My wife is a black card member and had cancelled her membership in TX last month and the last day for her to use the club was 7/16. In TX they had messed up membership /app access while cancelling it. She has the email proof, cancellation document and everything that showed her last day was 7/16 which she showed at the front desk but the club here in Fargo told her that, she would have to pay $15 day pass to access the club as nothing is coming up in their system. Poor service overall. Its not about who and where her account got messed up. Its about what would you do to make her experience a better one after she had showed all the document regarding her membership.

I've been a member for about a year now at the 13th ave west fargo location. Love it! Prior to that I belonged to an e gym. This gym is very neat and clean and most of the staff is very friendly- with the exception of their female manager - however she's rarely around. Mo at the desk is especially friendly and welcoming. I joined this gym last year and initially found the staff to be quite friendly and welcoming. They would greet me, welcome me, and wish me a pleasant day. However, recently, I have noticed a change in the staff's attitude, regardless of the time of day I visit. They seem less friendly and more dismissive, often engaged in conversations among themselves and ignoring members as they enter the gym.

Additionally, I believe the gym could benefit from expanding its range of machines for glute workouts, such as adding a glute lift and a hack squat machine.

While the gym itself is satisfactory, the unfriendly and dismissive attitude of the staff, coupled with the limited equipment options, has prompted me to consider ending my membership. I hope that the gym management will take these concerns into consideration and make improvements to enhance the overall member experience.

I am new to the area. Just moved up from Florida and do not have my car here yet, it is parked in South Dakota. Until I have my apartment and bring my car here I'm forced to use my truck. Until then unless I want to stop working out I have to park my truck in the parking lot of this planet fitness. Initially I was a little concerned reading another review that said they couldn't park their truck here. Granted I am bob-tailed and just have the front part of my truck here however, on my first visit I saw a tractor with a 53' trailer here and today I see a Panther straight truck here and I haven't had a problem yet. Regarding the hours I had checked the hours to this particular planet fitness during the week and I saw they were open 24 hours and failed to look at their complete hours for the week assuming that they were 24 hours every day. They are not. Besides Florida not many Planet Fitnesses that I have bumped into along my route to North Dakota have I seen any 24 hour planet fitnesses so at least they are open 24 hours certain days of the week. And one last thing I wish they had a lateral raise machine but since they don't using dumbbells and cables for lateral raises and I wish that they had installed rock climbing holds by the pull up bar. I usually like to use that doing pull-ups to strengthen my fingers.

Why should I have to breathe in cleaning solutions when I'm working out? I didn't want to Interrupt her because that might have been what she was asked to do but still. I love the location but that shouldn't be something you do while people are working out. Chemicals for floor solution with no fan or nothing to balance the air flow at all. Poor experience.

**Frustrating Experience at Planet Fitness:**

I’ve been a loyal member of Planet Fitness for a while, but I'm incredibly frustrated by their lack of parking accommodations for semi-truck trailers. As a truck driver, staying fit on the road is important to me, and it's disheartening to arrive at a location ready to work out, only to find there’s no space for my vehicle. This isn’t just an inconvenience—it feels like they’ve completely overlooked the needs of those of us who travel for a living. It’s beyond frustrating that a gym promoting inclusivity doesn't cater to people with different lifestyles. For truck drivers like myself, this is a deal-breaker. Mandie was extremely professional and kind as she gave me a tour around the building and helped me with the information I needed as a new member of this gym. They change the schedule randomly and abruptly. "Sorry we have a sign on the door now that we will not be open today until midnight it's actually until 9" cool I picked the gym based on the hours you provide to the people. They change it randomly without any form of notice so if I go there at 10pm after work I have no way of knowing when their app they require you to have which gives you the official gym hours. They should easily be able to give a notice on the app and say "hey we are closed early today due to staffing etc." Like why do I pay if the availability I pay for isn't actually used. I pay for the convenience and for the times available. If staffing is an ongoing issue get better staff then. Other than that it's a gym. Not really unique but it's a gym so 3 stars. If they increase the hours that would be great or if they actually stick to the hours consistently that would be even better.

Ok gym but they don't enforce the rules. You can't really utilize the express 30 section on the weekends because there are people that just sit on whatever machine they want to, knowing the staff won't do anything about it. You'll also see people not cleaning the stations they just got done using. One thing you can count on is two or three staff members standing around up front talking to each other. Gym is really small for the volume of people and the "crowd meter" is very inaccurate. It's usually hard to get a treadmill without being right next to someone, that usually stinks really bad.

Honestly the worst gym in North Dakota the gm Tracey lets the staff do what they please and they are usually talking bad about guests and staff I've heard them talk about how big guests are and how they smell and the guests attitude id have an attitude as well if I had to deal with all you disrespectful employees they should either let go of the management and toxic employees or flatten the building. I’ve been going to this PF for a year now. I’m giving three stars because the area is small (no room for any type of HIIT or athletic training), not enough mirrors, LOTS of cardio equipment but not enough free weights/squat racks/ strength machines, and it’s not always clean (there have been some weird odors too). Recently, there have been a lot of machines out of order and have been out of order for quite some time now. Lastly, I wish it stayed open at least until 9pm on the weekends. Overall, the price is great. The tanning booths, massage chairs, and red light therapy are nice and relaxing. The guest passes are great too.

Edit (January 2024) I am increasing the stars because I am stoked about the bigger space, new equipment, and the abundance of strength training equipment. The larger and nicer locker rooms are also fantastic. Overall, the area is clean and the atmosphere is more stylish. Super motivated to go everyday!

My fiancé and I canceled our memberships last fall. He kept getting charged so we went in to ask for help at least. Staff kept repeating that it wasn’t their fault and there was nothing they could do. We understood and asked for a phone number we might be able to call to find someone who could help.

I have never seen a team of employees get so dumbfounded and frustrated when asked for a phone number. They couldn’t give us a phone number for anywhere because they just didn’t have it. Absolutely disappointed and the customer service quality quickly declined.

As usual Planet Fitness has THEE friendliest staff! I'm not stuck in a stupid contract and for the price of Black Membership, besides the equipment, I get to tan. (Some of these parts have never been exposed to ANY kind of UV before 😆) I gave this location a 4 star becuz the massage chairs seemed like they weren't up to par? Only 1 hydra massage bed was working and it would go thru cycles of pressure then no pressure. It's nice to just go and spoil myself, get some ME time. And the membership doesn't burn a hole in my pocket. Can't say enough good things about Planet Fitness. Oh! And the purple tootsie rolls! I don't grab 1 or 2, I grab a handful on the way in AND on the way out. 😆 They don't even care!
