What a heartbreaking experience with those that work at studio X!! I started reaching out back in august to schedule a couples session. I was connected with Britinie Savoie who schedule an hour long session with me for September 23. However on September 22 in the evening she messaged and had to cancel due to medical/sickness and she had another instructor reach out to me same day, which was very much appreciated. I was then connected with Emma Cassim who was able to schedule an hour long session with me for October 7th at 10am. We have to drive two hours and I messaged her when we hit the road at 8am. Got to the studio and it was locked and Emma would not answer calls or respond to texts. It frustrating and heartbreaking as these classes were to help prepare us for our wedding on the 28th and there are already such limited resources in this area!!

Studio X has been the best dance studio for my child! My daughter came to the studio with very little real dance training and in a year and a half Joshua Wise and Cerrin Lathrop have transformed her into a confident, competitive dancer with strong technique. She has fallen completely in love with Dance. Josh has an amazing ability to read his dancers strengths to build the most beautifully choreographed numbers where each dancer shines. I am so thankful for Josh and Cerrin and their inate ability to push my child and support her in her weaknessss while challenging her to continue to grow her strengths. In our short time it has become apparent that Studio X is very successful in building strong dancers as they win a multitude of awards at competitions regardless where they travel in the US.

I have a mixed review. The teachers are well qualified and pleasant to be around. But the favoritism is what made me leave. When it came to company auditions most of the girls competing already knew the routine from the season before while any new girls were left in the dust, because the ones that had been there a while knew the routine like the back of their hand. This was years ago it may have been fixed. But that is the worst that I could say.

I have been dancing at studio x for 4 years now and I have been in love since day one. I used to live in Bismarck and come down every week just to dance. It was very hard but I was very determined to dance at this studio because it made me become confident, stronger as a dancer, and stronger as a person. Now I have moved to Minot and became the happiest person that I can be here every day doing what I love. Everyone is so nice and we’re just a really big family! Yes, there was some drama but where is there not? At the end of the day we are all here to dance! Joshua has been nothing but kind to me and all the other dancers at the studio! He’s an amazing director, he’s very creative on his pieces, and he makes sure everyone gets the help they need! Cerrin is also one of the best people you will ever meet! She’s an amazing teacher, she never leaves a person hanging she helps everyone with what they are struggling with! She’s an inspiration and is passionate about the work she does! Studio x is my second home and I hope it can be yours too!

If you want a studio that is going to help you improve your dance and your confidence then this is your studio. Joshua Wise is a director that is going to push you as a dancer as well as build your confidence. He will push the dancers to where they feel they have nothing left to give only to see them peak and excel. He will encourage the dancers to reach deep into places that others may not want to go only to bring it to the surface in dance and to share it with the world. The passion that he gets the dancers to feel as well as demonstrate through dance is outstanding. The other teachers are just as dedicated and push the dancers just as hard. I highly recommend Studio X.

Joshua Wise is someone who has been driven by his art & passes that drive onto the dancers he works with. I've never participated as a dancer, but I have watched the laughter, tears, frustrations, and the proud smiles that come from the long hours. Josh is one of the best dance directors I've watched, and highly recommend sending your kids here to learn under him.

I trained under Artistic Director Joshua Wise for 5 years, as well as apprenticed with him as an assistant for over 3 years. As a dancer that circulated the entire Minot dance community prior to coming to Studio X, I can honestly tell you that you will not find a dance experience like Studio X anywhere else. The studio provides professional and knowledgeable instruction in all styles of dance, opportunities to travel across the country to conventions and classes with some of the best teachers and choreographers in the dance world, has an incredible competition program, and puts on beautiful full-length productions that include both recreational and competitive students.

My experiences at Studio X transformed my dancing, but more importantly, they were a fundamental part of my own personal growth. Joshua and Studio X taught me everything about discipline, teamwork, creativity, and self-love. Joshua's work reminds all of his students that what they have to say matters, and they can always tell their truth through dance. I left Studio X an empowered and confident young woman, and that was the greatest gift of all.

Studio X is undoubtably one of the best dance studios in town. I joined when I was 8 and stayed for several years. From working with young children to seniors in high school, you'll never find not just a business like Studio X, but a teacher like Joshua Wise. He is the reason that I loved to dance my entire childhood; he does everything he can to make sure every person that walks through the front door accomplishes their goals. If you have a child or you personally have an interest in dance, Studio X is my only recommendation.

Not a parent or student, but I have worked in a professional capacity with Studio X and their Artistic Director, Joshua Wise, for nearly half a decade. Josh is not only admired and revered by his students, he is truly adored. His students are beautiful dancers and the studio is renowned nationally, due in large part to Josh and his inventive choreography and breathtaking routines. The area the studio is in has a large military community so there are many dancers that come and go when parents get restationed, but you could never tell that these dancers haven’t been dancing together all their lives. This is a huge testament to the quality teachings the dancers receive and the time spent by Josh and his staff meticulously cleaning each and every routine. I would without a doubt trust my child’s dance education to Joshua Wise and his staff at Studio X.

My daughter has been with Studio X since she was 5 years old (now 13).. I have seen kids come and go with positive and negative feedback, but feel that the negative are just not strong enough to handle the industry in general.

I have witnessed several young dancers come through the doors with fear and intimidation,,, but I have also witnessed many of those same dancers bloom into beauty and confidence, with Joshua being the reason for that!

There will always be drama in every studio, with certain children or families feeling “left out”. But, I don’t think it’s fair to target one person or the studio. Sometimes, these parents and students need to realize that it’s Josh’s vision that gives the students their success. There is a reason we have had several years of National Championship dancers!

This studio changed my life. After constantly being put down by my previous studio, I switched to Studio X and was IN LOVE. I never felt more welcomed by other dancers and especially the director. He had nothing but great things to say about me and the other girls that I came up there with on the first day meeting him (which was also tryout day for us bismarck girls). I was only there for 2 years until I graduated, but it was the best two years of my dance life that I have ever exeperienced. There will always be the normal dance drama, but the director never brought it into class time, instead he focused on what was important, our dances. Joshua Wise is, hands down, the best artistic director in this area.

Studio X is filled with very high quality dancing and instruction. I started training with the Artistic Director in his first or second year of owning the studio. I never knew I would grow in such a tremendous way the following few years. I learned and gained great life lessons of teamwork, independence, CONFIDENCE & passion. I am now a well-known dance instructor and competition director in the region and owe a lot of my passion and success to my root, Studio X. We are continually challenged at Red River Dance by Josh's amazing vision, fantastic technique & love of the art. I was a student for 2 of the 14 years I danced. My only regret is not joining sooner. Josh is extremely talented and has an amazing gift. The pieces we did were always tasteful for our age and are still some of my most favorite today. By far the most creative artistic director in town.

The productions that Josh has put on with Studio X have been nothing less than amazing. I'm sorry to hear that you were offended by some of the critical words that may have been used.
