfully , most locations that I've been to we're friendly and had no attitude....
